Please tell me you have this in a larger resolution.
I want it too
I do, but I scaled it down because it wasn't too sharp to begin with. Getting it taken was basically pointing a telescope at the moon and having the lens point blank at the eyepiece. I understand some astronomer/photographers make or buy some sort of rig to mount their cameras on to their telescopes. I should read up on telescope photography for the next time I do this. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2737/4238748419_dcb6ff1f37_o.jpg Larger edited version Since it was kinda blurry to begin with, I had to identical layers, sharpened the top on quite a bit and brought down the opacity. Anyone have any better process? [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/moon1.jpg[/img_thumb] Original version - The camera wasn't perfectly lined up with the eyepiece so it looks like it's a waning moon. I don't know about that blue outline. Refraction? [editline]09:03PM[/editline] Also, do you guys want the other unedited images? I personally don't like them as much, but you guys can probably play around and make something better than mine. I could make a zip file or rarrrr
The blue outline is chromatic aberration [editline]02:09AM[/editline] Unless I'm wrong. It's early.
Yea, it probably is. Reading this astronomy thread.
Is anyone else doing 365? I'm using tumblr and fotolog. Can't be arsed to make another flickr account. http://365-2010.tumblr.com/
So I noticed that every picture of Kramer on deviantArt makes him look like a bird, obviously the only solution to this was to draw him without any skin on his face.
Lol hi Shawn.
:smith: [editline]12:33PM[/editline]
I understand some astronomer/photographers make or buy some sort of rig to mount their cameras on to their telescopes.
It's generally just a tube with your camera mount on one end and the other side goes into the telescope instead of the eyepiece.
i took a picture of some fireworks, it's not that great i wish the tripod i ordered would hurry up and get here
that's p. awesome, i like it mang (idk cameras but it looks pretty much perfect to me)
Ongoing WIP C&C please!
looks snazzy imo
They have it on Ebay for $33, I was looking into it last night. Great price. No AF with the shutter though right? Since it just acts like a IR trigger correct?
Correct, I've never used it cause it was a pain in the ass to switch between the shooting modes every time you tilt your camera from vertical to horizontal. I use the grip for the cameras extra size and the extra battery life.
Imageshack is down for me for whatever reason. Sorry :frown: http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1324.JPG I sat at the window and just thought this would make quite an artistic picture. What do you guys think?:3:
It'd look much better scaled down. Maybe with a bit of edits it could be made better. When I'm on Photoshop later I'll see what I can do. Edit... Not very good I know, bearing in mind I only spent a minute or two on each. Although, I actually quite like it. As well as that I found this picture I took in 2004ish. It's of a US amphibious assault vehicle that I saw at a car show.
I recently decided to give art and drawing a try as a nice hobby yesterday. Before then I hadn't drawn anything in a serious manner since almost probably 10 years ago. This image you see here originally was one of my many recent doodles on paper I did. I decided to take the time to put this on my computer, and edit it with Photoshop (to which I am still completely new when it comes to editing drawings). Also please don't mind the background or setting if it seems a bit bland or bad. I am still completely new. And with the picture itself, I'm not too sure to be honest, it's a pretty angry dolphin. Maybe fishermen.
Not creative, but hey: Start of creative(?):

I think your capable of easily producing something better right?
I think your capable of easily producing something better right?
I'd like to think so, i was too busy today, so i had to come out with this weak piece. Luckily my new lens is coming tomorrow so my work should get better.
What kind?
another one from the fireworks night c&c would be nice (really)
Both are quite nice, but perhaps you could have dragged the shutter time a bit longer. Also, do you have any wider views of the display? Those tend to look good too.
unfortunately not, i was using my 50mm f/1.8 :( i was considering going back inside to put on the 18-55 kit lens but i would have probably missed the fireworks, ah well; hopefully i shall remember next time i encounter a fireworks display also thank you
What kind?
prime 35mm nikon lens, costly to me and my low finances
I like it. Captures the moment very well. Where was it taken?
Thanks, it was taken in Arnside, Cumbria, England.
First piece of photoshop work, and I believe my first post in Creationism Corner. C&C Please?
This is some bloodsucker I originally made for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. thread, but your comments are welcome as well. It's made in plasticine so it can't be baked or painted, but I never intented to anyway. I would've liked some better photos, but I currently can't do much about it, since I'm staying at my parents' for a week still.
Ongoing WIP C&C please!
Glow kind of ruins in IMO I liked the original better WIP Photoshop project, first real time using Photoshop and a tablet on this scale/level of detail. C&C needed and welcome. Red is what needs finishing.
another one from the fireworks night c&c would be nice (really)
This is really pretty gleb :3 But I think that the silhouettes could have been captured better if you would have taken a few steps back. But I really like it :3:
