Does anyone here tailor their own clothes? I'm thinking of making some of my straight leg jeans skinny by sewing a new seam down the leg. Mainly due to straight leg looking like wide pants on me because of my size.
Any tips ?
Sewing demin isn't the easiest, you'll need like leatherworking needle and thread or something. I looked into it a while back, normal stitching won't cut it for durability apparently.

Huh. Even the original stitching on the jeans in question isn't that good, it's just basic seam, or are you talking about the flat-felled seam? Never heard about using a needle and thread, was just planning on running down the side with a sewing machine.
ok i need shoe advice again, piece of shit chukkas I bought have been falling apart pretty much since the day I got em (hence why they were on clearance I suppose)
I need something that won't cook my foot if it gets really hot. I'm going to vegas in August, and it's gonna be scorching hot, so I'd like to not roast my toes.

Look into something like nike free 4's, they're knitted mesh stuff so they've got good airflow

When the dress code says "Black tie" it doesn't mean you have to wear a bow tie does it? My friend is having an 18th and most of the boys are insisting I wear a bowtie, but I really don't like bowties ever since the whole ironic revival thing.
Black tie usually just means formal wear. If the rest of them are going to wear bowties, don't try to be the odd man out by not doing it. It's kind of a dick move, unless they just want you to wear one.
I don't understand why people like bowties though.

i'm very sorry there's more than one place on the internet where people talk about clothing
i think maybe the point was that everyone is encouraged to dress like old people, and nothing else.
i think maybe the point was that everyone is encouraged to dress like old people, and nothing else.
except the last two pages have been indian cab driver, korean jacket, and talk about raw skinny jeans.
i totally get it, everyone here is dressing like old people
okay, i'll change it to "boring"
those were the last two pages, this is a slow moving thread yo. if it was a real life conversation those two pages would have lasted for 15 seconds of talking anyway.

If you walked out wearing one, and then changed and wore the other, no one would know the difference.
