Updated it to make it look more like Tekken Box Art. Created a more defined logo and made changes to the fire to add definition to the characters. Original is on the left and new is on the right.

It looks like all you did was sharpen the logo.
Still, very well-done touch-up work.
Got to use one of these lenses today:
http://www.canon.com/bctv/products/hj21ex75b.html
(Usually mounted on a broadcast camera, but for the purposes of learning had it on a PWM-EX3)
Really bloody confusing, camera has its own menu system and everything, servo controls for focus/zoom cost about £2k each
Also learnt the basics of the RED ONE on wednesday, more computer than camera, trying to control everything through one menu tree system seems absurd

The original was made by me from scratch. Completely in Paint.Net. That original isn't the actual game box it's my work.
You drew that?

Oooh, in which case, nice.
Did you actually draw it, or is it 'shopcollaged?
Yeah sorry to say I made it from scratch is a little incorrect as the character art was obtained from here. However everything else was made by me.
Also below is the actual box art. I actually like mine more tbh.

Small update, got most of what I want in the picture blocked in. The details on the helicopter are going to be a bitch. Yeah I know you can see the primary rotor through the tail fin I've got it under control :v:

It annoys me how the "Tekken6" text isn't sharp. Especially not on the 6, very blurred. But it is definitely improved being sharper than the original and got some more shadows and darker values, the texture put on the jap text was a good touch to it.
I strongly dislike the red light over the dudes left eye, and why is he at the bottom corner of the cover? Makes no sense and looks incredibly silly when you notice it, same with the other guys fae in the bottom left.
I don't see how the fire has been changed to add any definition to the characters, all I see is that the background red has become slightly stronger.
Otherwise it looks overall good and believeable.
Also I think you need to work on your meaning of "made from scratch".
The logo, the text and the characters are not made by you. You have however edited them, but not made them.
Is a bump allowed ? .. I would like some feedback on my photos in Post #794.

I'm gonna be posting something soon to show off my new umbrella, hehe. I gotta put it through its runs!
jetlitheone you just made me want to take a picture of a similar road we have here, except it's steeper. It's the ffffuuuuuuuuuunnnn hill
I need some inspiration.
Anyone have any neat/fun tricks you can try to get some interesting shots? I've been trying fast shutter speeds and bright flashes, with a low ISO and solid backgrounds, but it gets old.

Go out to a desert if you have a cable release and a neutral density filter and shoot the sand for about an hour in bulb mode. Then again you'd have to be in a really cool desert area similar to the Sahara to get a wavy effect with sand.

And it would have to be very windy too.

Speaking of cable releases... I just got an Alienbees umbrella light, and the sync cable that came with it has an odd end on it that isn't on my Nikon D5000... dammit, more stuff to order :argh:
plus side, I can trigger it simply by flashing another flash. nifty, but if I want it to be the only source of light without bouncing my big camera-mounted one off of stuff and adding bad ambient lighting, I'ma need a cable.
I need some insp--
wait that's everywhere.
Photography comes easy just take your camera everywhere.
Although I do get made fun of in a joking way by my friends. But I don't go anywhere without my camera [usually]
I'm finding ways to avoid ambient splash... here I intentionally used the splash to gently light my dark side.

Grr, angry. Any thoughts on technique? I'm just tinkering but would love to hear helpful hints before I start actually trying.
[editline]1:10[/editline]
For some reason uploading the picture to flickr and facebook ends up creating an odd black splotch that's visible around my dark eye's area. it's annoying and won't go away. :raise:
[editline]1:11[/editline]
I guess I'll toss this in for the sake of comparison- before the light came in, I wanted to try and get similar lighting to what I achieved in the angry picture up there (and failing to do so) using just the top-mounted flash I have (Nikon SB-600).

still happy with the end-product, despite being so blandly lit.
also vodka tastes better when drunk from a blasphemously awesome shot-glass.

another bonus, huzzah. Same girl.

I fucking love editlines. Also, I've decided to do my final photography class project on the deadly sins. Wrath, Lust and Sloth, anyone?

my friend said when they first saw it, they thought it was one of those dramatic pictures of Dr. House. :neckbeard:
Holy sh----!!
I went to Poke you back [on facebook], and it loaded your crazy Profile Picture and I was caught off-guard and went, "WOHH!!" out loud. I love it, lmao, so serious, I thought you were Greg House at first!! XD Dramatic lighting, ftw!
[editline]12:12[/editline]
another friend said it was very "Colbert-esque". Funny thing is, I was actually crossing my arms when I did it. :v:

Play with slow-sync-flash. If you do it right (not like me) you can get some really interesting shots.

Sometimes you do need outside inspiration though. I almost always carry my camera everywhere. It gets my friends used to being around the camera, and means their photos will be less "posed". And that's where some of my favorite photos come from.

Sometimes you can't always get people used to being around cameras... Taking pictures in Chicago is a hassle for me, I have to sneak pictures to keep everything natural, but then people bitch about me not asking their permission first. If I ask permission, they look awkwardly posed and smiley in every picture, nomatter how 'natural' they're trying to act... :argh:
for the record, I ask permission to use their picture afterwards if I get a recognizable face-shot, though I haven't actually used any of those pictures...

True.
But my friends at least are starting to get used to it.
I don't know why but I really like this photo.

Ah, yes. That's what I was looking for.
