£30 for a haircut? Jesus christ [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] Nah I get it done by a gay guy which almost guarantees quality. Seriously I go to the best place in my town and I even find that price to be too much. All I get is the back and sides shaved and a quick trim on the top, so I'm assuming that everybody here has awkward cuts or just lives in city centres or something.
Can I ask where you live?
Can I ask where you live?
I live about half way between Stoke-on-Trent and Warrington. So North West, Cheshire area. I don't live in a city but it's not an insignificant little village either. It costs me about £9 for a haircut, more awkward cuts are somewhere around £13-15 and coupled with beard grooming it's more like £17. It's a "designer" salon too. I'm getting it cut this week so I'll post a picture if need be to prove that it's not been cut by a half blind man with parkinsons :v:
Around here you can get a decent haircut for 10 dollars

I can't find anything below £16, and even at £16 it's a footy barber where they do simple cuts.

costs me $20-$25 for a cut it adds up considering i have thick hair that grows very quickly
Whereabouts do you live?
Near the town of Oxted, South of London.
that's not me, ahah, it's some instagram guy called Brandon Sales who always dresses horribly.
"when fashion is ashes, then you have my permission to die"

So I cut my own hair, it looks pretty good except that I fucked up near the ear, I'll learn from my mistakes though.
No offense but looks like shit, somebody stoled my great grandma's drapes and made a hat out of it. Anyways do anybody know where i can find nike rosches run team red in size 11?
i actually think the hat looks quite nice [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] i was going to spend some money on clothes but i ended spending 250 dollars on a full movie accurate replica slytherin uniform so now i have no money to spend on clothes.
My haircuts usually cost 9€. Its just getting the sides and back shaved and a trip upstairs. But Im needing a haircut soon, and I thought I would let it grow a bit more and try this barber school near my university. A couple of friends there got their hair cut for 5€, and once one of them didn't even pay anything AND got a box of chocolates after (since they use you as a hair model in a class). Its cool because they have to get your cut right. Problem is theyre the ones deciding what cut youre gonna get, and it takes like 2 hours or so
The average in the salons I've seen is about £50
jesus mako where the hell are you going for your haircuts, that's way expensive i just got a fuckin great haircut for like $12
I've never went to a salon, at least not if you're talking about the fancy ones there's a lot of people that, as long as they know you and what you want, can give you a really good haircut for the price of a 'simple' one
jesus mako where the hell are you going for your haircuts, that's way expensive i just got a fuckin great haircut for like $12
I don't go to these places, I blag my sister into cutting my hair for free :v: but that's what you'd expect to pay in salons around here, my girlfriend's last haircut set her back $95AUD which is like £55-60
Yeah, 'round here, it is $30 - $40, Is everything more expensive in Australia?
Not everything, I think it's pretty average for the most part here (and aus came off lightly through the recession too) Some things are ridiculous though, games for consoles for example start at $100+, glad I'm not part of that market And fashion-wise, buying online is pretty brutal here because of shipping. Also just because I live in the city most outlets for anything will be geared toward tourists (so high prices).

What are some decent hairstyles and how would I ask for them??
£5 hair cut bargain
What are some decent hairstyles and how would I ask for them??
Depends on your hair color, what you wear and how you look.
What are some decent hairstyles and how would I ask for them??
well you can go for a hitler youth haircut or get it short on the sides with hair on top there are so many options
What are some decent hairstyles and how would I ask for them??
Bring a photograph
What are some decent hairstyles and how would I ask for them??
Was actually going to ask the same thing. I've had long hair for as long as I can remember and it's also curly and a lot of the time looks p terrible. I was going to ask if anyone could suggest some decent short hairstyles but also figured it'd be stupid since I'm not going to give a picture of myself. Just any suggestions would be cool I guess.

Just any suggestions would be cool I guess.
What hairstyle will look good on you depends on a few things, and it's very difficult to know without a picture. Primarily face shape, hair line and hair type like straight or curly etc, so find out what your head of hair is like and do some research. There are a load of websites which will tell you these things and suggest to you a hair style based on them. Also what I did is I found a celebrity whose hair is similar to mine (turns out me and Robert Kennedy share the same unfortunate hair line, with a bit of Ewan McGregor thrown in) and then found a hairstyle they had that I liked. Actors are good since they change it up a lot, but it's important remember that they can do more or less anything with their hair and still look good. Following that, the best thing I found is to take a photo of a haircut you like into the barbers and just say I want something like that but I don't know what it's called. And if you aren't sure about it, ask them if they think it'd look good. You might feel a bit silly at first but a picture gives a clear target to aim for, rather than a bungled description of something they have to interpret, and you can even ask them what they would have to ask for to get that look so you know next time. Failing all of that, just jump in with a short back and sides, but longer on the top. It's basically THE standard man haircut.
