Amber iron rangers
I have a question regarding the use of colour.
I tend to wear mainly grey, white, and black, with any colours being usually in accessories like a necktie or my hoodies (When it fits the situation). How would I go about introducing more colour into my wardrobe properly? I always see coloured clothing and it just looks goofy to me usually. I do have a few button-down shirts with colour too, but I've found a majority of my cloths fit the mostly grey, white, and black side of things. It's just so much easier to match an balance small amounts of colour to me. Plus I think it makes the colour stand out more, it's a small contrast that makes me stand out subtly, where as a lot of colour to me just screams "hey look at my colours, give me attention."
So I bought this beautiful white leather nike golf belt, wore it with some new pants and a little dye got onto the leather. How can I go about cleaning that shit off? Did I just ruin a $50 belt?
a white belt?
i sure as hell hope you were wearing something that actually went with that (very little)

also, it depends on the material

Why not just stay monochrome master race anyway?
Why not just stay monochrome master race anyway?
Because I got a comment today about how I dress from this girl I met at the coffee shop. She said I was cute, well dressed, yet seemed sort of dreary because of the overall lack of colour.
And it got me thinking, I don't usually wear much colour, so I figured I'd see how you guys would do it, because I'd like some variety occasionally with more colour, it'd make me seem less dreary I think.
Alright facepunch fashion people I defer to your better judgement. I need new shoes for the school year and could use some help. I have a uniform that's a white oxford and khaki pants. I like canvas sneakers but really any recommendations would be awesome.

Different coloured pants can help a lot. I normally just go with black jeans but cycling between blue and brown jeans/chinos can really help when you're wearing a monochrome top. (For me if I'm just wearing a black top I'll usually go with brown bottoms, and with white/grey I usually go blue)
Shirts with different coloured details on them also help, pretty much all of my shirts have a coloured/patterned pocket, logo or graphic on them, it's not much but it can really help boost that bit of colour, especially when wearing some different coloured bottoms. I'll also often try to match that bit of colour on my shirt with another piece of clothing, for instance if I'm wearing a black shirt with a red logo I'll often match it with some red shoes, it's a good way of matching clothes without being too obvious (much more subtle than just full red shirt + red shoes)
Patterned button ups are great as well as t-shirts with some sort of pattern on them (Like a blank white shirt with patterned sleeves or a patterned bottom half).
Shoes and hats are great for colour blocking as well. One combo I get a lot of compliments on is a blue/navy jacket, black jeans and red shoes.
Blues in general are quite good for adding colour to your wardrobe as well since they're usually quite easy to match with other colours (Like I said, blue jacket + black jeans, or blue jeans + white shirt, or even just some blue shoes + black jeans + white shirt or something)

Can they be any type of shoes? I'd personally go with some black or navy New Balance or Reeboks, or you could just go full plain jane and get some Vans.
i dont really understand how its that hard to have color. I mean, just buy some colored stuff, this matches that and that matches the other one, and soon enough youll have a wide enough wardrobe.
Start off with some conservative colors, stuff you see other people wear, before you start adventuring into colors youd only pull if you were confident enough. For example, last year I started my wardrobe over. I bought a pair of blue jeans, black jeans and some brown chinos. Thats already enough to make a lot of combos if you buy some good shirts. Later on I bought some red chinos and theyre fucking sexy if you know how to use them. And just a couple of weeks ago I got some neon mint/gray shorts, which I only got because I felt my wardrobe was getting pretty boring.
