Nope still looks dreadful In fact the short sleeves have made it worse because they fit you so poorly
no short sleeves are gonna fit a skinny person though [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] i think you are being a little unrealistic here [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] these particular shirts shrunk in the wash though so the sleeves are pretty short hence i just use them as an undershirt now. but a normal short sleeved henley is fine and i think ur being a little overzealous in your hatred. they arent even anything extreme enough to be offended by. just super normal
I don't know about "commuter chinos" but I do have a few pairs of 511 jeans and I like them a lot. edit: Oh, now I see why you're particular about it, sorry!
They're good but don't plan on using the lock holder, it's not comfortable for a lengthy commute. The way they handle moisture is great.
What do you guys think of the Levis 511 commuter Trousers? [thumb]http://images.asos-media.com/inv/media/7/4/9/3/2193947/image4xxl.jpg[/thumb] I can pick up a couple pairs for $60 a piece.
If you actually commute and live in a place with pretty shit weather then go for them.
If you actually commute and live in a place with pretty shit weather then go for them.
I commute and live in the Pacific Northwest, so I guess they are perfect.
[t]http://fr.ice-watch.com/phototheque/500/large/00W004035A.png[/t] ?
Looks like a rubber mess. Any ice watches are pretty crap.
Nope still looks dreadful In fact the short sleeves have made it worse because they fit you so poorly
It's probably cliched and useless as hell to post a ryan gosling picture in here, but come on. [thumb]http://amanincharge.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/ryan-gosling-henley-t-shirt.jpg[/thumb] they can work.
They're good but don't plan on using the lock holder, it's not comfortable for a lengthy commute. http://www.prettygreen.com/shop/product/ss13-chocolate-flat-seam-casual/ Anywhere which sell pretty much the exact as these but are cheaper? And I'm not bothered about Paisley.
They're [t]http://www.evo.com/imgp/1500/52435.Image.1.jpg[/t] so [t]http://ohalex.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/41hzyb4omcl1.jpg[/t] fucking [t]http://d1iw9tjwuv3wci.cloudfront.net/image/3843/3843718_108_2.jpg[/t] awful
I understand you hate henleys but you don't have to go and grab 3 of the worst examples of people wearing them. They don't pull off henleys at all [editline]24th August 2013[/editline] short sleeve henleys far superior.
If you actually commute and live in a place with pretty shit weather then go for them.
I'm pretty sure the only difference in the commuter jean is the fact it's got a loop for a U lock on the back, so you can carry your Fugeddaboutit lock it style.
I'm pretty sure the only difference in the commuter jean is the fact it's got a loop for a U lock on the back, so you can carry your Fugeddaboutit lock it style.
They're also more resistant to weather and blowouts (I think), and have reflective tape on the cuffs.

Wait let me pinch myself
They're also more resistant to weather and blowouts (I think), and have reflective tape on the cuffs.
Yeah just picked up two pairs, they're built tough as nails. "Water-proof" too.

I have no idea how people look at them and think oh yeah that's just the ticket, I'll wear that Think of it like when people post camo jackets or something and you're like what are you doing that's objectively always bad That's what henleys are to me And they aren't normal in my experience, they haven't been a common item of clothing anywhere I've been/lived, thank christ
I'm pretty skinny and some brands' short sleeves do fit AA springs to mind
i have a bunch of american apparel sleeves and my arms fill out none of them so i dont know what u are talking about [editline]25th August 2013[/editline]
And they aren't normal in my experience, they haven't been a common item of clothing anywhere I've been/lived, thank christ
where do you live?? in melbourne they are pretty dang normal
where do you live?? in melbourne they are pretty dang normal
i see them a lot in Perth too but it's usually unfashionable people with spiked up hair and fluro shorts or greasy nerdes who wear them so w/e
i havent bothered trimming my beard in about 3 weeks im going to shave my head and be ultra hipster
So now that I dropped over $120 on pants, how do I go about washing them? I know for fancy "raw" denim, and shit of that sort there is a certain procedure to maintaining them. I have always had to wash my pants several times a week just because of the lack of clothing I owned. How will I have to change my habits?
Today I went clothes shopping and discovered that Levi's is very confusing in their styles. They had regular 511's that are slim fit, but also had 511's that were labeled skinny fit. They also had 514's that are supposed to be straight fit labeled as slim straight. If you're going to label fits by numbers, then at least stick to your own standards. Also, I apparently went from 33x30 to 31x30, so that's cool.

They're definitely going to smell from biking in them, a problem that not washing your jeans doesn't help with. Their meds aren't so good, but the smalls run long so I find they fit great
i think the culture is fine and this is just like people believing that chucks are only for emo teens, its just flat out wrong and they ARE fashionable (and look good)
objectively wrong educate urself
the difference is chucks can be pulled off (occasionally) where-as henley's are bad p. much 100% of the time [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] they're both similar in the fact that there's so many better things you could wear instead of them
nah i think theyre great undershirts. i am wearing one in that picture of the western shirt, you can see it and it looks fine [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] maybe certain places have had certain pieces of clothing taken over by a terrible subculture wheras other places haven't and thus don't have any negative associations with them, because i have literally never seen a henley on someone terrible and mainly just see handsomes and ryan gosling wear them
i have a short sleeve henley i think they're v cool of course some are shit but i think that its biased as fuck to say they're all shitty
objectively wrong educate urself
this is quite off topic, but i think its funny how groups of facepunchers coincidentally and trendily but ultimately incorrectly use words and sayings like this when making arguments. this is the third time i've seen someone pull the objectivity card in the last couple of days when the subject is clearly open to opinion. before that i saw several people say "facepunch isn't a hivemind blah blah" after getting butthurt by someone making a generalization about facepunch users, and before that i invariably saw a post referring to that bullshit law of headlines in every SH thread ending with a question mark. anyway, in regards to henleys: i just posted a picture of a guy pulling off a henley and even if you cover up ryan gosling's face it still looks good. if you can simultaneously bear that in mind, look past any personal distaste for people who traditionally wear the shirts, and honestly proclaim that they look bad then i guess you probably have puffy nipples.
