What exactly is wrong with cuffing your pants?
nothing's wrong with cuffing your pants, rusty's just a spaz about certain styles of dress sometimes

i'm a bit wary of dropping $30 on a hat but seeing as how that's on the low-end for most 5-panels/camp caps and considering this one looks so damn good, i think i might go for it
I'm not much of a hat person but I say get this one
I normally wear skinny ties, blazers, cardigans and that sort of thing. Kind of an Ivy League/Preppy style, with a hint of smart casual. I dress in the style of J. Crew or Banana Republic (though their actual clothes are too expensive for me.)
Am I allowed to wear a bowtie, or would I look like a fool?
Well they're obviously not inherently bad but you risk looking very tryhard with one, especially if you look closer to 20 than 30, say. Some stuff just requires a certain presence that comes with looking more man than boy.
That's always been my problem with Rammaster's style, for example; he always used to look rather ridiculous in the more formal attire he chose (with a variety of bow ties on hand). The more recent stuff he's posted in more age appropriate clothing, he looks great, a hundred times better. I thought it was all the weight he lost, but he posted one which was a throwback to his blazers and bowties and it was as hilarious as ever. Beware :v:

someone might think it's stupid so don't do it!!1
it serves no purpose - and while i realise fashion is inherently about the aesthetic and not the function, most aesthetically fashionable things have functional origins, be it no longer applicable or repurposed. i also believe in a happy middle ground between looking nice and being functional. things should have a reason, you know? other than 'just because'. 'cuffing' pants looks stupid and serves no purpose except maybe to make your ankles cold? functional fashion also just makes life easier, and why wouldn't you want that? i will never understand why some women persist in wearing high heels that only cause them pain. high heels don't look nice enough to warrant that anyway. fuck high heels.
but then again, i also hate shorts on men too. nobody wants to see knobbly man knees and hairy legs. put those away. cover your legs. i realise i'm in a minority but at least i have reasons.

there is a good solution to this and it's buy better fitting pants

cuffed pants are just as functional as non-cuffed pants.
funny you're talking about functionality in fashion and then say you shouldn't wear shorts.
I like cuffing pants because it gives a nice break in between the shoe and pants and stops pants from puddling up in the bottom, which can be solved with proper pant length. The contrast of the cuff is pretty nice too. But most of these are aesthetic reasons.

haha, that's because I usually just post my formal stuff on here. my style has diversified tho, and I'm honestly getting tired of bowties but blazers are still pretty awesome. Or maybe get some new bowties or something.
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
Like I guess an example of diversified is I got these shoes recently. I love these. They look kinda like from Back to the Future II, and I was thinking of wearing an outfit inspired with Marty McFly wore. I just need some lighter washed denim since the jeans I have are a bit too dark.

i cuffed those pants because they are cut long, in doc's they are ok but in toms the hem gets trodden on, my ankle doesnt show when stood, my legs are hairy and have some noticable scars so i dont like showing them, only time i wear shorts is on my bike and thats sexy as fuck lycra
I'm not much of a hat person but I say get this one
i can't decide between that one and this one:

it's $4 more, but it's also quite a bit more versatile, and i really like the texture
r my pants sexyy?

I think I posted a while back about needing a hat. These are what I like, but I don't know anything.

Lets not forget that you're insane
If a poll were taken by many australian residents on that subject you would lose by a landslide
