ugh. no, they're not. I don't have the same fit preferences as you. I don't know why you don't realize this. I specifically pick tees that fit oversized. not everyone wants to look like they applied their clothes with a paint roller
What to go with the big baggy weeaboo jeans you seemed so intent on defending?
wearing clothes that dont fit you properly
what is "fit you properly" and can you explain it to Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester and Rei Kawakubo please?
is a bad and wrong preference
lol
youre like a teenage girl going through her awkward stage
you will realize how dumb you are in a few years when the "painted on workwear/bizcaz" trends have blown over, and GQ is telling you to buy boxy jackets and loose pants to make you look "powerful" and "relaxed" instead of the "sharp" and "timeless" buzz-words they use today.
What to go with the big baggy weeaboo jeans you seemed so intent on defending?
no. I don't wear loose jeans because they don't fit my style. I wear oversized tees and boxy shirts/outerwear because I like how they look. Because my frame is small, with very little upper body mass and wide hips I pretty much have to wear looser tops to even out my proportions. This doesn't bother me because I like how drapey shirts look anyways, and I prefer my sleeves to end way past my wrist, partially covering just the tops of my hands. Trust me, I wore "properly fitting clothes" for ages and it looked terrible and didn't suit my physique. If you want further evidence that "slimmer" isn't always better, go watch literally any Hedi Slimane collection- be it Dior or SLP, or whatever. Or just record yourself in movement and realize how awkward many of the "well-fitting" clothes you like can actually look. (hint: the answer is just as awkward as you think loose clothes look) Both of you have a very one dimensional view on clothing.
So Sav, is that black jacket denim or not? And who made it
It's a black denim trucker from Allsaints. I don't think they sell that specific one any more (If they did I'd try and sell this one and buy it again in a size up) but they do sell some similar ones. Quality is okay but it's overpriced. I would've gone with Levi's, but I live in Canada and Levi's jackets are marked up to $140 here.
i always try to wear M-size shirts over 'well-fitting' S-size ones the smaller ones tend to be way too tight and really douchebaggy-looking, mostly because I work out
What the? how do you look douchebaggy wearing a well fitted shirt because you work out? I body build and I only get well fitted shirts, clothes should compliment your body. I am pretty sure no one walks by me and goes "wow look at the douchebag and his well fitted shirt, you can see that he works out what what a fucken faggot" Plus whats the point of body building every day if I'm just going to get loose clothes and hide my body? By your logic if wearing a fitted shirt makes you look like a douchebag because you work out then having no shirt on or a tank top on in the summer will make you look like a douchebag because everyone will see that you work out. I just don't get wanting to hide a body that you spend hours making look good for the fear that one random moron might think you look like a douchebag. Like you remind me of those guys at the gym with small legs or small arms who wear a full on shirt/sweater and pants while working out and sweat like crazy in them because they are insecure about their body, that's what I'm reading from your posts. But yeah for skinnyish people I can forgive the a bit over sized shirts since it's not like tight shirts compliments anything but tight shirts still look better and more sharp but it doesn't look that bad on you Savaril
You sound like a douchebag to me idk he might have something there
holy shit i just don't like the look of tight-ass shirts get the fuck over it
holy shit i just don't like the look of tight-ass shirts get the fuck over it
*posts his opinion, questions it* "I JUST DONT LIKE IT GET THE FUCK OVER IT!" lol calm down man, if you don't want anyone responding to your posts then don't post I guess? but you honestly could of just said that instead of giving a dumb reason like basically saying "if you work out and wear a tight fitting shirt you look like a douchebag"
Thanks levis.com.au, thanks a fucking bunch
It's so annoying, and half the time the stores it shows you are either far away or don't have the exact thing your looking for, just ship it ffs you damn stores.
what I was talking about myself, not other people [editline]13th March 2014[/editline] meaning i don't like how it looks on ME
youre really defensive over your jeans man
that's so fucking dumb. some of us just like clothes for the sake of clothes. This thread has a really bad time having an open mind to different styles but I think the purpose of the thread was never for that but it's the only place on FP where we can talk clothes anyways. This thread I think was really to get the people who never thought about clothes to get a good handle with it. But once you do, you either decide that "cool i look decent enough Im done with this" or you go deeper in this shit and get more into more weirder stuff that you like, you know develop a personal style. Yeah, people do experiment and it might end up looking goofy but FULS is not even a good place for that since most of the response is gonna be like "LOL THATS OBJECTIVELY BAD" or "WOW STOP TAKING CLOTHES SO SERIOUSLY"
what I was talking about myself, not other people [editline]13th March 2014[/editline] meaning i don't like how it looks on ME
Ahhh i read that as you meant in general, sorry mate! Anyways buying new glasses today, hopefully this will be the last pair until I get laser eye surgery, but time to finally get something that looks good and fashionable. Probably the only thing I still have that looks like shit fashion wise.
