The drawing style is fucking awful and the storyline is meh.
Miyazaki's stuff is what makes anime what it is and what everyone should strive for. There are also a few others like The girl who leaps through time and I pity you for not watching any of those.
They're brilliant in every single way possible.
No they don't, idiot
It's you Binary? Wow, talk about contradicting much.
I think he started fading away at the 5th page.

Can't think of a proper reply?

This is not a good thing.

Unfortunately someone will always find a way to nitpick at them.
This is not a good thing.
Told ya, even though he didn't explain even though he has a hard on for explanations.
I think he started fading away at the 5th page.
What? I've been here the entire time.
This is not a good thing.
Hurr you're so funny and witty man I wish I was like you.
Also, the anime people have mentioned is NOT AIMED at kids.
So why'd they mention it? :|
Those are hardly reasons, and I really doubt that one doesn't fit into my points.
Well okay, I'll give you "fucking incredible" not being a reason, but parody exists to poke at obvious flaws of a genre. When you understand the joke, you laugh. Unfortunately, you have no soul so you don't understand that.
Anyways, let's go into how Speed Racer doesn't fit your points. Reading from top to bottom, hair seems very controlled, what with almost every character having a helmet on most of the time. Otherwise it's pretty normal hair, unless parts are fucking magic now. From the idea of racism, I'd say that the Japanese are really only being racist to other Japanese and asians. I don't think there are any black people either, but how would a child care about that? Would they sit in front of the TV with a clipboard and start checking off the ethnicities they see in order to make sure it's a politically correct show? Hell naw. They don't care. Also I don't think any characters on the show have breasts other than Pops Racer (zing.) The show goes so far to keep any sexual tension out of it. Trixie's also pretty modest, and everyone is fully clothed at every moment. And as for unrealistic expectations, don't expect to race around a track knocking people off left and right with huge explosions in the background, but you can easily expect to keep up with the body types of the main cast. And also hitting people once won't knock them out.
As my rebuttal, what do you recommend your son watches?
So why'd they mention it? :|
Because you are saying ALL anime is bad.
The drawing style is fucking awful and the storyline is meh.

I liked stretched proportions style in Code Geass but i agree, story was pretty meh. There we're lots of "Mastermind" stuff in it thou, Code Geass is a more casual version of Death Note.
The girl who leapt through time is awesome btw.
Hurr you're so funny and witty man I wish I was like you.
You're the one who said it.
Unfortunately someone will always find a way to nitpick at them.

People hate them because whenever someone mentions the word anime they are automatically repulsed.

I don't think you understand my problems with the racism in anime, if he understood it it'd be great, but he doesn't so he may think that all stereotypes are correct. Kids are stupid, you should know this.
OP, ever heard of opinions?
John-Fu, who are you and why should I give a rat's ass that you don't like something?
People hate them because whenever someone mentions the word anime they are automatically repulsed.
Sadly, it's the truth. :sigh:
I don't think you understand my problems with the racism in anime, if he understood it it'd be great, but he doesn't so he may think that all stereotypes are correct. Kids are stupid, you should know this.
Then it's your fucking job to make him understand it.
Can't think of a proper reply?
Got me there. Anything i could say would be too obvious. It's like trying to tell a lion that eating zebras is bad.
OP, ever heard of opinions?
Yeah, apparently expressing them makes you a troll.
So why'd they mention it? :|
It's examples of anime that in general is appreciated by people with a genuine, healthy interest and experience with the genre. I doubt there is any kids anime here that fits into that group. Besides, we're not the target audience for kids shows (most of us :P).

WHAM! I've specified an average read time of four minutes for the whole passage. You read it in one. Go back and read it again and stop TL;DRing my posts.
Yeah, apparently expressing them makes you a troll.
It's ironic because whenever someone expresses an opinion towards you, you call them out for being a troll.
John-Fu, who are you and why should I give a rat's ass that you don't like something?
You don't, it was your choice to read the thread and post here.
Yeah, apparently expressing them makes you a troll.
If they're wrong then yes.
IN MY OPINION THE EARTH IS FLAT GUISE WHO ARE YOU TO SAY OTHERWISE.
Good lord, just please close this thread, it's making my brain rot from all of this stupidity (OP's).
If you don't like it, don't watch it. If your child likes it, let him watch it. Any child will understand, that things portrayed there are not real, and probably never will be. I grew up with DBZ, but I could tell that it's not real, I wasn't a freaking retard.
And be more tolerant, for christ sake.
This man is correct. I used to be an innocent child who loved cartoons like Spongebob, Catdog, Rugrats, Johnny Bravo, and Dexter's Lab. They taught me good morals and I was kept far from the evils of today's society. But that all changed in one night. A friend recommended me a japanese animated show called Pokemon. I was intrigued. But then my innocent eyes were raped from the moment of watching it.

This character seems innocent. BUT LOOK CLOSER!!!

I have never seen anything like this before in my childhood life. I was overcome with fear and pleasure. It may not seem like much but this is the sole reason why I am now a pedophile. I am now in jail for the rape and murder of 4 young girls. I told the judge that it wasn't my fault. My mind was tortured into submission at youth because of the influence of evil anime shows like Pokemon. Kids, don't watch this kind of stuff. It may ruin your life like it did with mine. Stick to your western animation like the ones I used to watch before I turned into an evil man. Shows that teach you good morals and shows that shelter your mind from the evil world of violence and boobies. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Also you didn't answer my question.
WHAM! I've specified an average read time of four minutes for the whole passage. You read it in one. Go back and read it again and stop TL;DRing my posts.
I read it in 1 minute.
