Go the the art section. Daijitsu is one hell of a mod.
I think the admins do a good job.
I was like that when I was browsing FP and I hadn't made an account yet. Then I figured that I'd just make posts pertaining to the topic and it wouldn't matter since a lot of the bans made are short. Plus, I type like this, always have. :)
Those were the days. Stricter moderation and the smartness/instaban system really kept people in line, there was far less shitposting than there is now, and the standard of speeling and grammer was generally much better.
Facepunch taught me correct grammar when smartness still existed. :v: Before i found facepunch, I wrote really shitty.
I generally rate banned people funny.
I'm afraid I love the admins. [editline]03:08PM[/editline] Well, most of them. [editline]03:09PM[/editline] Like Gurant.
It just annoys me when mods post things that are missing capital letters, or misspell things... I'm like, "what are you doing? You're supposed to be setting an example! :gonk:"
Just use common sense before you post. It's pretty obvious what gets banned, so simply don't post that stuff.
I've been banned a few times for posting in wrong section last time it was posting how to derma in lua, my friend even got perm banned for same thing (User was banned for this post ("Stupid bump" - Swebonny))
who knows if you'll get banned again for grave digging
I don't see what's so difficult about not making bannable posts, almost all my bans were justified and the one that wasn't I'm not willing to argue about [editline]29th May 2012[/editline] though apparently it's really hard not to necro threads from 2010
It's funny that you call it strict; nowadays the mods seem pretty lax to me. As long as you don't outwardly flame, spam or anything you can pretty much post whatever. Be prepared for boxes, though. [editline]29th May 2012[/editline] god damn it I didn't look at the thread date
though apparently it's really hard not to necro threads from 2010
pfft once in 2010 I accidentally (or maybe purposely) bumped a thread from 2004.
mods are pretty laid back but sometimes they do weird dumb things.
Facepunch is somewhere between North Korea's and China's level of fascism.
Facepunch was somewhere between North Korea's and China's level of fascism.
FTFY
FTFY
Nope. Still is.
I wonder how much the attitude towards our mods have changed in the 2 years since this thread was made More/less respect? With all our departures and additions since then, how does the new team hold up to the old one?
seriously
For some time ago posting nude pictures was banable. Now I see it everywhere and people haven't got banned. These rule switching makes me scared
For some time ago posting nude pictures was banable. Now I see it everywhere and people haven't got banned. These rule switching makes me scared
only of guys cause gross
only of guys cause gross
Even though there are more gays on this site than all of San Francisco.
I'll ban you all [editline]29th May 2012[/editline] i'm kidding you guys are alright
The mods here are some of the best I've seen, though sometimes they confuse me. I notice that sometimes people post reaction images/gifs in threads and on rare occasions the mods let it slide. Never understood why.
Personally, I liked the smartness system. With some more refining, it could be a good thing.
Mods are pretty chill people.
You'll never get banned for a complete opposite set of beliefs to anyone, I am living proof of it. Trolling and general ass dickery will get you banned once caught, as common sense would tell.
I remember getting banned twice for my first post which was also my first thread I hadn't lurked at all and had no clue how to act You know something's wrong when you're socially awkward... on the internet
You'll never get banned for a complete opposite set of beliefs to anyone, I am living proof of it. Common sense is just sense these days, it's no longer common.
