so i went looking around in the men's section of my local forever 21, and i learned that apparently i can pull off camouflage parkas moderately well, considering my typical color scheme
i dunno if i wanna actually buy a camo jacket there though
I personally will wear things that are OD green, but camo? That is something I stay away from.
before & after pix plz
I've got a decent before pic (much better than the last one I posted) and only about an hour until the haircut.
rusty wears extremely generic clothes and alec is not wearing weird clothes in any way.
eh
you don't dress badly, everything fits very well etc. but that shit is pretty generic.
rusty
it seems you have improved
but seriously, get rid of the converse. i hate them. hate them.

that big white rubber shit on the front.
eugh
i think rusty is very beautiful
Looking for brown oxfords "for work." These aren't strictly speaking dress shoes but I'm not too concerned with that, rather I'd like to know which pair you more well dressed folk think are more versatile, if you don't mind.
Agree

I like the dark ones more but I don't know if they're too close to black.

ive always been the same though i just wear graphic tees too because theyre easy, look fine if the graphic is nice, and good for casual wear. i dont wanna be wearing buttoned shirts and chinos every day, but they are a nice thing to wear. ill always be a fan of jeans and a tee, they are comfortable, basic, and work fine. im not saying you shouldnt branch out, but they're a good fallback or default. as long as their not kmart dad jeans and a wordy hollister tee or some shit
generic or not, it looks better than most of the stuff posted here
that and i dont like wearing expensive clothes too often because i dont want them to wear out so fast. if i put on all my nice things im walking around in like a over half a grand of clothes so what happens if i fall or something?? jeans and tee is good street wear

i stand firmly by you don't need to look outrageous to look nice. i wouldn't get a two toned shirt or something but i would get a nice chambray. i wouldn't get some purple chinos but i would get a nice sand or other earthy toned pair. i just feel like theres no need to be so out there, most of the time people will just look at you and go 'ugh hipster' or 'attention seeker', wheras if you are a bit plainer but still nice lookin stuff, you may not get looks in the street but when somebody does notice you itll probably be positive.
blend in, but look nice!

My oxfords are the color of the first ones and I feel that they add more personality to an outfit because of it. The dark brown ones are nice, but if I want a dark shoe, I go for black.
Just remember to get a matching belt!

What's wrong with generic? I dress almost the same as Rusty, it seems, and I don't get any adverse reactions at all - You're the first person I've seen to complain an outfit to be too generic. What did you expect? Flares? A fedora?
Thanks for the belt bit, Grasp!

I don't think he's complaining. It was in response to someone else saying further up that Rusty wears whatever crazy shit and still looks good.

i don't think rusty is dressing badly (except the converse, why the fuck do people like those shoes?) but the way he dresses can't be characterized as "dumb" or whatever. it's just generic. doesn't stand out in any way.
Rusty please tell me the secrets of your perfect hair
don't wash it. it's literally gonna smell like shit but it'll look nice after a couple of weeks.

great, because i'm not trying to stand out
with shampoo i mean
rusty is correct.
generally speaking i don't aim to stick out with how i dress (except for grandpa pic it was 4th of july and red white and blue) but i do aim to look presentable.
I usually wear a shirt, jeans and vans going outside and I look pretty good without attracting too much attention.
but in the end you dress for yourself so whatever i guess
Rusty please tell me the secrets of your perfect hair
eh its not that nice. if i combed my fringe down it would almost look like a bowl cut. just part it and brush it to the side and back. it's too long atm but i'm travelling the states and haven't had a chance/found somewhere that looks ok to get a haircut (in harlem atm and all there is are black barbershops)
also i would normally recommend not using shampoo or anything when you wash your hair but since i am living in close proximity with people i've been shampooing it just because it will start to smell weird if you get up close to it by the end of the day, i mean you could use some kind of spray shampoo or cologne on it though. BUT not using shampoo will keep your hair much healthier (and will probably last a lot longer too) and it will also make it mold into shapes easier without using product (i dont) because shampoo can make it too floppy and light. but like i said, i don't know if it's universal, but by the end of the day mine will definitely have a 'hair' smell, but only when you're up close. so if you want do treat your hair better by not washing it, maybe find something to make it smell nice as a substitute to shampoo. it's by no means dirty or greasy (it might be for the first few weeks though, it needs to re balance it's oil production), it will just carry your musk because you're not fucking it with chemicals every day.
So I cut my hair and it is the best decision I have ever made

Balmain biker jeans go for like $1,000+ retail. Try ebay or something for a lower price

Kinda iffy about how they look though

Still pretty bad imo...

went to the stussy store in seattle, got myself a bangin windbraker
the way the windbreaker's sleeves flare out and your jeans taper creates a really awkward silhouette imo
