Thanks dgg, I've not cropped it but removed the vignette and some of the branches, top right

And that some messed up stuff there. I like the second one, it seems more coherent.

Also here is what happens when me and my friend take up the tablet and draw in turns:

Thank you dgg !

That's a fucking weird place to get the motivation to buy a tablet from.
inspiration is inspiration, I suppose. Artists only need a spark to create a flame.

Yeah, I know. But there are so many astonishing tablet drawings out there that it's hard to imagine bad scribbles cause that spark.
very true. Since we're on the topic, here's a few of my older works, all done on tablets. Some on my tablet laptop, others with a graphire tablet.

chances are, some of you have seen this floating around the net. The original was done by Cirea, Acegikmo's sister here on the forums. What followed was a flurry of people wanting to 'color' the picture, so I jumped on the bandwagon and did a re-make at a much higher resolution. Fun times.

finally, here's an animation I did using a tablet to draw the frames- [url]http://daijitsu.deviantart.com/art/my-first-real-character-anim-78469937[/url]
edit- damn media tag thing doesn't like me. it shows /img tags if you use them, but if you don't it shows /url. :argh:

You're right ! ... Wanted one for a long time, and last night when I saw you drawings it clicked in place.
I bought the Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch, mainly because of the design ! :)
It's a lot harder then I thought, but I find it quite funny !

I want a new camera...
But I really want an opinion.
Lenses are much more important then the bodies right ?
So i want to take some more interesting portrait shots, does anyone have any good example of some interesting portrait shots.
This is the best i've taken so far, i posted it earlier:

Much more important. A state of the art SLR camera with a average kit lens with beat an average SLR with a state of the art lens. That's my opinion

Yeah. I thought so...
I think im going to focus on getting lenses first then by christmas ill have like a new camera [maybe full body]
But portraits need alot of creativity...
I suggest trying to fill your face with the shot as you don't have much depth control (im assuming you only got a kit lens?)
and photoshop lens blur works nice as long as you dont make it look like shit. Haha

A lot, i know. I figure it will help me become a better (more interesting) photographer. Yes i have a kit lens, i intend to have a 35mm prime lens by Christmas hopefully & thanks for the tip about photoshop. I have seen many shoddy lens blurs :)

Which body and lens(es) do you have right now?
Lenses will last you a lot longer than a body (as far as getting 'outdated', if ever). If you're going to get lenses, make sure you invest in something you'll be happy keeping for a long while.
Of course, bodies aren't inconsequential. a $5,000 DSLR body with a basic lens will presumably outperform a $400 one with a big expensive lens.
by no means does more money always mean its guaranteed to be better, but you know what I mean. Gotta balance your needs and choose which equipment you feel needs the upgrade first.
[edit] that's what I get when my internet dies and my post doesn't go through. Just resent and its been answered :v:
still, what equipment do you have right now?

Rebel XS
Kit lens
50mm 1.8
I need more lenses like a macro and all that.
I really don't have any bills to pay haha so price isn't really a problem.

Well, if you decide to be cheap anyways, I'd suggest maybe just getting a set of macro filter lenses-

[i]...I got bored.[/i]
30 bucks for a +1, +2 & +4 set (or a single +10) beats a whole new real lens (price-wise), and they work fine for my limited macro-related needs.

If I were you, just get more lenses. It isn't worth it to buy a new body with the camera you have at the moment. I just got a Canon XS and I love it. And if you really think that the body is really important, look at Brianetc.'s stuff, he uses a Canon T1i right now. And that camera barely beats the Canon XS.

Why do you have anime dolls
Unless you're planning on doing lots of low lighting or sports, which newer bodies are more useful at. If it's just portrait shoots, don't worry about getting a new body.

used to be a huge evangelion tard when I was younger, picked up a few items because they were shiny. Plus, I liked the poseability and extra details of that one holding the lenses more than one of these buggers for when I'm making arts-

good news is, my room doesn't look like this-
[img]http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/images/motivate_otaku.jpg[/img]
...well, it does, but instead of anime crap it's trash, clothes, wires and paper. Y'know, the usual college student getup.
and a space-heater buried underneath it all... somewhere. You'd think I was asking to die in a ball of fire or something. I've been run over by more cars than caught in fires, so I'd like to think I'm winning thus far. :v:

Not a problem though. Evangelion was awesome. That was the only anime I actually bothered to watch. Well, that and FLCL.
