i really need to do the bottom left corner/piece/slice/whatever over again, did that part late at night and it looks half-assed even for a work in progress. overall probably about 20% done. the machine hand shake is gonna be a real bitch.
still getting used to my tablet and fiddling with it.

The foreground is rather dark. There's little action other than a generally uniform cloudscape. I think next time it needs to have a more obvious focus and an obvious change throughout.

Made it entirely out of masking tape, did all the lines, shapes etc with making tape and went over it with pen. I know it's not finish and lot's lines are wonky, but there was my first go at making a masking tape picture for college.
That's pretty cool.
Next time, set down perspective lines and such before you go over it with a masking tape.
It's a pretty cool idea and looks pretty cool.

Something I'm kinda working on.

It took 5-10 minutes to draw the basic shape, then a further 10 minutes to smooth and nearly complete the lineart. I think my mouse movement is improving as well.

MOUSE?!
:buttertroll:
That looks tablet as shit!
That's a mouse.
100% positive.
I sort of abandoned the earlier guy and decided to do another quick concept, a girl this time. I might actually start to do one of these a day just for practice. And yes I know the other hand is maybe slightly too small, I'll redo the whole hand when I have time. And the ear is maybe too far away from her jaw.
Heavy WIP:

eyes have a weird angle.
Looking two directions? But I dont think you should do to much about the ear :)
I also got my first tablet, and here goes the first thing I made on it. (guess what I did the 1 janary between 1 am and 4 am)

Seriously? 3 hours on THAT? What software did you use?
Skip the gradients next time and try to shade it manually using a brush.
The lines look awful use a soft brush next time not the pencil.

OKey... I used Dogwaffle (free), because I cant do any good painting in photoshop ($$ which I by some reason didn't pay).
No gradients and brush next time.

If you don't want to pay $ for an image editing software and don't want to download any illegally, then I suggest you use GIMP, it's free and is almost like Photoshop. ;)

3 hours?!
I'm trying to think of a thing that took you 3 hours to do.
Ooop, found it!
There's a gradient tool, you don't have to do it manually.

Actually I think he did use a gradient tool :P
He must be trollin', I could do better in ms paint in 2 minutes.
Wow, such a discussion my newbie-painting do!
I dont know how long time I did use on it, less than I started somewhere around 1 and pressed the red button at 4.
I did use gradient (now I see it through the web-browser I also notice those lines...), and I got Photoshop, but I dont know about how to use it to make something with a good look.
But don't discuss me more than necessary thanks! Here should be more interesting stuff than me...
Nah, you are the most intresting thing here.
I allready have printed out your painting, did a sculpture out of it, placed it on a gold podium and I pray towards it every time before I go to sleep.
I forced myself to sleep 4 times today just so I could do this.

Reasons I feel maybe it took so long was that he was probably experimenting with features and stuff in his photo editing software.

The sarcasm is unneeded, stop being pretentious.

It's clear that he's trolling. why not get the best of it?

Does it need any changes? =)
Yep, put some borders around those grey tones, make the background fit more with the logo, make it more liny-ish and less flat.
instead of orange you should use red.
As much as I know about web-design red-black combinatons hardly ever work.
Font cuts off in the header.
I got my first camera, and here's some photos. I would love some C&C. :)
