• Need some Data for Stats class, would FP be so kind to help?

There are so many confounding variables present that attempting to predict the two parameters you have selected and retrieving any statistically significant inference from it is beyond useless, you need to narrow your scope.
I've never considered myself to be all that advanced, yet I still get awesome grades. It's just a matter of doing the shit you're told to do. Bad grades usually isn't a matter of how "stupid" the kid is. Some people are just more motivated than others. Then again, a lot of the kids I go to school with are barely even literate. I'm not being judgmental. Just making an observation. One girl didn't know what 'motivation' meant. Someone had written something on the board once and they spelled bullets as 'bullits' and the teacher didn't even correct it. A lot of kids I go to school with don't know how to tell time on an analog clock. I don't know if it's that way with kids in this generation or if it's just in my area, but it's really disheartening.
Biased poll man, gather more data elsewhere to soften it.
City up in this biatch.
All this poll is going to tell you is the demographics of Facepunch.
The results of this poll, and average facepunch posting quality do not match up.
In the U.S., C is considered average, but A to B is the norm and C is very disappointing for a lot of people.
I like how everyone on FP are actually pretty smart, but still underachievers.
Actually everyone just thinks they are smart in this cool kids club.
This is convenience sampling, so expect a bias unless the sample size is large enough to let central limit theorem account for and state that the data distribution is normal.
It would be a better idea to have them rate their GPA instead. Your bland questionnaire is really inconclusive. Leading your data mining operation to be inefficient and not accurate.
OP YOU GO TO MIDWOOD HS AMIRITE :smug:

Hell, I learned how to tell time on an analogue clock before I did with a digital.
The fuck? Hell, I learned how to tell time on an analogue clock before I did with a digital.
I used to use a digital clock because I'm quite slow on an analog clock. Nowadays, I can read the time instantly with an analog while when I use a digital, its takes about 2-5 seconds just to read the time. :v:
I voted, but it needs more catagories, a lot more.
You should of made a theory where you can analyse a correlation, makes the conclusion so much more easier because you have more to say.
Well i just took all the polls, showed to my teacher, said it's perfect so whatever, ima just write it all down and bam A+. thanks a lot guys, even though this test is flawed as shit.
I gave my input. Good luck with your project.
It would be a better idea to have them rate their GPA instead. Your bland questionnaire is really inconclusive. Leading your data mining operation to be inefficient and not accurate.
not everyone is from the US
not everyone is from the US
I apologize. What is Europe/Asia/Africa/Oceania use for a standardized grade point system?
I apologize. What is Europe/Asia/Africa/Oceania use for a standardized grade point system?
UCAS points in the UK I think, not sure about everywhere else
Chi squared HOP test! Or is it GOFT.... Fuck.
Funny, I just did this with shoe sizes. My conclusions: Not enough girls on the internet.
So these statistics tell us that having above average grades is average...
Where's the option for island? Also the grade average would be: Lazy as fuck, still graduated muthafuckas.
Island would be rural. [editline]24th May 2011[/editline] Unless it's Singapore or some't like that.
Where's the option for island? Also the grade average would be: Lazy as fuck, still graduated muthafuckas.
Rural, way below average. IQ is equivalent to freezing point in Celsius.
