Well, it is a very good movie, but I don't know if it is better than all his previous work though.
I should watch it again.
But yeah, it was way better than Death Proof, there's no doubt about that.
although i wish that [sp]Hugo Stiglitz didn't die. that guy was awesome.[/sp]
I so want to see this, it looks awesome.
Shame I'm not 18 :saddowns:

Don't be a fucking pussy. Buy a ticket to go see Harry Potter or some shit and then walk into the IB theatre.

At some theatres they have people outside the screen to make sure nobody sneaks in. Or you might have a shitty cinema like ours with 2 screens.
Inglourios Basterds kicked ass. I've nothing more to say.

So's every other movie in the history of cinema.
I want to see it.
Also nein nein nein
Shit bricks laughing, but it gets overly indulgent at some times - not like I'm complaining, though :downs:
Thoughts on Inglorious Basterds (from GMF):
+On the whole, great movie that keeps you gripped until the end
+Nice tense opening; perhaps playing on former expectations of films like Schindlers list, a rather chilling climax
+Air conditioned cinema on a hot day
+Great performances from Christoph Waltz and August Diehl
-Uninspiring writing of Brad Pitt's character led to a two dimensional portrayal aside from a few stand-out situations
-At moments, felt like a script for two or three film series squashed down into one, as such:
-A lack of empathy for most of the Basterds
-Some of Tarantino's trademarks perhaps gone a bit too far; too many 'chapters' (at times seeming like a crutch for finding ways to switch between story lines), discontinuous and overzealous use of labels and titles
-Mike Myers' acting
A good film, but not quite the Kill Bill of WW2 flicks

Alone in the dark is better than Death Proof?
It was not a bad film, but it was veeeeeery special. I'm not that surprised that a lot of people dislike it, but saying that it is one of the worst films ever is overreacting.
Now, back to topic:
I'm going to watch Inglorious Basterds again because I really loved Christoph Waltz performance, I mean, he IS the movie.
Seriously, I hope the academy recognize this and give him a nomination.
He made an amazing Nazi detective Columbo.
Looks awesome. Couple of my friends saw it opening day at midnight. Said it was really, really great. I'm jealous.

His introduction when they're threatening that nazi captain, was amazing. Damn I want to see this film again.

I loved during the scene at the tavern, he kept giving the Commander dirty looks. Every time the camera cut back and we saw him being all like

When he slammed his pistol into the Nazi commanders groid aswell, that was hilarious.
I just saw the movie last night and absolutely loved it. I don't have a single complaint worth mentioning to be quite honest.
Colonel Hans Landa deserves an award for his role in this mvoie. The actor was perfect.
A+ movie, definately going to watch it again.
Saw IB last night. Mediocre.
The thing that I love about Quentin Tarantino's films is that he almost always includes music from old western movies.
He's a fucking genius.
although i wish that [sp]Hugo Stiglitz didn't die. that guy was awesome.[/sp]
[sp] Exactly, I was so disappointed. I lol'd at the scene where the basterds got him, somebody just sprinted by with a machinegun and killed everybody.[/sp]
How Fun!
[sp] This is truly Tarentino's masterpiece.[/sp]
The film seemed more of a dark comedy though.
Watched it today it was amazing
Oh yea, the [sp]part where it shows Goebells having sex with his translator, the sounds he makes are fucking hilarious[/sp]
[editline]04:47PM[/editline]
The argument about the mexican standoff was also pretty funny.
You could tell that the line at the end was Tarentino's words about his film
"This may be my masterpiece"
Did anyone else feel quite pleased to swear in public without getting dirty looks? :v:

Bastard isn't really a swear though. I mean, it is but... not like Fuck or shit or asshole.
[sp] If you noticed, during the big basement shootout, Hugo was stabbing the Gustapo officer in the neck over and over again[/sp]

[sp] I loved all the shootout scenes because they ended so quickly.[/sp]
I saw it and I loved it! All I can say.

Not in england bastard is worse than shit.
May as well be my favorite climax in movies. I mean DAMN.
I leaned to my friend at the part where the basterds got into the theater, and asked what he rated the film so far. "I give it a 7.5 our of 10. It's a bit drawn out at some parts, and I wanted to see more with the basterds."
Once the climax hit, I turned to him again. Rate?
"About 9000000 out of 10."
I never applaud during movies. But I just had to. That was the best time I've ever had in a movie theater.
