A good part of the clothes you post/suggest to other people are very, very difficult to pull off or just outright terrible looking/not fashionable at all. They're as easy to pull off as a fedora, which is near-impossible
That makes almost zero sense because you can never ever pull off a fedora
That makes almost zero sense because you can never ever pull off a fedora
Saw a 70 year old guy wearing a well-tailored suit and fedora a few days ago He pulled it off pretty well This is what near-impossible means
o·pin·ion uh-pin-yuhn noun 1. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty. 2. a personal view, attitude, or appraisal
Since you guys were talking about watches earlier, here's mine. I got it from Macy's for like 50 bucks like two years ago. Now I'm wondering if it looks good or bad since I'm not really much one for leather straps. Also the watch looks bigger than it is [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/51054650/watch.jpg[/t]
That looks okay to me.
I really like that jacket. Does anyone know where I can get one like that?
It's a biker jacket, look at local leather warehouses or biker stores, they have tons like that :)
I'm saying that the way this thread works is that most everyone here has one type of way they dress. If anyone dresses different then them then they pressure and harass the person into looking like them. This thread has nothing to do with fashion. [editline]4th August 2013[/editline] which you can tell by all the fits i post?
If I had a penny for every muppet whose style is universally panned who then tries to label the entire thread as one sentient opinion How insecure do you have to be
This thread has nothing to do with fashion.
If this is actually what you think, why are you in here seriously, why?
Lurker here. I just hopped in to say this is my favourite thread for following arguments. Some good lines you throw around here sometimes!
Should I cut my hair and beard ):?
Long answer: Yes Short answer: Yes
Brandbosa carries them, but the fucking pricks don't ship outside of Nordic Europe. http://www.brandosa.co.uk/senator/4323735-01-black/a74523 If anyone from Norway, Denmark, Finland or Sweden would proxy them for us that want them, I'm sure we can work out a payment via paypal or something. I'll gladly cover the shoes, shipping and some profit your way for being a bro/sis.
An ex of mine is Swedish and living back there now, might be able to get her to do this if you REALLY want them [editline]5th August 2013[/editline]
Should I cut my hair and beard ):? But the beard looks a bit shit
I just got some new shoes to replace my battered oxfords and penny loafers. G.H. Bass was having a buy one, get two free deal and I just had to jump on it. They had camo loafers there haha but I digressed in buying it as I feel like it's too novel/too next level for me. I just got these instead. I can't find a pic of the third one, but it's just the loafers but black with wool.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/rZ3paBM.jpg[/t] one step closer i guess, eh...
ya gotta grow out your hair to even out your face ratio like the older pic you posted. plus you should probably have a evenly proportioned diet w/ some more protien to help w/ hair growth
i really really don't think eating extra protein is going to do shit about your genetics.
also a lurker, but how many times will this have to be posted? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZcxXj.jpg[/thumb] ive always been under the impression that fix up look sharp is for cleanliness and goodlookingness, not trying to wear hoodies underneath baggy sweaters. not saying everyone here has it all figured out but if you want a ~spicy~ fashion thread, dont expect a lot of people here to empathize with you. this thread serves quite a different purpose.
also a lurker, but how many times will this have to be posted? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZcxXj.jpg[/thumb] ive always been under the impression that fix up look sharp is for cleanliness and goodlookingness, not trying to wear cheap ass hoodies underneath baggy sweaters. not saying everyone here has it all figured out but if you want a ~spicy~ fashion thread, dont expect a lot of people here to empathize with you. this thread serves quite a different purpose.
i was waiting for someone to do some serous digging, that must have taken forever. yeah, i asked what people thought of sweaters over hoodies, since it was really cold when i posted that, and found it was really effective. I agree, this thread is definitely a "shave and take a bath hippie" thread, and not fashion. Thats exactly what I've been saying. That picture was fitting into this thread, not really fashionable. also, where did you get that my hoodie is "cheap"? How expensive are the hoodies you're buying?
yeah, no shit, that's the point. most people can't afford the high fashion shit so they buy zara, h&m etc.
so are you advocating buying knockoffs and devaluing yourself?
so are you advocating buying knockoffs and devaluing yourself?
let me just quote this and let your words fester for a little bit because i literally can't believe you exist
let me just quote this and let your words fester for a little bit because i literally can't believe you exist
lets be realistic here, everybody can afford a few pieces from a collection but you're not supposed to compose your whole wardrobe out of a whole season by some designer, buying a 400 dollar shirt from YSL would be a way better investment than getting 300 dollars worth of shitty knockoff china made zara
so are you advocating buying knockoffs and devaluing yourself?
Are you one of those people who would buy a real Eames
who said anything about $300 worth of 'knockoffs'
Are you one of those people who would buy a real Eames
no because I would prioritize my spending on clothes rather than furniture you can get some pretty cheap chairs second hand m8
no because I would prioritize my spending on clothes rather than furniture you can get some pretty cheap chairs second hand m8
Its the exact same argument though but somehow you're making it only apply to clothes for no particular reason?
My friend does this "investing" in clothing. He turns a pretty penny on ebay with his bape shoes and supreme jackets. he mostly doesnt wear the stuff, just buys it used and then sells it.
My friend does this "investing" in clothing. He turns a pretty penny on ebay with his bape shoes and supreme jackets.
this also has to do with my point, nobody is going to want to buy a zara item second hand but if you buy legit designer stuff it retains its value, you can even turn a profit sometimes if the piece was sold out in high demand
lets be realistic here, everybody can afford a few pieces from a collection but you're not supposed to compose your whole wardrobe out of a whole season by some designer, buying a 400 dollar shirt from YSL would be a way better investment than getting 300 dollars worth of shitty knockoff china made zara
sorry some of us "poor" underlings dont spend 2,000 greasy sweaty no shower hours on tf2 selling earbuds; so we cant afford overpriced brand name bullshit
sorry some of us "poor" underlings dont spend 2,000 greasy sweaty no shower hours on tf2 selling earbuds; so we cant afford overpriced brand name bullshit
i thought you were joking, but damn, thats a lot of hours

Oop, this debate popped up again. I think we have this conversation in every version of the thread and it's always Lemonator starting it. I can see the merit in buying higher priced items from places like YSL but I feel as though that it's too high fashion for some of us here and for that price it's risky. Maybe if I were a little richer.
