i dunno, i rather like them like that
except for the last two, but i think that's just due to trying to take long-ish exposure night shots with ISO 400 film
[editline]30th July 2011[/editline]
(no idea actually though)
I agree with H4Z3Y, far too contrasty for my liking.
I do like number 3 though.
I like the contrast, sorta reminds me of infrared film
Got my first ever roll of film developed today!
A few potentially nice ones were ruined because I accidentally opened the back cover when I was rewinding the film to unload it, and a few of them were just out of focus and bad, but here are the half decent ones. There was a nice one of my brother too but he's being a bitch troll and saying he doesn't want pictures of him on the internet

I think some post processing could make some of them look a bit better but my computer is dying or something so I'm doing this in Safe Mode so no photoshop or anything
What do you guys think?

OM-1 + 50mm f1.4 bros!
[QUOTE=ep9832;31442589]OM-1 + 50mm f1.4 bros![/QUOTE]
yeah, I've decided that om zuiko is the system to invest in, next on my list is a 35mm, then a 135mm to round off the holy trio. and I should be able to do it to considering I'm getting paid 250 in a week or so...
I saw an OM system winder for £8

also this is one of my favourite shots from my recent trip to london

I like these shots a lot.
I think the contrast is good, it fits the blueish tinted color.

thank you!
OM-10 + Zuiko 50 1.8, can I join the party? :v:
OM system master race
[editline]31st July 2011[/editline]
my best friend might also be buying an OM-2 with a 50 1.8 for his fiancée
OM system master race > Pentax ME inferior race.
I picked up a OM-707 for €3,- second camera ever to have autofocus, it's absolutely horrible and the manual focus just works the autofocus motor, so it's very slow.
Guys, I recently got into film with a borrowed Nikon F3 + 50mm f/2.8 and was thinking of purchasing my own 35mm camera body.
I'm torn between 3 choices. A Pentax K mount camera, a Canon FD mount camera or a Canon EOS mount AF film camera.
I'm not familiar with the Pentax K mount and Canon FD mount camera models, so if you guys could suggest me somthing that would be great!
EDIT: From reading the last few posts, should I consider the OM system? :v:
the single digit OM cameras are a pleasure to use; the shutter setting is around the lens mount so it's a lot handier than on other cameras
you could consider the OM-2SP, which has an aperture priority mode, a program mode, and can do spot metering
:v:
[editline]31st July 2011[/editline]
also, at least with the single digit models, the build quality is pretty awesome and they seem to be difficult to break
So I suppose the single digit OM models are Manual only?
I think there's a guy selling an OM10 for 20$ not far from here.
the OM-1 and OM-3 are manual only, the OM-2, OM-2SP and OM-4 are manual + aperture priority, don't know much about the OM-4 but the OM-2SP has program mode as well
[editline]31st July 2011[/editline]
an OM-10 needs a special adapter that plugs into the front without which it doesn't have manual mode

a couple shots I got developed a month ago, got a bunch to scan as of yet. Might even share a handful of my sister's prints, she did pretty well for her first roll of film.

damn us and our lack of lens fungai eh?
Damn, this thread inspired me so much, that I will actually fish out my dad's old film DSLR, buy some Film and do some shots with it tommorow. (if the weather is fine)
Anything important I should know ? (never used film before)
Just spent 3 hours in my bathroom developing film. Now have 5 rolls which I've used over the past two weeks to scan, that is when my scanner arrives in the post around Wednesday.
So guys, Minolta 7000, is it any good ? My dad owns one and I am going to take it out in a few minutes to try it out but I wanted to hear your opinions on it. I got a Sigma Zoom Lens for it, don't know the specifics though.
[QUOTE=cueballv2themax;31455531]damn us and our lack of lens fungai eh?[/QUOTE]
clearly Olympus lenses are far more prone to fungus than Pentax lenses.

Nearly all of the people on here wont know the specific details of any random camera that you quote the model number of, you're far better off doing your own research, your question is one that google can easily answer...
that said, I read this article [url]http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Minolta_7000[/url] and it seems that it isn't a bad camera at all, although I'd get rid of that likely shitty sigma lens and get yourself a prime, 50mm 1.8 is a popular / cheap one to go for...
Oh well, thanks though. Yeah, Google told me it's "good". I like it so far, although I need to get used to the zoom lens and I don't know how to set aperture/shutter time on the camera, so far I just let it in PROGRAM mode. It's fun though, as soon as I finish eating I will go to town and try to take some nice pictures. :)

while we're on the topic of stats, stuff like this makes me paranoid someone is making fun of me to their friends via email, facebook etc.

View from the window in my room at the Intercontinental on Michigan avenue.
Just removed the first film I ever shot from my camera and put in a new one. Gonna check some photo stores tomorrow if any of them develop in-house, and hopefully I can see the pictures tomorrow evening. Kind of excited to see how my first film experience turned out ... It was a lot of fun, that's for sure.
