Visible sock looks terrible. It's a real neckbeard tell. Anyone with a clue wears no shows
that's a really weird opinion buddy

are you talking about with shorts? because i'm talking about underneath pants, where you can't see them anyway, except maybe when you're sitting or lying down
I don't know how you missed the ankle socks boat dude, it's just the thing to do?
If you're wearing pants with high tops or boots or something then who cares I guess, but even so I would wear no shows in case my pants rode up at the ankle and showed embarrassing sock :v:
[editline]9th March 2014[/editline]
Which does tend to happen when sitting down for a while so yeh
what the fuck kind of world do you live in where showing a little bit of sock is embarrassing
dear god what have I done, but alright, let me speak my mind on this issue
i wanted noshow socks because I'll be wearing loafers and it's getting pretty warm already.
I would never wear those with stuff like hitops or something similar, hitops + ankle just looks really silly as opposed to sock.
I'll pop in and give my $0.02.
I have socks that go about half way up my shin. When it's winter, and I'm wearing long pants, I'm definitely wearing those socks. They feel better with the shoes I wear, and you can't see them with the pants. But when I'm wearing shorts? I'd much rather avoid them. It looks really awkward to me.
I wear tall socks whenever I wear a shoe with a heel, otherwise low ankle socks are the only ones I'll wear.
Anyone know some european stores that sell Stacy Adams? The import taxes are gonna be a bit too much if i'm having them shipped to Denmark from their own store. Shipping to the UK is fine too.
Or some other boots that looks like the Stacy Adams Madison.
whats wrong with showin a bit of sock?
invisible sock makes it look like you're not wearing any socks. which makes you look like a fuckin weirdo who probably has super smelly rank ass feet
it's a disruption maaaaaaaan
srs q: Are there any hats that aren't completely frowned upon?
Any hat looks good as long as you make it look good.
Fedoras are just infamously hard to get right in modern fashion

nothing wrong with something like a simple skullcap in cold winter weather for me

I liked Spring Breakers
But I also wear shin-high socks, so

That depends on your wardrobe. For instance, I've got oodles of black & white, and blue looks good on me, so I'd probably get blue.
Joe-Schmoe might wear earthy tones and go for green.

I thought this whole thing was around socks with shorts. I wear no show's when I'm wearing low top shoes while wearing shorts and nice tall wool socks with jeans. I wear 6"-8" boots 95% of the time with pants and no show socks, or ankle socks would be terrible.
Tall socks and shorts doesn't look good in my opinion. Even worse is tall socks and Adidas sandals which is the go to wear for guys at my university.
I was watching Super Size Me and for some reason I really liked this jacket he had, where can I buy a coat like this for the spring?

in the UK
Are any of you guys super tall? Like, more than 6 foot 4? I'm 6 foot 6, and I have a hard time finding good jeans since my inseam is in between 38 and 40, and the highest Levi's sells online is 38. That's worked for a while, but I kind of want to switch to 40-length soon, and I don't really know anything about Big & Tall shopping or how to find fashionable pants for tall men. I only have two pairs of jeans, one black and one blue, and two pairs of awkwardly-tailored suit pants. I would love to find some khaki-colored corduroy pants, but I'm having issues finding them. My main issue is that "Big and Tall" is really just a polite term for "fat guy pants", so there's absolutely nothing with a 34 waist and a 38 inseam. It pisses me off so much when I open a Big and Tall section on a website only to see the smallest waist is 40.
I wrote this really hastily, I'm sorry.
TL;DR: I'm mega tall, pants are 34-by-38, and no one sells 34-by-38 corduroy pants, which I would sure love to get a hold of.
[sp]I'm super excited though cuz Shaq started a suit line with the intent of giving Big & Tall guys more variety and that means big guys like me wont suffer for too much longer[/sp]

one that's at least a size too big, though
late reply, but lmfao. the jacket is a size too small. i can barely put it on and it's one of the most uncomfortable things ever, but it was final sale. I basically can't wear it with anything more than a t-shirt. it's allsaints
srs q: Are there any hats that aren't completely frowned upon?
beanies. 5 panel hats, regular baseball caps.
buckethats and straw hats if you know what you're doing and they fit your style
brimmed hats ("fedoras", "cowboy hats", "stevie ray vaughn hats", whatever the hell. just go to stylezeitgeist or superfuture) hats can be extremely cool if you know how to dress yourself, but you generally need to shell out a lot of money for a good one. rule of thumb, if the hat has an anime or videogame reference on it you're probably autistic and are one of the people who doesn't know how to wear it
here are some recent fits:

ok well it just looked too big/puffy because i guess there were too many layers under it
but your tshirts and shirts are definitely too big. the cuffs are bunched up on your hand. go a size smaller
Doesn't look like anything special to me, some utility wear. Perhaps look on North Face?

ugh. no, they're not.
I don't have the same fit preferences as you. I don't know why you don't realize this. I specifically pick tees that fit oversized.
not everyone wants to look like they applied their clothes with a paint roller
clothing is only flattering if it hugs every single contour of your body, you should know this by now
i just replaced my skin with clothing, get on my level scrublords
I melt down all my clothes and then bathe in the liquid, it's like metal plating your body but with fabric!
I don't have the same fit preferences as you.
wearing clothes that dont fit you properly is a bad and wrong preference

this is the wrong place for an actual conversation on variation of fits or clothes in general lol.
i always try to wear M-size shirts over 'well-fitting' S-size ones
the smaller ones tend to be way too tight and really douchebaggy-looking, mostly because I work out
