OP, you sound like a great guy. The way you developed yourself to be able to write English like that, it's amazing. You sure are a smart guy.
With that said, i understand that you don't want to notify the police of what your parents did. It won't benefit you in any way. But, you shouldn't stay with your parents for the next coming years.
you probably already know, but education is one of the biggest keys to be successful in life. You already got from far, don't give up by staying with your parents and ending up just like them.
I know it's easy for me to say, and moving out to get education is very hard. but in the future, you will be proud of what you did while telling your kids.
don't give up!
op can you post a picture of yourself?

I don't plan to give up, by whatever means, I'm going to try my hardest to pursue my dreams whatever they are. After I figure them out. But it's nice to get a little consolation on facepunch, although it doesn't seem like much, it's really really motivated me and helped me.

done
I want you to do this as soon as possible, get skype credits or any way to call anonymously and call social services explain the situation and how you don't want your parents to get into trouble. The worker will do everything he/she can do to make things work out, make a "deal" where you get help without them being charged. If you cannot make a "deal" you will at least get professional advice on what to do.
If you are unsure about the calling anonymously part you can just do the old "it's about my friend" I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they can do anything based on suspicion even though it's obviously not about your "friend".
They have harmed me, but they'll be damned if they'll harm me any more. I am not going to send them to prison for something they did to me in the past. I can't ever forgive them but I'm not going to ruin some ones life just because they ruined mine, I am solving nothing that way.
You won't ruin their lives, they're not going to go to jail for not educating you, you need to explain the situation honestly so you can get help.

Do something on there, this is who I did my A-levels with
But tbh you'd be better going to an actual college, if only to get used to a work environment

can I get the actual gcses and stuff with that or is it just practice though?
It's the real deal
I think if I actually make it through this and actually get somewhere with my life (education, job, college, or maybe even make 1 friend,) the first thing I'll do is come to this thread and tell you all. I really appreciate everything everyone have given me in this thread.
the people in this thread are the some of the only people that have helped me ever.
should I print it out or is there a way to type it in?
All the answers are here, you can do it yourself http://www.st-josephs-pickering.n-yorks.sch.uk/past_test_papers.htm
Given by how you type you should have little to no difficulty in getting your English GCSE, you'd simply have to pay to sit the exam and read up online about it. Maths would probably be a similar story, if you're as clever as you appear you should have no problem. Once you have those, you can apply to and get into college to take up your passion for music and see where it goes from there. You may have to take three other GCSEs just to make it so you have 5 but I'm fairly sure that's not a requirement anymore. Honestly if you're willing to put the time in you could probably have 5 GCSEs by this time next year and be just starting a college course.
Damn this is so surreal, especially since it's on Facepunch. Sorry I can't provide much input right now as I'm not on my computer at the moment but best of luck to you, OP.
Lurklet You really need to contact social services so that they can begin the process of helping you and your parents.
My parents aren't all that bad, really ... well ok they are bad, but, they have money and they pretty much spoil me. They are my best chance at getting into college or anything of the like.
There's nothing they can do at this point that you can't do.
[editline]9th September 2013[/editline]
Although I guess money.
From the academic standpoint you're not quiet as fucked as people in this thread make out, plenty of people with zip all qualifications can still achieve a 'normal' life and some of them can't even read or write, and given the fact that you appear to actually want to put in the time and effort than all is absolutely not lost, there are options available and routes you can take that will get you back into society but you gotta speak to someone in the know.
From a social point of view though, that's where your gonna be at a disadvantage due to your naivety and unfortunately people skills is not something you can study, it 's something you gotta learn by doing I'm afraid.
And just out of curiosity, have you ever done any work on the farm land? assuming it's dairy or livestock ect and you have got some kind of experience then you could possibly ask nearby farmers if they need a hand, even if it's just volunteer unpaid work to start with, just something to get you out and about and experiencing new stuff.

I don't think social stuff would be a problem for long, I might have a little awkwardness at first but I'll just talk to as many people as possible, I'll get used to it. It can't be much harder than talking over a microphone, which I'm used to, thankfully.

Also living on a farm =\= farm work. I just live here.
Tell me more about how did you find facepunch ?

Garry's mod. I have an older account from 2008 but I like this one.
[editline]9th September 2013[/editline]
I'd basically be fucked if I was born any earlier, without a computer and the Internet I'd probably be swinging on trees right now. I'm lucky to be born in this generation.
How are you socially isolated? They don't let you out of the house? Because if you can go to the store, you can at least meet some people there.
if you get your friends from the local store you should rethink your life
if you get your friends from the local store you should rethink your life
I think he meant just to talk to people for a little bit of socialisation, not friends. Anyway, I'm going to try some music festivals and start there.
Well, I think that the best way to help you get through this is to pick up a sport, or some sort of physical activity that you will enjoy. However I recommend that you do it through a program where you can meet other people, that way you are more motivated to do it. Eventually you'll start making friends through the program. After that you can use the social skill you learned from that in your school to make friends there.

Not really a sports fan. Maybe martial arts, that's cool. I really enjoy playing guitar someday's it's all I do. I'd love to meet some other people that played.
[editline]9th September 2013[/editline]
Maybe I don't like sports because I've never tried though.
Although it definitely does not replace a real education, the Internet is a great tool to have. It's like having the entire knowledge of mankind at your fingertips, ready to be discovered. From history to science to math, it's practically the Library of Alexandria of modern times.
[editline]8th September 2013[/editline]
I live in the United States and I got a pretty good education, yet I've still gained a large amount of knowledge from the Internet alone, such as scientific and historical information.
While you find a way to get into school, I'd suggest browsing and reading the Internet's archives. Again, it's not a substitute, but it would definitely benefit your knowledge base.
I'm not sure what else to say but best of luck. I think with your mind you'll be able to conquer your dreams. Remember: life is free.
OP if you ever get good enough with that guitar you could write one hell of an amazing song about your situation...jsyk ;)
btw my mum has worked for both social services and youth offending programs/courts around the UK if you'd like any advice I could get you in contact with her, since she was great at her job and trained for a long time I'm very sure she could help you in some way.
I'm not great at guitar but I'm not that bad. I made these after 6 and 7 months of playing, respectively.
