Err, yeah. Being dead is cool guys, trust me.
Only your body dies. Your mind does not because it is energy. The law of conservations of energy says that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. Your mind is only transferred to the next stage.
The impulses traveling through your synapses will stop and your brain will shut down for good. You no longer receive sensory input from any of your organs, such as your eyes, ears or skin. You won't be able to refect on your situation since your brain no longer alows any form of thought. There will be no memories, since you are unable to access them and no time since you can't percieve any.
Your personality, character, memories, everything will be lost. The little window through wich you viewed the world is blocked and everything ends. So, really, after death, there will be litterally nothing. It's not really that hard to imagine. Everything we are is our cranial function. Shut it off and there is nothing. The kind of nothingness that is equally impossible for us to comprehend as, say infinity.
You are a very fragile lump of gray matter and you are fitted to move, learn, comprehend and interact with the world around you. Now do something with it before you malfunction.
If you can't imagine that, figure this: Remember that time when you weren't born yet? No? Because Once you're dead it will be just like that.
