the only band t-shirts I see are for like metal/metalcore/pop punk or whatever i thought most people grew out of that phase like past 15

as a rule I don't usually wear anything with a print whatsoever on it but I happily wear this for certain occasions

mainly just so I can be recognised by other swamp 81 fans, worn it at a few club nights and will be wearing it for Parklife festival this year
I only just recently started listening to metalcore, I wasn't aware there was a prescribed age limit at which it was acceptable to enjoy music :v:
How should pants fit? Are they just supposed to be as slim as possible without being too tight?
what goes with gray pants? I own two pairs and know of literally no shirts to wear with them

there's not, i'm just very opinionated when it comes to music - it's probably worth ignoring 90% of the things i say :~)
How should pants fit? Are they just supposed to be as slim as possible without being too tight?
preferably yes. sometimes baggy looks alright but it's the norm at the moment to have skinny or at least slim jeans
just don't go full skin tight there needs to be a bit of give in them
How should pants fit? Are they just supposed to be as slim as possible without being too tight?
It depends on how your body as a whole is shaped. If you're a slim or average dude, then a slim or skinny pants cut is best for you. However, if you have HULKING BICEPS, GARGANTUAN ABS, and MASSIVE PECS and are wearing a GIANT FUCKING PARKA then slim pants won't work well with your proportions. It's better to have a roomier pants cut to balance out your top and bottom halves.
Also, take what else you're wearing into account. Workwear/vintage Americana clothing generally benefits from fuller pants. Gothninja and general streetwear looks often work best with slim pants.

Sorry to tell you but basically all bands have some apparel for sale
what goes with gray pants? I own two pairs and know of literally no shirts to wear with them
I dont have a pair of gray pants but I imagine they can go with anything since theyre a pretty neutral color?
Sometimes I wear tan, brown, burgundy or olive pants, and a gray t-shirt never goes wrong with it. Actually a gray simple t-shirt goes with pretty much anything, so again, if you a pretty mellow color on, you can have more color on the other half.
does anyone else in the UK see a lot of those really ugly "superdry" jackets that EVERY SINGLE MOTHERFUCKER seems to have been wearing for the past four years?
what goes with gray pants? I own two pairs and know of literally no shirts to wear with them
Depends on the color of your hair/skin.
Also, how gray? If it's lighter, then pastels can work nicely.
If it's darker, like charcoal, then other darker colors work too.
You can match it with other gray stuff, I saw someone doing that today and I thought it looked nice.
Blue also works well with gray. As does black and white.
Grey can go with anything really, its a value not a color. Take a look at the color wheel which comes from red, blue and yellow making up the rest of the colors and every color has its compliment or set of colors that compliment it; But black/grey/white do not have color and are not part of the color wheel, so they wont have a specific color that compliment it. Though I'd imagine you'd match grey (or any black through white shade) with the same shade or have a movement of white to black using grey to transition it (like white top, grey pants, and black shoes).
It can be used to help pop out the color of other pieces on your outfit too. It's versatile but bland.
I just posted that I bought a jacket, it happens to be black. I was wondering if wearing mostly black is frowned upon, because I typically wear black chinos and I feel I'm a bit too "dark".
Imagine this get up, but with a black trucker.

i think all black is pretty boring and easy but i think a bunch of people here like that sort of thing
Many stylish people still wear black, and it can still look good, so I think you're fine.
I'm getting bored with it personally, and intend to start wearing more pastels, especially as spring rolls around.
how faux pas would a tan trench coat be?
[editline]18th February 2014[/editline]
i don't like peacoats at all and i figure they are a better overwear alternative
[editline]18th February 2014[/editline]
something like this

but better looking (im still looking)
it's can be difficult to pull off, but if you get one, it should be longer than that one.

i feel like a black jacket and black trousers would look really odd, i'd wear a black trucker with just normal light blue denim jeans (although in this case you'd have to ditch the denim shirt) but couldn't see myself wearing one with black jeans
Just got my first pair of Jordans.
Nike Air Jordan VI Infrared.

I don't like wearing a black jacket and black jeans personally. One of my levis jackets is a grey/charcoal, basically a very washed and worn black, and it looks fine with black pants but I'd almost always rather wear dark denim with black.

wearing a black top and black bottom works when they have different textures (like a knit sweater and denim, for example), but i agree with you it would look odd wearing a trucker and jeans like that, sorta like a black canadian tuxedo
You're more handsome than those boring mcaverage dudes imo
they sorta look like boring old men cuts, i think you'd suit (from that page you linked) something more like paul or ethan
i can't be arsed linking the images
I like the picture on the right more. I'd go much shorter on the sides though.
Oh hey, I suggested that page! I actually get my hair cut like the dude on the right and I look much better than with my sloppy medium length hair.

Nice. The bright orange works well with the monochrome outfit.

What don't you like about it Rusty? It attracts attention to his face well, and it breaks up otherwise boring clothing.

that hat lol
[editline]24th February 2014[/editline]
also white shoes
white shoes are not a problem at all but I don't like the hat. would be better with a dark gray one.
Not a fan of the hat. I think it'd work with some other color or if everything was just a darker hue. I like the rest of it tho, I dress similarly palette wise nowadays
