people still use yahoo mail?
oh wait that's what flickr works off of, forgot.
people still email with yahoo mail?
I've been using Yahoo mail for the longest time, never had the heart to get rid of it. Also, I'm bad at this. This was pretty much a test roll for me to go through the whole film process. I ended up using the most ghetto method possible, and got some interesting results with the strips. I guess I just want to show my end result. Preparing for some bashing.

Just scan them, can't judge by that, also stop getting your hands all over the negatives.

Love it.
Ahw man, I'm a retard;
I got a Praktica LTL 3 from my uncle, put a film in it, shot some stuff and got it developed.
BLANK
So I open this thing up again and try the shutter, it works (except for anything slower than 8 ), the winding mechanism works, the aperture works.
So I look at the winding mechanism again and I realize I loaded the film the wrong way.
(it's two spools that each go another direction, kinda like gears, but every camera I owned they go the same way)
yuo duMPass
So I shot a roll of film to test out one of my cameras that I recently got and this was probably the best photo on it. It's not really good but this is my first roll so I figured I ought to post something from it.

Aww man I didn't notice that in the top left hand corner :( CVS, why you so gay?
Should I get this? The price comes out to $1.20 a roll.

[editline]Damn automerge[/editline]
Damn automerge
seems like a nice deal, though I don't buy expireds and wouldn't know average pricing. a buck a roll ain't bad sounding though
Buy them. I've never heard of people not being able to use an expired roll.
and they're only 1-5 years old, kept in "cold storage", so they're probably in better condition than if they just sat in someone's garage.

so today I finished my 3rd & 4th rolls and went to get them developed. while I was there I saw the ever elusive Ektar (I seriously went to 5 different places for it), so I picked up some rolls.
Total: $40. What? B-Hazard you lied to me you said film was cheap. :[

how many rolls did you buy? even the 120 ektar I bought was only $4/roll
Four at $4.99/roll.
Four at $4.99/roll.
for retail that's pretty damn good. I think I get it ~$4/roll off ebay for 135 and 120
Four at $4.99/roll.
Buy it online.
I'm not as worried about the $.60 I'd save buying it from B&H. It's mostly the developing and CD.
why do you get so much more detail in lights on film?

Higher dynamic range, so it doesn't blow out the highlights etc.
Probably has something to with a higher latitude or something.
Buy nicer film.
Stuff like this is taken with the Kodak Porta 400

I think that the (presumably) medium format with insanely sharp lenses and huger apertures might have something to do with making photos like that look good too.
Is the best film camera setup better than the best digital camera setup?
By setup I mean lens and stuff, and in the case of film, film
