Improve the pants. Cargo pants are almost always a no-go. With that shirt, I would get either skinny jeans in somewhere between black and a dark blue, or get slim chinos in any range of tan between mustard and khaki. The shirt itself seems pretty solid. But maybe that's because I'm in Vermont and flannel might as well just be the fucking state flag here :v After you've got the pants sorted out, I would go for a new bag. Black nylon just sends out a greasy, creepy vibe that you don't want to be sendin' out. Check out some of the backpacks manufactured by Herschel, or (like I did) get a brown leather messenger bag if you're the more dressed up type, but it seems like a Herschel backpack would fit you well. And while I'm posting here, does anyone know an online site where I can buy really cheap blazers? Like, H&M cheap, I'm talking $60 USD or below. I would just go to H&M but again, I'm in Vermont, and this hippie hellhole has no H&Ms.
Thanks! Those pants are skinny actually, they stick to my legs. (h&m chino) I'll check those colors out, thought about mustard pants but never bothered checking how they'd look on me. Shirt is abercrombie and I usually don't wear any bag, just my laptop in a handbag! [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] About that blazer, you could always try Celio if you're european.
When I can be bothered, I wear the classic leather unzipped biker jacket/grey zipper combo, along with my white wifebeater, some boots with a cowboy feel to them and pretty basic jeans. for accessories I wear maybe a couple of rings, a leather wrist cuff and a choker necklace. how does this make you feel?
The jacket and the boots depend, there's a lot of different ones out there. If the jacket doesn't have a shitload of unnecessary designs and zippers, it's probably ok. I don't know much about boots but I guess we could tell how good they are if you get us a picture.
Whats your opinion of shirts like this FULS? I'm talking about the small pattern like stuff, except i'm leaning more towards a bit bigger pattern.
They're pretty cool, I need to get some of those, I already have way too many plaid shirts
So I have been rocking H&M chinos for a while now and I really like the fit, but the quality of the pants is very mediocre. Are there any nice fitting chinos out there for around the same price as H&M's?
uniqlo asos (when they're on sale)
asos (when they're on sale)
Asos quality is pretty hit and miss. My friend bought an asos bomber jacket and it ripped within the first week. While the store has a nice selection, just try not to buy their home brand clothing

I guess I'll just keep rocking H&M.

I can't speak for any of their other clothes though.
i hate imgur
[t]http://i.imgur.com/VgfyyIt.jpg[/t] Here ya go.
I have tonnes of asos brand stuff, all of it is perfectly good quality (Can't speak for the bombers specifically since I haven't bought one of them)
i have a pair of h&m chinos and theyre pretty good, I spent like 20€-30€ on them so theyre not high end stuff either. And another pair of tapered pants from LOGG, which is some kind of collection from H&M i think, and theyre fucking sturdy, no problems with them yet
is good

They're pretty cool, I need to get some of those, I already have way too many plaid shirts
Know any international brands that sell this kind of shirt? Also:

Maybe I'm just being a bitch.
I've worn so much of the white shirt / plaid buttoned at bottom, clean jeans mix I decided to go shopping and try a new style. I went for less color, where I wanted to match a gray vest with gray pants and a lighter shirt for a retro 20's style. I found exactly what I was looking for: [IMG_THUMB]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75010084/clo1.jpg[/IMG_THUMB] [IMG_THUMB]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75010084/clo2.jpg[/IMG_THUMB] I also found an array of different shirts, pants and another vest so that I could create the 30's and 40's Norwegian laborer look. Watcha' think? I'll get a better belt soon. (This is casual style by the way, I like to fancy :v: )
I have a lot of own brand items from Asos. The only shady quality items I bought were some of their canvas boots, and one of their shirts is made from a kind of shitty material. They still look good though.

way too formal to wear casually

You think it will look good and classy, but in the end you'll either look like a douche or a try hard. you just dont have the body type to pull it off
On the topic of Asos how do they fit? I wear 30 inch waist on Levi 511s, 31 on H&m and 32 in Zara so I'm not really sure what to go for without trying them
You have no idea how much I despise vests as casual wear D3TBS said it all, it makes you look like a tryhard. Even super classy people don't wear that on a daily basis, if you want to be classy, just buttondown shirts, the right shoes, the right pants and etc, keep it simple. Also IMO it kinda takes away from when you actually have to wear a suit and be classy "Oh you're just kinda wearing the same thing you wear everyday, with a blazer over it"
Waistcoat without a jacket gives off a bartender vibe very easily.
I'm going to some "high-end" thrift store in search of dress shirts/nice OCBDs. What brands should I keep an eye out for? edit: Ended up finding nothing anyway. But I got a pair of 501 STFs for the first time. Should be interesting to see how this works over the next few months.
-snip, accidental double post-
even though this is a fashion thread, I wonder why we dont post pictures of ourselves that more often really. I mean, I dont even know how half of you dress anyway
I would post pics if I had a proper mirror and camera too bad, eh?
I was gonna post a picture of myself now that you said that, but I looked through the ones on my phone and I realized I don't actually have any. But in all honesty, I don't think all the clothes I have would be considered acceptable by people here. I do try to keep it simple, but I have quite a few graphic tees, for example.
I agree d3t but I for one don't have the money for a camera and kind of despise shitty phone camera pictures of mirrors :/
