So,last night I went to Club 33. Shit was soo cash [editline]18th May 2013[/editline] Guest Assistance Passes are proper obnoxious, from a cast member perspective, but I don't see why a guest wouldn't like them. But, just, please, you DON'T have to explain to the fasts cast, emb why you have the card, but get the double arrows somehow, make sure you really convince the guest relations cast member that way. I can't tell you how many times I roll my eyes because people say "ok well I got this because I have anxie" because anxiety is ridiculously specific, and it's never really "line anxiety". I don't know, blood issues, or something. And again, doesn't fucking apply to the cut member fast passes, but for most of WDW and DCA, you need double arrows. [editline]18th May 2013[/editline] Do not complain about the stamp you get, however, the guest relations cast embers WILL NOT help with that as they have already solved your solution as is applicable to your affliction.
what?
hollywood hotel tower of terror
hollywood hotel tower of terror
I got on that thing 2 years ago and remember being scared shitless as I fell and had barely anything to hold on to. I can't remember if I was actually safe or not but regardless I still had a good time. Now that I think of it, Disney World had quite a few good rides. I forgot about that and I take back what I said earlier. Universal is definitely less crowded though.
so how does dlr do the double arrows are you guys jerks about it and make them wait once they get to the boarding area or no
double arrows are not immediate loading anywhere you go. Some places let you through fast pass, some through the exit, but regardless you're still going to have to wait at least a few minutes. But never immediate boarding - you're disabled, not dying this instant, so you can wait just a few minutes. And by that I mean terminally ill people get green light passes where we try to board them right away. Make a wish foundation, cancer patients, things like that. I went to the park on my day off last week alone, and rode Tower of Terror 11 times in a row. I don't feel anything when riding that ride anymore :(
If you roll your eyes at guests I don't see how Disney keeps you on board.
i don't see how people lying about disabilities can live with themselves. even lying about anxiety. it's disgusting.
I don't see how you can tell if a person needs a GAC by looking at them. You sound like quite the asshole.
You can totally tell, are you serious? Someone hands you a gac with a wheelchair stamp and you inform them they cannot immediately enter through fast pass and they give you an obviously phony story coupled with unnecessary attitude, chances are they lied to get that card, and much of the time they end up losing them, as those can be revoked, much like everything at any Disney resort. It's not called being an asshole, it's called having common sense, enough to put two and two together. In fact, guestrelations is working on a much stricter and tougher gac card system simply because its seen so much fraudulism and blatant abuse. That's not me just saying that, I have a lot of friends that have transferred to guest relations all saying the same thing, because most GR cast members came from attractions. And I'm not like this to their faces, this is just me being honest, here. I sugar coat everything I tell guests, you have to. I would know, been with the company for more than two years. How long have you worked for the company, if you don't mind me asking?
You don't question the GAC card. No Questions ask, you don't question it.
And I don't, I never once said I did/do. They often just blurt it out, to which I a,ways just say "unfortunately, we're not supposed to ask because we're not intended to know, but simply provide help according to how the card has been filled out" [editline]19th May 2013[/editline] You can, however, question whether or not the person the card belongs to is present, and it's perfectly acceptable to confiscate cards you suspect to be stolen. Annual pass holders who happen to have GACs just about always have the AP id number written somewhere, once I had a group of teenagers, all male, hand over a double arrow AP card and when I asked them if Michelle was present and if I could see the annual pass, they just said "oh I handed you the wrong one, here's mine" it was actually a males name, for the weekend only, and double arrow so I let them in, confiscated Michelle's pass, called guest relations, they thanked me and told me to give it to my lead as that guest had it replaced earlier that same day. She also said that we have the right to ask to see an annual pass to verify the gac card really does belong to whichever guest handed it over. I've been around the block, I know all about this shit.
How is the Disney College Program? I love the parks and I've been interested in possibly doing it.
How is the Disney College Program? But in general, the people you meet and the time you get to spend in the parks is rather amazing. It's a good chance to get your foot in the door in a lot of places (including Disney itself). I highly recommend it. It's also just a great way to get away from home and enjoy a little bit of your life. I'm not one to party though, and there's a lot of that, but I still find so many fun things to do with friends. So, yeah. Come on down.
college program is great if you're local. or if you can be local, if you know what i mean.

I've heard some pretty bad stories on the party bus. Also the people last year when the F bus used to go to the Marketplace area, and a lot of people using Buffalo Wild Wings as a night club. I stayed as far away from that shit as possible.
I went to the French one. The sun in its a small world looks strange.
I wasn't with this particular group of friends on my trip to Disneyland, but they abused the handicap pass to get places. Don't ask me how, but it's apparently stupidly easy to get the card you need to zoom through the lines, and it bugged me that they did that.
It's easier than getting a medical green card, and those are hilariously easy to get. That's why the system is being reformatted. I have no idea what the hell they're going to do but they could easily ask for proof of disablement in order to get the passes. Or give them their own fast pass system much like club 33 tickets (iirc, 6 instant return fast passes per ticket per day).
Oh, cool. There's a thread now. I go to Disneyland way more than I care to admit.
While working in Disney World I got addicted to vinylmations. And I get really upset when I see my girlfriend going on the party bus and what not. But one my best friends learned the hard way while she was down here. She got on one and the bus dropped them off next to a swamp in literally the middle of nowhere and made them walk the rest of the way to the party place. Fuck that shit. I like to live quietly and I'm okay with that.
saw a party bus that was literally a big bus painted entirely yellow with "PARTY BUS" sprayed on the side with spray paint and generic letter stencils
I'm planning on going to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studio's next year. Does anyone know if the new Test Track is similar(or more fun) than the GM version? And if New Fantasyland is open/fun? Went there in 2012, and got to ride Test Track before the re-design, would take away the nostalgia factor of the ride for me as I rode that ride all the time in Epcot since I was a kid. I'm also hoping not to run in to those kids on summer again, especially the ones out of the country. They love to flaunt that they're number one, just to cause arguments. Last time, I was stuck in a crowd with people saying America was better, just a mess.
Test Track's new theme is dumb but the ride itself is unchanged. New Fantasyland's mostly open, it's cool.
test track's old theme was dumb, too. honestly it shouldn't have gone in epcot because there's no way to make it fit. soarin' doesn't really fit epcot, either. but, then again, where else could it go? well, test track could easily go to hollywood studios
Epcot has such a loose theme it's just like a big permanent world's fair pretty much, I like that it didn't just become "Realistic Tomorrowland". Test Track fits Hollywood way less than Epcot
I think Disney is afraid that by asking for proof of disability it comes across as being unhelpful and possibly rude. I think it might not be a bad idea, but I doubt they'd do it.
