how do you get your hair to sit like that in the front? my hair is just swept to the side. just got a haircut, when it get's longer I would love to have my hair hang out in the front similarly to that
[editline]27th April 2014[/editline]
maybe i just dont have the hair for it
Here's how I do my hair.
Apply a small amount of heavy matte wax to the hair to give it substance and shape
Curl my hair with straighteners, the wax previously applied will bind the ends of the hair, so if you apply more wax before hand the curled effect with be emphasized but in that photo.
Then generously apply a medium-strong hairspray
Bitches love my hair
i just posted what it means - 'self edged'. it keeps seems and edges from unraveling.

oh oops, didn't notice that previous post, thanks anyway!
in my experience button flies are an absolute pain in the ass to deal with, they're usually very tight and cramped and they're slow to open and close
zippers are literally the evolutionary master race

i don't mind button flies, you can pull them open pretty quickly if you pull them properly
closing them doesn't take much longer either
comparably, i have more problems with zips getting stuck, broken etc.
I've never had jeans rip apart on me, ever
sorry but I don't go dragging them on concrete or anything
skating causes a lot of this for me (more so from falling off and stuff but same thing) so i always have to buy relatively cheap denim like ASOS etc. :(

I really like these shoes. They're $135AU. What do you guys think? I'd wear them with suits and just casual.
Also, does anyone know where I can get reasonably priced suits in Australia? I've got a job coming up and I'll need to wear a suit 5 days a week. So I'll need a few different ones.
what brand is that?
what brand is that?
my detective skills (i looked at the name of the photo) tell me it's a WILD RHINO shoe

Indeed it is.

The salmon shorts - are they a good length/fit?
The henley - does it fit? One button undone or none? Sleeves rolled up or down?
The v neck - good fit? V too deep? Chest hair?
Are the shirts too big?
shorts are gross - buy a size or so down in shirts.
shorts length are okay, if not a teeny bit too long for me. Fit seems a bit tight from the inside of your thighs but it could just be the picture. They do seem kind of bulgy in the groin area, and this isn't a good thing but again it could just be the picture

Henleys are horrible at the best of times, and that is not the best of times at all
if you have to wear a henley at least wear it completely buttoned up, it also fits pretty awkwardly (and I'm normally a big fan of baggy fitting shirts)
the v neck is fine except for the fact that it's a v neck :v:

these look fooking crazy
would put them on display

Yo FULS I am going to a work-sponsored party with the girl (free drinks and free food!? yes please) and the caveat is, I need cocktail attire. Which is good because I need a suit for my cousin's wedding in August, so everything works out.
My question is - where the hell is a good place to get a suit under $200ish? Looking for something a little "funner" than a black suit, with a 2 button blazer and matching slacks. I am way good on dress shirts and ties, considering I have a dozen of my own as well as my dad's collection of ties to pilfer.
Do you have Jack and Jones or Bertoni in America? You do right? They usually sell some nice casual ones and some finer suits that shouldn't cost you a ton.
Don't think we do. The only places I really know where to get stuff is Men's Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank, and I'm really not sure how I feel about either of those places. H&M sells blazers and shit too but I'm not sure I'd trust an H&M suit.
Well I'm not sure what you like, but for that party you are hosting I'd probably just wear a nice set of pants, (not ones that are part of a set for a suit) and then find a blazer that looks nice with it. Doesn't have to be the same color. But you mentioned you were going to a wedding, I don't think it would matter too much if you had some colors on but I guess it varies from person to person. Don't you have a shopping street or something? Wear some pants you could see yourself in at the party and just go out and try a bunch of blazers on I guess.
I don't have slacks that fit me anymore which is also the problem :v: Which is why I want to just get the full suit.
I'm also not hosting the party, my workplace is.
Oh. Well stylish doesn't always have to me a matching suit. Sometimes I just want to wear a pair of comfortable nice pants, and then I'll do something "formal" to put over the shoulders. But I'm probably not nearly as old as you are, this is just how I feel best.

not saying you're old, saying I'm young.
For $200 your options are really limited to something like H&M or Asos, you're not gonna find anything of great quality at that price unless you get lucky at a thrift store.

What sort of budget should I be looking at, then? I can probably wedge in $300, but I gotta pay for next semester of college too :v:
J. Crew Ludlow suits are pretty decent and are around $400 on sale.
Stay in your budget for 200 bucks. It's not impossible, it might be if you're looking for a matching set of pants though, which is why I suggested you wearing some nice pants you already own. You said you don't have any tho' :c. Just go out looking and try finding something reasonable.
[editline]28th April 2014[/editline]
think about it. you might use the suit 1-2 times. dont burn your money. not worth it,
What do you guys think?
I got my hair cut but overall I think it looks pretty good, but any tips?

bowtie doesn't look great
purple shirt is pretty ugly
suit jacket is a bit big, can't really see the pants
waistcoat on its own without a jacket doesn't look good
You have a big smile on your face, that makes everything look better. looking happy that is

The link above it has three pictures. Purple shirt with/without jacket and a white shirt with jacket, no vest.
What is wrong with the purple shirt and bow tie? I personally thought it suited me well, but I'm open to opinions.
that's your hair after it's been cut? boy I'd hate to see what it looked like beforehand

99.9999% of the time short hair is better, and this is definitely one of those cases.
