My goal is to leave my abusive household and move in with my best friend. If that happens, I will die happy.
Some individual desires don't get us anywhere as human beings we know that human desiration rather than individual desiration has more point to our lives than a notion thats defined by egoism and self-regard. We know the kinda crap that people indulge themselves in and critize methods of obtaining desire by men who are only suceeding in their subjective desire, like there is such a thing as morals when it comes to being concerned about one-self. Most of our problems today are in essence, indulgencess and result of other peoples oppressive desires and convenient situation. It's a badly thought concept where your desire may as well just get in the way of mine.
The point in life for me is to feel that I changed something in this world. I want to feel that I am successful, and happy.
As someone else posted, in the grand scheme of things, life is unimportant. We live because our survival complex tells us to, nothing more. Sure, the little things in life, emotions, achievements, failures, all those things are motivation for us to wake up in the morning and continue on with our meaningless existence; in the end, the only thing that truly matters is your mindset and ability to strive to accomplish as much as you can before you perish. Will you care once you're dead? Nope, so you might as well care now.
I've discovered that my point in life is to help people how I can. it's what I do and what I enjoy.
my goal in life is to sit in this chair playing on the computer until I die, apperently, because no matter what I do it's where I always end up. [editline]wtf[/editline] Who rated this winner? I hate my life! I'm not "WINNING!" :effort:
I've spent my whole life tumbling around the southern United States. My goal right now is to break my family's streak of being poor so I can help them out. Also, go away pessimistic people, the thread isn't about how there is no point in life, its about your point in life. If you honestly believe you're pointless then go on ahead, but if you find a reason to live other than basic survival instincts I'm pretty sure it can be said you have a point in life.If you break it down the point of life is just to reproduce like everything else, but given that we have the ability to think, everyone can have their own expectations of ourselves to live up to.
I'm content doing what I enjoy, i'd like to create things that other people enjoy as well as that would make me happy. I just want to have a house, smoke drugs, play video games and have a companion, that's all I really need.

The universe, life in general is terrible and horrific. Everything that arises within it is destroyed even instantly or very shortly destroyed, at least changed beyond recognition and thats what we are looking at here there is nothing to be optimistic about. That's just fabricating the truth of what life is. In a way, if we didn't have these problematic distractions where by you keep yourself from being bothered in life, there would be right mind to scream at the idea of being dragged through a system where by we are helpless and inevitably dying (at the expense of no point). To say it's not there for us to see, that we would rather openly accept avoiding it and chase pink baloons instead, is the reason why we won't get as far as contemplating it. I think thats what us as intelligent beings goal needs to be. The best practical excuse for being intelligent is figuring out how to do something to satisfy and comfort the inflicted. Also it's only stupid people who glorifying natures insentive to keep the sufferage going. Us reproducing is a tendency of nature but its just desire built on human culture. Hormones are built in to the brain and you have sex because you crave for it. That is all. You don't reproduce because there is hormonal drive in giving birth or males are sexually charged towards new borns for there to be any reason to have kids.
