• What's the point in life for you? (Or just an excuse to tell my story)

There has to be a point in life. That's why we have our eyes in front of us. So we can see the horizon, to achieve our goals and desires. We don't have them at the back, or all we will ever see is your home town moving further away from you; people can't move on like that. That's why our eyes are at the front - to see the distance close on what we desire. That's what lets people move forward.
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women. EDIT: It should also be noted that there is no "point" to life because time is made of circles and circles don't have points.
Come on, time is obviously a cube. I believe that there is a point to life, even if some people don't see it. It's all just a matter of perspective.
I was under the impression that eyes developed to help animals spot food and predators.
I guess I was a little symbolical. Just like the point of life, everything is a matter of perspective.
The point in life to make generation upon generations of your family line exist throughout history to improve upon the greatness of your line making the world a better place. Having children to pass down your wisdom so that mistakes are not repeated and continue in your legacy. Saying that there is no point in life is giving up with your future. I live to make life better for others so that it will be better for all. I want to make this world better before I depart from it, for one person or for thousands. That is my main goal in life.
I guess I was a little symbolical. Just like the point of life, everything is a matter of perspective.
Unless you believe life was designed with some sort of end goal, there is no meaning to it, it's just something that happened.
I have a nephew and I love him a lot and want to see him grow up. I'm looking forward to having a kid.
And facepunch seems to be such a lovely place full of compassionate folks.
This is a joke right? I do not understand this sentence. These words do not mean anything to me. I am scared. In all seriousness, Life, dear OP, is what we make of it. Life has no inherit "point". We are all in here for the long journey and we are all going to end up dead at the end sooner or later. That does not mean it's hopeless and we should just give up. We just need to set our goals and keep on setting more. We don't need an overarching goal to achieve in life, just live in the moment, day to day.
Well so far I managed to pull a 3 year troll on my classmates. Acting a way I'm not in any way and so giving them a wrong opinion of me. It's my goal to also keep this up for my 4th year until I pass my exams. After that I'll break contact with them all. After that I'll finally change my surname which I still have to do since I'm the only one left in my family with my real dads surname lol. Why? Because it's possible, thats why. So yeah, thats my point in life for now.
Unless you believe life was designed with some sort of end goal, there is no meaning to it, it's just something that happened.
Life is something that just happened. All the said conditions were just right, the position of the sun, the moon, Earth, the Big Bang, etc. If such given conditions were not set, would life exist?
Life is something that just happened. Who knows man, who knows
Maybe it would, but not the life as we know it now. Who knows man, who knows
Perhaps life as it is won't, but a different form may. My point being, in this coming of age in society, life will always go on as it always have. Even if we fight it, guns blazing, guitars screeching, everything around us erupting and exploding, it doesn't matter in the end to the wider world. Life is not affected - it is us who are. Not so much what we do that affect others, but mostly what do we do that affect ourselves.

You can think of life as a video game with only one life, where you are not god or some over-powered guy who has super powers. You are just you, doing what you do as you live

No one is going to live forever, and we don't actually know if there is an afterlife or if you are reborn. So make the most of it by being there to make others feel better, to live happy yourself and hopefully you might even end up leaving such an impression on the human race that you are known in history as well.

The point in life to make generation upon generations of your family line exist throughout history to improve upon the greatness of your line making the world a better place. well you know making people happy is probably the only thing that'll make you happy I mean wealth doesn't help because literally everyone you know could abruptly just be trying to get some of it, beauty makes you question whether the people you know are helping you because you're a cool guy or just because you're prettier than they are, power makes lives mean less and, silly as it sounds, actually does corrupt, and intelligence makes everyone around you an idiot and has a fifty-fifty chance of carrying a healthy dose of crazy along with it. So the point in life for me I guess would be the pursuit of happiness, and I get happiness from helping other people. Why? Because it helps me forget my problems, not to say that I have many other than the normal existential terror most people do. I think just that wave of tranquility is enough to convince me it's the closest thing to a renewable source of happiness I'll ever find.
You will find another OP there always is, I expect your a teenager as well, every other teenager goes through a similar drama, nothing worth get caught up over, you just have to bite down and keep on trucking, move on with time, theres your first and second love but its the one you've yet to meet, you will meet her again in years to come, but things will have changed, maybe you will hit each other up again, things like this have a funny way of circling around.
Don't have kids. Put future generations out of their misery because it ain't worth playing.
There is no point, the fact that we even exist is just luck.

My story: Going on from day to day, trying to stay happy within the journey of life. Met that special someone, someone that I would like to grow old with and share life with. But she said that she doesn't like the idea of dating her friends. So what's up with my life now? Live like I used to but still trying to, well I guess the correct term would be manipulate, her into abandoning the notion of us just staying as friends only.
No stories here. The point of life is to live comfortably and do something you enjoy. I don't see what else there could be.
The point of life is subjective to each one of us. What are your greatest goals? What is it that you really want to do before you pass on? That's your personal point to life; to achieve those seemingly unreachable goals. The best thing to do is at least have some idea of what you really want out of life and just do it; hesitation is only a waste of precious time. Since everyone is sharing their stories I'll share mine: Around May of last year I was living an ordinary American living-at-home college student life. I woke up, hung about until work, then went to my evening classes at school; rinse and repeat. I spent most of my time checking out people's groceries and spending time with friends. Already I had a wonderful life and never wanted anything more or less. (Aside from my future of course) Then one day I was shaken awake by my mum, at first I was worried because I thought something terrible had happened. Once I fully woke from my daze my mum told me that my dad was offered a job overseas here in Crete, Greece; I was quite befuddled to say the least. Our family talked about it for a few days and my dad accepted the job. For a while it did sort of hurt knowing I'd be leaving everything behind for two years, but at the same time I also realized that two years will go by quick. Needless to say, here I am eight months here on Crete living an amazing life while attending school for Information Technology and I get to travel the world. People who don't follow their dreams or work to accomplish goals might easily find themselves on their deathbed thinking, "Why couldn't I have just done more?"
The point of your life is chosen by you and your actions.
