Nice
Thanks. Quick question: One of my friends said I should remove the electricity wires and double yellow lines. What do you think? EDIT: Rate me disagree if you want the picture to stay the same
Thanks. Quick question: One of my friends said I should remove the electricity wires and double yellow lines. What do you think?
the wires maybe, the lines no at first I didn't like the wires but they kinda work too shop them out and compare I guess
Photography should be done with what your environment gives you. The real skill should lie within finding the right composition just when taking the shot and not correcting it or changing whole parts on the computer afterwards. But that's just me probably.

Made this out of something I drew before:

Either way, digital art and the ability to manipulate film is exactly what reserved photography a spot on the fine arts, so I'm not sure what you're on about.
Also, Most digital cameras have built in contrast editor program. Unedited shot will be the traditional cameras. Regardless, color and saturation range for a lo of camera shots are not accurate and/or are not wide Enough to depict the image in real life, hence photo editing comes into play. Phoediting should be the attempt to restore what is there that the image should be showing. A color-tweaked photo is no more 'unnatural' than a black and white photo.
Most of the time the settings that your camera automatically edits are shown in the RAW formatting. ie. when I open an image it automatically has +50 brightness.
That's interesting, I never checked that. Probably because I convert the raw file right away without paying much attention. Also, I'm a novice in photography. Mine changes the saturation a bit I believe, not sure how much exactly. It can be changed in the setting for mine, some post-shot precessing.
Raw isn't really that much useful until you get really into photography. I really need some lighting equipment. I start a nicely paying job on Saturday so i am gonna get an AlienBees... im pretty stoked.

I guess you're misunderstanding me here. I'm not talking about contrast/color/filter etc. manipulation. I'm talking about manipulating the whole composition - as example shooping stuff out of your pictures because you think they don't fit in. You should learn to avoid that when taking the picture or just live with what you have.
one of those conflicts of the photoshop age; it's nice for composition, but wreaks havok on journalistic integrity and preservation of the 'true' image. :/ I for one welcome imperfections and try to make them work for me... but I admit I shop when things become too distracting or annoying and don't compliment the composition. this was shopped using only the Raw editor to more faithfully recreate what it looked like in person... the photo originally came out with a desaturated sky, possibly due to the camera trying to correct it, and the foreground was very dark... again, probably the camera adjusting things like the EV; I had it on auto because I just ran out to the road in a hurry while it was still all crazy-like. I'd post the original unedited photo, but that's not on this computer.

Of course you should make the best possible result when taking the photo. But some things are simply unavoidable. Like power lines that Perfumly stated. Why shouldn't you remove those if they make the photo better? Just because of stubborn principles? Makes no sense. So you got a pig. And you got a pack of ribs. But since the ribs have been made with the aid of machines I won't take those. I'll do it all from the start with the pig because it's more natural. You shouldn't cut off branches of a tree when making a flute either. You should find a perfect tree or live with the branches on it.
I say avoid editing for journalistic integrity, but very little else. Artistic expression is about what the artist sees, not the camera.
I did some heavy editing on a picture. Like shopping out some people, making it reminiscent of a painting, changing the colors around. You know, random shit. I wouldn't want the tourists in that photo anyways, haha.
You turned it 90 degrees? That's awesome
fit to frame, filtered, layered to give it an interesting environment... only thing missing is a big username and- oh, there it is- "Fadingz". I'd say it's an art-form all it's own, every time I try making a signature it turns out extremely bland. :v:
every time I try making a signature it turns out extremely bland. :v:
That's because 95% of signatures are bland. Because signatures are boring and uninteresting. See one signature and you've already seen 50% of them.
See one signature and you've already seen 50% of them.
But the other 50% are awesome! :hurr: I shitted up the border and don't feel like fixing it.
