CSI: Miami is terrible, it's parody of itself. Psych is really good, though.
Castle is really good.
Justified is one of the best T.V. shows.
Sherlock Holmes is good.
Wrong country. We're lucky in England, the terrestrial channels have a very high quality of broadcasting (except for big brother and hollyoaks) so there's never a lot of clashing genre's. But when you get past them to the sky channels a LOT of channels we get in England just have copied American cop shows that are good on their own but seeing 5 channels with the same show on at the same time is a little OTT. But I usually stick with Comedy Central. Can't beat a bit of Frasier in the afternoons :smug:
What happened to the days of new and exiting tv shows! Now it's all reality and crime shows. I miss LOST, Prison break and My Name Is Earl :saddowns:
My Name is Earl :saddowns:
CSI is still my favourite of them all. The original, of course. CSI: Miami is cheesy beyond belief, and CSI: New York is not bad. However, the cast of the original CSI series is still the best.
I agree, where I live we have so many crime shows too. On the same channel they put CSI:Miami and then right after that was CSI:NY ... wtf?? They even made an advertisement glorifying this decision (no kidding). Flip to another channel, hey it's Burn Notice! I forgot the others but I remember always flipping the channel to see a cop show and you can believe that I'm not exagerating. Did all the creators seriously sit there and go "hey let's make another crime show, there's a thousand already but they fuck it huh?"
Burn Notice isn't a cop show.
There's too many? There aren't enough. You can never have too much cop-on-crook action.
NCIS is what old people watch because they just like the background noise [editline]12:43PM[/editline]
Burn Notice isn't a cop show.
wow he said crime. its a spy show and spying is a crime and it deals with crime and the girl is a criminal and michael weston looks like a douche
there's only one good cop show and we all know the theme song to that one BAD BOYS BAD BOYS, WHATCHA GONNA DOOOOO
Rookie blue now.
The police chase videos comeon i probably would drive awesomer if i was being chased..
psych is ancient, it's on like season 5 or 6 i think, and burn notice is also on season 5 any CSI/NCIS or that type of shows that have branched off into different cities are the real ones that bug me.
Hey I like CIS Miami :colbert: Rate me Clocks cus im late
There's no shortage of medical/doctor shows either. I am a big fan of Royal Pains though, not sure why I'm attracted to it. And White Collar is actually worth watching, unlike the rest of the detective/cop shows.
The only medical show I like is House.
Uh, Covert Affairs and Burn Notice are both spy shows, not crime shows. And both of them are fucking great. Psych is literally the funniest series on television along with Community, and destroys almost every other comedy on right now. White Collar is also fucking amazing, how could you ever get bored of it? All USA shows own hard, 4/5 of the ones you said are USA, obviously you haven't been watching any other channels. What bothers me is CSI, NCIS, and Law and Order. Bore my fucking eyes out. The shows you failed to mention are ACTUALLY the boring ones, and the ones you mentioned are the ones with actual character development, not cookie-cutter scripted, and in my opinion genuine quality. You're either really ignorant about quality or you're just trying to get people angry, if it's the latter good job. If it's the former, I feel sorry for you.
"Ahhh he has an opinion that differs from mine he's a troll or an idiot herp derp."
those are the only two options
I had a Deja Vu from reading this thread :byodood:
I miss Beverly Hills Cop and Lethal Weapon, those kind of movies were badass they don't make 'em as they used to :(
The only crime show I can stand is Law and Order and it's offshoot Law and Order: SVU. That's about it though. I specifically like it because it's a mix between the cop part and legal part which keeps it interesting. Edit: Woah this is 3 weeks old.
The SAME exact thing with modern warfare games. Take a load of the list: Call of Duty modern warfare Call of Duty modern warfare 2 Call of Duty black ops Battlefeild 2 Battlefeild bad company Battlefeild bad company 2 Medal of Honor And the list goes on....
To be fair BF2 came out way before all the other ones.
