Watched it about 3 weeks ago. Bloody brilliant, although I questioned some scenes.
Watched it about 3 weeks ago. Bloody brilliant, although I questioned some scenes.
For example..?
Well minor bits, like the dragging of the Bear Jew tunnel scene, etc
I loved the bar scene when they [sp]shot the SS-leader's balls out[/sp]
Though you couldn't [sp]Make anything out afterwards in the firefight[/sp]
I love how they drag out the very tense moments, like with the Bear Jew, and the entire scene in the basement. In the basement scene,
you start to think that they fooled the german soldiers, but then the ss officer comes. When you start to think they have fooled him too it all explodes in violent action
as only Tarantino can make it. I'm considering watching it again at the cinema with some more friends who haven't seen it yet, but it's a bit expensive to go to the movies here. It costs 95DKK, or 19 dollars to watch Inglorious Basterds, which means that I have spended around 38$ or 45£ watching the movie at the cinema.
I loved the feeling of impending doom Lander always made me feel when he talked. He always knew what was going on, but insisted on pretending like they were fooling him. [editline]07:29AM[/editline] Oh, also, did anyone else notice that the music in the opening scene was very similar to ennio morricone's?
That's because it is by ennio morricone. [editline]04:34PM[/editline] It's the same song that ennio wrote for a western (forgot the name)
Sounds like one of the songs from the good the bad and the ugly. But it's had some changes if it is, specifically that classical tune.

The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers. IMO, it looks like it's a dark comedy with a little extra from the Quentin Tarantino style. Edit: It is supposed to be spelt Basterds, so don't be idiots and be all like
SUPER FAIL not TO THE RESCUE
I just saw it. It was great.

I saw it recently, was very good. I wouldn't buy it, but it was definitely a good time at the movies. I loved the finale.
Definitley the best movie I've seen this year. The acting was really good, especially Christoph Waltz. Just realized I bumbed a 2 week old thread :aaaaa:
So many scenes were dragged out, just like his other movies.
Ingenious. I loved how they had a 10-minute buildup for this one joke [sp]about the accents[/sp] I also loved how incredebly ingenious it was to [sp]burn nazis in the oven[/sp]
^neither of those things happened. joke about the accents? what probably the best movie of 2009
For me, it was the best movie of 2009 for now (but I didn't see D9 nor Gamer already, and I plan seeing these too) The Bongeeeeernowww scene was priceless.
best movie of 2009

Gamer
dude. youre actually implying that gamer might not be a steaming pile of shit? who puts your pants on in the morning?
Released to DVD/BR yet?
dude. it came out like less than 2 months ago.
To be honest, I fucking loved Shoshanna's storyline far more than the bastard's. The scenes involving her were almost always much more tense (beginning, the scene in the resturant when she talked to Landa, and ofcourse [sp]her death when she shot the German war hero.[/sp]). Not to mention the final scene was magnificent and it wouldn't have the same effect if [sp]those two bastards just shot at the people. Knowing they were going to burn alive because the doors were locked and Shoshanna's face projecting onto the billowing smoke laughing at their demise made my heart sink. It was fucking beautiful.[/sp] Shoshanna was definately my most favorite character. She was beautiful in a realistic sense and had depth to her character.

That's it. [editline]12:07PM[/editline]
To be honest, I fucking loved Shoshanna's storyline far more than the bastard's. That smug bastard was just plain awesome. And then the main Basterd was great. He bought the grave dark humor into the movie. Bongeeerwnoo