It's so annoying, and half the time the stores it shows you are either far away or don't have the exact thing your looking for, just ship it ffs you damn stores.
Yeah it's the worst, the nearest store is right across the city and I have no idea what stock they have Plus the gear isn't even PRICED, come on
hahah holy shit i love this thread. i come in here like once a month and there's always a shitstorm about the same things. and there's always one post like this. how do you guys manage it?
what is "fit you properly" and can you explain it to Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester and Rei Kawakubo please?
Is this even a point? You're just naming designers to look like you have some background knowledge to break out in an argument. The designers aren't even similar, it's like me saying "Can you explain proper music to Mozart, R Kelly and Elton John?"
they all have clothes that don't "fit".
http://www.elephantwallet.com/e8wallet.html Hey guys, I need an opinion on this. +Slim and convenient. Ideal for someone like me who doesn't carry much in the way of cards and also has a good chunk of his wallet in app form (like membership cards or gift cards,) and also ideal for the front or inside coat pocket. +Cheap; it's only $11 USD. -Could potentially look like a toy. Traditional bifold or trifold leather wallets have a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them seem adult that something like this would obviously lack. I'm worried about looking juvenile by carrying something like this. -Cheap; it's only $11 USD (And sometimes, you get exactly what you pay for.) So what do you think? Do you think I'm worrying too much about the fashion aspect as long as I get a color like brown, navy blue, or black, or do you think convenience and practicality trumps fashion? Should I stick with my current leather wallet, or do you have any alternatives?
Wallet
I've never liked those at all, if you want to get something minimal use a money clip
I wear medium size shirts instead of small even though small fits because i'm really really skinny with twig arms and I have pectus excavatum with flared ribs so I don't really want to show off my torso/arms
I've never liked those at all, if you want to get something minimal use a money clip
Not sure if money clips are any better; they lack privacy, and have the air of a show off ("Hey everybody, look at how much money I have! Make sure you mug me, haha!" I consider them to be just a step above money rolls.) [editline]13th March 2014[/editline]
I wear medium size shirts instead of small even though small fits because i'm really really skinny with twig arms and I have pectus excavatum with flared ribs so I don't really want to show off my torso/arms
Start lifting.
what is "fit you properly" and can you explain it to Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester and Rei Kawakubo please?
gg u read fashion blogs, the rest of us don't because then we'd end up dressing like you do [editline]13th March 2014[/editline]
you will realize how dumb you are in a few years when the "painted on workwear/bizcaz" trends have blown over, and GQ is telling you to buy boxy jackets and loose pants to make you look "powerful" and "relaxed" instead of the "sharp" and "timeless" buzz-words they use today.
"look at me i'm ahead of the curve i don't dress like everybody else this means i'm better than you" [editline]13th March 2014[/editline] Away from the Savaril discussion, however, I've just got an apprenticeship with a games developer as a 3D artist and it looks like I'm going to have to wear a black t-shirt with the company logo on it as a "uniform". I'm usually the kind of person to wear boots, desert boots, or chukkas and I think matching them up with a graphic tee that has an awful logo on it isn't going to look great - so I'm half tempted to become a massive hypocrite and buy a pair of Roshe Run's, some Air Safari's or a pair of New Balance. I don't know what to buy, the shoes I do have I'm getting tired of and I want something new
Start lifting. Witness The Fitness will help you get started. A strong, athletic body is always in style.
with pectus excavatum and flared ribs you'll need to get really fucking big to not notice it if your shirt is tight. [editline]13th March 2014[/editline] seriously, savaril wears pretty normal clothes. nothing really oversized.
seriously, savaril wears pretty normal clothes. nothing really oversized.
personally i don't have a problem with what he wears, most of it looks decent. he's just incredibly pretentious and annoying
I started looking at my wardrobe again and comparing it to other people. I notice that I might wear some stuff that would be considered louder or would make me stand out in a way. Not talking about highlighter yellow shoes or some 80's ski jacket, but just the colors and patterns in general. I think Im fine with it though, Im still stylin and at the same time I look a bit different from the other generally hipster people.
Start lifting. Witness The Fitness will help you get started. A strong, athletic body is always in style.
lol i don't have the time for that
