Some stuff I made ages ago: Demon/Alien head: Gears Of War dude: Master Chief A Orc As you can see, I like to draw fantasy and fiction characters.
The legs look nice and sci-fi-y with the straps and boots, but the upper body looks kind of plain and out of place with that officer-style shirt. But thats just my opinion; they just don't seem to match.
How I imagined it is that he's taken most of his equipment off so there's no trinkets on the upper body. There will be some detail on the helmet so I hope it'll balance it out. :) Thanks for the feedback anyways!
Yeah usually when you make something and post it you think it's the best thing in the world because you've spent so many hours staring at it. When you sleep on it, in the next morning it looks like shit. :v: Happens really often to me.
Yeah, usually in the morning I look it over and I'm usually pleased that it's still there and looks as nice as I think. But when I scan/take photos of it... Weird, apart from poses it looks nice on paper. I should do a mirror check or something.
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/champagne.jpg[/img_thumb] Cell phone camera ahoy; happy new years everyone
Love it, surprised it was just a cellphone cam. Did you do any post production, or was the softness just from the crap quality of the phone cam? oh, the past few days have been interesting, I started up a 365 for my new years' resolution, since if I resolved to lose weight I'd wither away to an empty husk. :v: day 1 - 12/31 on the way to pick up a friend in wisconsin... whom you'll probably see in today's picture. day 2 - 1/1 silly cat, what are you doing? you can't play poker, you're a cat. you have a terrible poker face. [editline]1:11[/editline] I may start up a thread once I have a few more pics, but for now I'll post up here. the flickr set - http://www.flickr.com/photos/daijitsu/sets/72157622987438113/
Love it, surprised it was just a cellphone cam. Did you do any post production, or was the softness just from the crap quality of the phone cam?
The softness came from noise reduction in post processing.
Water drops plus a few of the only photos I got at new years eve !
Awesome, film is definitely something I'd like to at least get my feet wet in (eventually). I think it helps to write down your exposure info for each shot on a small notebook at least when you're starting out. That way, its a lot easier to see what you did wrong. Gonna develop your own film? Looking forward to seeing some cool photos from you!
Thanks for the advice dude. As for developing my own film, when my dad lived in Asia he couldn't have the film developed, due to a lack of people doing it and he started doing it and reckons it's a nightmare. So I've decided for the first few sets of pictures I shoot I'll have them developed professionally. Then maybe later I'll develop my own. I've got a few rooms at home I can utilise as a dark room and it wouldn't be that expensive. Several other things... Found these lurking around... (Not my pictures.) A Halina 3000, made by Haking of Hong Kong. A Ricoh. Not exactly the same as mine, but pretty similar.
I really like how there are lots more contributors than a while ago Anyway, here's one that's quite old, thought I'd revisit some old pictures cause I haven't taken any new ones. What d'ya think?
What battery grip do you have on your D40? I'm going to get one for my D40 as well.
It's called Opteka Professional Battery Grip, I can't remember where I bought it, but it was a fair price.
Hey this is my first time lapse video, C+C please!
Get a better camera!!!! The sun has some black hole. And uhm, record more angles. Looking for more than a minute at just one angle, and actually not alot happening, it gets boring.
It's called Opteka Professional Battery Grip, I can't remember where I bought it, but it was a fair price.
Coincidently that is the same battery grip i intend to buy for my d60.

Imageshack is down for me for whatever reason. Sorry :frown: http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1324.JPG I sat at the window and just thought this would make quite an artistic picture. What do you guys think?:3:
It's called Opteka Professional Battery Grip, I can't remember where I bought it, but it was a fair price.
They have it on Ebay for $33, I was looking into it last night. Great price. No AF with the shutter though right? Since it just acts like a IR trigger correct?
Imageshack is down for me for whatever reason. Sorry :frown: http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1324.JPG I sat at the window and just thought this would make quite an artistic picture. What do you guys think?:3:
It has some potential. I think I'd crop out the parking lot on the bottom, and mess with the color balance to make it a little more appealing. Remove the overall blue hue especially. You camera probably has white balance settings. If you haven't done already, try setting it to cloudy or daylight. Nothing a little post processing can fix though. ______________ I have so many pictures, but I'm not used to just sitting down and editing mass amounts. Feel free to comment and critique what I have so far though. A wild animal Last night's moon (taken through a telescope).
