So I was at h&m and uniqlo yesterday scavenging for cheap stuff that I can barely afford and found this jacket i like and i looked at the price tag and it said $5, so i was like wtf, went to the register and the guy's like opps that's supposed to say $50 but sold it to me for $5 anyways cause he hated working at h&m
Nothing wrong with me beyond being legally deaf and blind. I suppose you guys could call me fashionally impaired though. I haven't exactly put much thought on this sort of stuff since I've always been overweight so function has always driven before any consideriation for looks.
Learning how to dress is pretty easy. Look at outfits you think look good on other people and dress similarly. The top of wayt threads on reddit mfa are a good source usually.

If you're going to post in this thread and reject advice, then yeah. To keep it short the best thing you can do is observe what other people are wearing. Understated and humble celebrities are good to watch. Also for anyone interested I started another Fashion related tumblr http://kvr0.tumblr.com

Then wearing shoes that make your feel look huge (mainly because you have tight jeans on)

It will make a world of difference when wearing shoes like that. Your pants look ridiculous when paired with those shoes because it looks like you have a pair of socks on that go up to your waist. Other than that, the jacket is pretty nice.
Ok, one more example, this time my current formal(ish) wear (from summer). How's this? Of course, your body shape and weight will determine what you look good wearing, but judging from this picture, you should be fine wearing most good looking clothes. You should never have hair like that, it is horrible. Don't wear blue jeans. Don't tuck them in. Don't wear dress shoes with jeans. Don't wear turtlenecks. DO NOT WEAR A COWBOY HAT.
They are slim, but h&m and uniqlo slim fit tapperd jeans are basically skinny. They hardly feel tight but they don't hang off the leg if that's what you mean, i feel more comfortable in more well fitting jeans. I think these are 31/34, maybe it just seems skinnier cause of the downwards angle.

[t]http://puu.sh/bhXZV/9138ce2be2.jpg[/t] edit: bought this coat for 3 dollars today, just trying to find out what the brand is. all I can read is co>something<to?
corto
corto
that's what I was thinking but nothing seems to come up except some italian comic. oh well, mustn't be a big brand or something then, might just be some kiwi thing.
I assume Coca Cola blasted them off the face of the earth
either i'm super scrawny or 510s can hardly be considered skinny jeans
Levis seem to run somewhat big, their skinnys fit me like other brands slims fit me.
American Apparel is bad and overpriced. I don't care if they don't use sweatshops or not
American Rags on the other hand are fuckin great

What's everyone's opinion on jerseys? I like soccer and baseball jerseys a lot. I find other jerseys really hard to wear around.
don't do it just casually

My work requires me to wear all black so I bought: - All black Timberlands - Cheap Monday Black Skinny Jeans - Nike Swoosh Crewneck Sweatshirt - A black and A white unbranded ASOS tshirt.
aren't you gonna sweat wearing timberlands all day?
timberlands are so meh
aren't you gonna sweat wearing timberlands all day?
Probably, but we all have to make sacrifices. Plus I need boots and Timberlands are majestic. I might wear trainers if its unbearable
i dont understand why people are so into timbs they're literally the most clunky, drab-looking utilitarian boot out there
i dont understand why people are so into timbs they're literally the most clunky, drab-looking utilitarian boot out there
Some people got clunky boots as a part of their "style" (Doc Martens, Timberland, etc)
