Alright so undershirts, should I wear anything underneath my black suit and white dress shirt? I can see my nips underneath if I take off the jacket and since it's a wedding reception, most likely I'll be taking off my jacket to dance later in the night.
If you do, wear a normal PLAIN WHITE OR GREY shirt under it. If you wear a graphic tee or any colour except white or grey you're going to look like a complete scrub if anyone sees it.

it depends if you want people to see your nipples or not
are earth colored tweed suits acceptable to own. because i think they look cool for sure, but i'm wondering if its the same kind of cool as a fedora, where they would be cool in their intended setting (back in the 40s) but are just cancer now. (ok because of their popularity among social retards maybe a fedora is a bad example, but you get my point)
like this

undeniably looks cool. but it looks too casual for formal wear and too formal for casual wear

i suppose what i'm trying to say is it looks anachronistic
Unless you're an 80s professor in campus then please don't get that.
it looks like really old 70's carpet to me
they're both quite nice suits but you're going to look like a massive pleb if you're in like high school and turn up in a three piece

wear a grey undershirt. white ones might show through your shirt if it's not really thick. just make sure it's not peaking out at the top, a v-neck or scoop neck will work best.
need some clothes a little on the nice side but that can be worn casually as well... was thinking a black pair of maybe some levis skinny jeans.... and maybe a nice buttoned shirt and some shoes??? any suggestions??

wool is so 2011
If I'm wearing a button down shirt casually, do I button the top button or leave it undone?
if you're in doubt, leave it undone. you can button it, but some people don't like that specific look.

coats with a couple vaguely military things are fine like bombers or some flight jackets etc. but full ones are ehhhh with me. they make me think of dudes trying to dress like video game characters
and military or not, that's just a really ugly jacket.
Maybe I'll play it safe with a parka or padded jacket?

i really like penfield's jackets
http://penfield.com/mens
the ones with the leather yokes, the stapletons, are my fave.
[editline]23rd November 2014[/editline]
http://penfield.com/mens/jackets/w14-mens-stapleton-navy i have this one and it rules
When it comes to military jackets avoid the ones with loads of greeble (unnecessary buttons, patches, sewed on shit, obnoxious pockets etc)
are there any places which aren't in the OP that i should be looking for some clothes at?
been looking around and i just keep seeing a whole lot of shit and not much good. especially with t-shits and jackets but really any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

IM ONE WITH NATURE
i dont have any better shots since i dont have a camera at home (no phone too so cant take a pic myself), it was just a coincidence that my friend took pictures and all the day i wore it, this was on a trip too though so it was to be expected. it certainly got comments, some saying its weird that im wearing fucking flowers, but some complimented it too, so its all cool i guess

some things on there are pretty nice but i live in the us and am not trying to spend $280 on a sweater
[editline]26th November 2014[/editline]
wtf the parkas on that website are over $1000 is that a joke or what
welcome to the insanely expensive world of fashion.
the world of fashion CAN be insanely expensive but you and i both know that's a bit excessive
not really tho. you can find 10k jackets. 1k isn't that bad for a good winter jacket.
i couldnt imagine spending 1k on a winter jacket right now but maybe in 20 years
you can easily find one for under 200 or 100 depending on what you're after
no need to worry about spending 1k on anything
not really tho. you can find 10k jackets. 1k isn't that bad for a good winter jacket.
no
its excessive
just because you can find a 10k jacket doesn't mean that 1k jackets aren't wacko overpriced (unless it's some proprietary techwear shit)
pretty much if it's over $200 you're paying for the brand
nah.
