Like, spread out or what?
There's holes in the clouds, which looks odd to me.
I posted this in my own thread but no one commented on it, so I thought I'd post it here as well, just in case. It's a poem by Charles Bukowski. The paper texture is stolen from somewhere (google).
yeah, if you're a snapshooter walking around the house. Otherwise there's lots of preparation, money invested, travel, and dealing with real life environmental issues such as awkward lighting or bad shadowcasting. ...And thus the point stands that they should be separated. Photo junkies seem to pay more attention to other photo junkies, and mixed mediists to their own. As much as I think splitting the threads could be a good thing, I kind of like having both groups together, so they can see what everyone else is up to and get a bit of inspiration. Besides, I've been doing a lot of photo work recently, but I still love talking with photoshoppers and traditional artists because I love doing all that as well. Hell, just a few posts ago I gave constructive criticism and handed over a massive tutorial that could potentially boost the artists' workflow ten-fold. My vote in the issue is we keep together, at least for the remainder of this thread's natural lifespan. I know there's the 3d modeling thread existing all its own, so I don't see why we shouldn't make new more separated threads once the need to move on arises... but for now, I think we're doing just fine. [editline]04:23PM[/editline] meant that someone may be a little blunt and state how much they don't like it, for one reason or another. I know how it goes when you don't draw all that often but have a style you want to pursue, and was there once myself. Glad ya learned something though, keep at it!
Most the photos here are snapshots. I do nothing but snap shots myself so I'm guilty of that. Most of the time the shots you see have had more time invested in editing that picking and composing the subject. I think that this thread is just perfect the way it is.

I made it smaller with normal sized wheels, then i lowered it, and lowered the roof lol

Just did a friends Skyline too. Looks like a monster truck though
I honestly feel as though Creative Works should be split into Creative Photos That Aren't Threadworthy and Creative Works That Aren't Threadworthy. There are just so many photos in this thread compared to other mediums.
I can make a thead.
freelensing. allowing tilt shift effects and cool light leaks...
That's one big-ass mishapen revolver.
I was going off of memory. Plus, I was really depressed and didn't care that it was really big.
I can make a thead.
well, fine by me. I know you'd put in a lot of content to begin with. Besides, I didn't realize we're nearing page 50 of this thread. :ohdear:
I was going off of memory. Plus, I was really depressed and didn't care that it was really big.
You were really depressed last night but not now? I think you were sad or upset, not depressed.
You were really depressed last night but not now? I think you were sad or upset, not depressed.
yeah im pretty sure depression is something that lasts more then a day.
It was new years eve and I'm still a little depressed. It's started to fade away.
There's something that I just can't seem to get right about these clouds!
Make the shadows on the clouds more prominent but at the same time make the highlights stand out more. and also study how clouds form and shape themselves, they (usually) aren't just clumps. They are almost amoebic in how they move and connect. also what's with the green?
Just got my tablet today and have been doodling and trying to get used to it.

[editline]06:56PM[/editline]
nein [editline]01:38AM[/editline] actually sure go for it
I'm not going to make it. I don't take pictures. I wish I had a cheap Rebel or something but I don't.
I'll volunteer to make the thread if performual doesn't jump at it like he said he might. I'm doing a photoshoot in a little bit (hopefully), so I'll have some fresh content in about 6 hours. ...I WOULD start off the mixed media thread, but I have nothing new in the least to contribute. ...couple that with continued work on my upcoming "so you have a tablet... NOW what?" megathread, and a possible upcoming photoshop contest... bleh. Got some typin' t' do.

I'm going to retry the art competitions that I did about a month back, except this time, all the mediums will be in one and given two weeks instead of one. I'm not sure what you intend to do with the Mixed Media thread but the tablet one sounds good for now. Is the photoshoot with the same girl?
nah, with the regular girl, holly. oh, but the other day I DID go with that girl to victoria's secret to help pick out a few... things... and all of the photography on the walls was almost the same exact lighting technique as in the above picture. I felt a bit more proud of my work :v:

a blessing, and a curse. I feel so lucky, yet it tears me apart for several reasons (not related to the photography). Curse you, cruel fate! :argh:
Going to try again on the clouds. I think I'm going to make a custom brush because the soft round circle just isn't cutting it. Should the clouds be darker too?
at least a little bit more contrasted in the tops, and a bit darker overall on bottom. The undersides are too near the color of the sky surrounding it, so you need to work on making it pop out ;D

Listen to this man.
call me grandpa.
