Some people got clunky boots as a part of their "style" (Doc Martens, Timberland, etc)
yeah i know
but when i hear "timberlands" i think "works on a farm or a construction site"
i dont understand why people are so into timbs
they're literally the most clunky, drab-looking utilitarian boot out there
Big boots need more lovin :-)
I'm not going to argue because everyone can have their own opinion but to me Timberlands, although they are clunky and associated with manual labour, the notorious 6" boot is now a classic. I particularly like the black because it tones down the chunkiness and makes them look subtly sleeker. Also I really like black.

I actually think the opposite, the nice timberlands are too expensive for that. CAT boots are builders boots
all the gangbangers where i live wear timberlands
would i look like a massive ass if i wore this shirt

if you guys think this is decent ill probably buy it later and post pics (then proceed to cry for wasting $40 if it looks shit on me)
i personally think it looks okay but it's probably too out there or something
would look like shit on anyone, don't buy it
$40 is far too much for an experimental piece.

And this is coming from a guy who loves floral patterns. Pass.

if you have the money, well you could probably use it for layering and stuff but i wouldn't wear it on its own

I managed to find these a goodwill today with a couple marks on them but no wear in my size for $5
I also found an iridescent shirt

figures. if it was significantly cheaper i probably would have bought it on the spot but yeah $40 is too much for experimenting. oh well
it's not really! Buttoned shirts don't come very much cheaper than $40!
it's not really! Buttoned shirts don't come very much cheaper than $40!
I think the fact that I live in Poland and you live in Australia has something to do with that.
Not sure how strong $ is in UAE, but from what Sad. is telling us, that shirt is a bit pricey there.
or maybe hes just used to buying really, really, really cheap shirts. the kind you shouldn't be
or maybe hes just used to buying really, really, really cheap shirts. the kind you shouldn't be
Not saying $40 is too much for a good quality shirt, but it is sure too much for a shirt with floral patterns that won't really work with other casual stuff.
[editline]5th September 2014[/editline]
Especially if you are on a tight budget.

Yeah I know polish people (only because they work abroad to make comparatively huge money and then bugger off back to Poland) but I know nothing financially about the UAE. So I guess you're right. I don't know why you would shop online at all if you lived somewhere with a weak currency though, surely you'd stay national by necessity in most cases
[editline]5th September 2014[/editline]
The shirt isn't bad though tbh, I don't do the floral thing myself but I like the pattern
best floral shirt i've seen tbh, wouldn't look bad oversized with some nice black jeans + brogues or something

i was from UAE but im currently in the Philippines, i dont know why flagdog doesnt change. $40 is indeed very pricey here afaik. or maybe im just poor as fuck, seeing as how most of my shirts costs around half. ive paid more if i really like the piece of clothing though.
but yeah makoskydub ive seen buttoned shirts for less but theyre really shit. i have to pay a decent amount for nice buttoned shirts it seems :( it's hard to find good but cheap ones
and by the way ive seen it on a store here, i just converted the price to usd (and found the shirt online to post pics)
Ah. Well if you really like it and it actually fits your style (thus you won't look like an ass hopefully) then I say buy it.
Yeah, I'm going to change my opinion. If you know you can pull that shirt off, go for it.
If people here say that $40 is a good price for a shirt, I will believe them.
I don't remember the last time I bought something that wasn't on sale, I can feel my wallet turning into a black hole by just looking at the "new collections" section in any store I visit :v:

My Timbs just arrived
So what job requires you to wear all black?
So what job requires you to wear all black?
Working for a fashion talent scouting firm called Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. I'm really excited.
I don't know what to do about a black shirt or tshirt though.
Working for a fashion talent scouting firm called Fashion Scout
and ur wearing timbs? yikes
timbs are a rugged boot, for actual work. you wouldn't use CDBs or red wings heritage in a construction site, like you wouldn't use timbs in fashion.
I guess they do work in some fits, but it's better off just to use them for work.
and ur wearing timbs? yikes
The dress code says strictly all black and comfortable shoes. I wanted black Timbs anyway, but I will probably also bring a pair of All Black Roshes and a Chelsea Boot. I think the all black Timbs look really good, the black creates a subtly the old boots lacked yet it retains the iconic Timberland image.

That's cool as fuck

6" Timbs are pretty fashionable atm tho
I don't get how people in this thread still consider them nothing more than rugged work boots when many influential people and fashion icons are constantly seen wearing them :v:
i don't give a fuck what kanye wears, i still think timbs look like shit
It's definitely an iconic design
