I'm thinking of checking this show out but since it features extinct creatures I'm assuming it must be CGI heavy, no? Is the CGI god awful in a barely tolerable way or does it serve its purpose to add suspense/action/whatever?
Yes, it has a good load of CGI. For a show of this kind, it's very nice (Your mileage may vary), and the series is full of suspense and action. About this week's episode, it was really nice. The therocephalian reconstruction was pretty realistic (They looked a bit bulkier than I imagined), and I liked the fact they applied on them the speculated "venomous bite" theory like they did in "Walking with Monsters". Looking forward for the next one, which will feature a (pretty unrealistically looking and oversized) Koolasuchus judging from the preview

What I love about the show is that i'm not into these types of creatures as I only have a basic knowledge on Dinosaurs but it's good because these creatures I haven't heard of come off as a surprise due to not knowing much about them.
Hm, I'll definitely give it a whirl then. I remember the Walking with Dinosaurs series having phenomenal CGI for the time. And I know that CGI isn't all a show has to offer but... I'm a dinosaur nut and that's the primary reason I'll be checking this out.

Good episode :D Looks like Jenny returns next episode, can't wait!
Watched this week's episode. Man, that "Blair Witch Project"-like scene ay the beginning was hilariously cheesy. I wonder where they filmed those scenes at the coast town, that city looks beautiful (And I want to take a photo of that "Cock Tavern" *immature giggle*). Turns out the creature is not exactly a Koolasuchus, but a labyrinthodont according to the wiki (Koolasuchus was from the Brachyopoidea clade), maybe a gigantic microsaurid, given its serpentine shape. Nice episode. Also, the scene with "computer illiterate Lester" was pretty funny. Next one is gonna have Hyaenodons, seems it's gonna be fun

I thought the opening scene was alright.. first part of it was meh but the bit where it kicks in was good.
This week's episode was pretty nice. Good to see Jenny again after she left the ARC. The Hyaenodons were pretty cool, and the recreation of them was pretty faithful, something between a big dog and a hyena (Creodonts were related to carnivorans, so seems like a valid reconstruction), but perhaps they had a bit too long/slim legs. I liked the walking motion in them, it looked a bit funny though, but it pretty much represents why they went extinct: carnivoran running motion was way more energy-efficient. The "improvised Lester finishing rhe marrying of Jenny and her husband" moment was pretty funny :v: Next one is gonna have a terror bird on it, not sure what kind. It's weird to have a season withouth the bat predator (maybe it'll appear as a surprise, but I'm not totally sure). Looking forward for it, seems it's gonna be good.
Watched this season's finale. Man, those goddamn cliffhangers, I can't wait to see the next season.
Danny Quinn \0/ was great to see him back but weird finding out he is ethan's or whatever's brother
