Just a [idiotic] question; do you guys do much editing to your film pictures?
none
Going to bring 3 rolls of film to the store to get them developed and hopefully I can get them back the same day to get them scanned.
My Canon 7D is gathering a bit of dust now that my Pentax is getting used more.
I got my scanner and now I'm starting to scan some film

Don't mind this last one, I know cats are overused subjects but the expression I got when I pet her was priceless.
dropped off my last roll of Kodak bw400cn at walgreens (hurr) and it came back printed with heavy fucking chromatic aberration. Not sure if it was the film itself or the fault of the printer/employee, but having thick yellow and blue auras emanating off of people and contrasting objects, and a green overall haze from tiny blue/yellow splits, just pisses me the hell off
glad as hell, though, today was my first day of the film class. I get access to the lab soon, and the teacher is apparently getting us to shoot one 36exp roll or two 24exp rolls for this week alone, and double that for each week after that, AND I need a 100 sheet pack of the photo sensitive paper... my wallet would run and hide in a corner if it could.

What's the exact name of your class?
It's Photography I, heh.
There's Photo I and II, which is B/W oriented and Color oriented respectively, and Digital Photography I and II, which are Photoshop Selection Marquee oriented and Learning to use your camera outside of auto mode respectively, haha.

i've only heard of chromatic aberration being caused by the lens itself, were you shooting wide open the whole time?
it's black and white film. I was under the impression it records in black and white. It's color negative processing, but I don't think it would key in on lens-based CA.
chronogenic b&w film is basically color film which makes the dyes form greys. true b&w film uses silver crystals and shit
Haven't posted in a while, been pretty busy with exams and moving and such things. Gonna post a few more from a roll of fuji neopan when I get hold of the CD again. The last one with the signs was taken at George Square, Glasgow, which is currently being used as a set for the filming of World War Z, pretending that it's in Philadelphia.

Think I'm going to stay with B&W film for a while
B&W is hard to pull off, it's mostly about lighting IMO.
bw is a slippery slope, I tell ya what
but, I'll be posting a lot this fall/winter because I'm in a film class devoted to b/w. Need my practice. Good thing is, I'm a lighting nutcase.

I'm getting tired of using it, I will be posting ~300 shots soonish.
It's a sad day when I spend all my money on film, a tripod, and a shutter release and I can't get my film developed because I spent all my danero. :c
Already posted this in the Creative thread, but I wanted to know what the hip film people in this thread would think of this. I just got my first roll of B&W film developed! :D
It's a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus. Probably gonna try out some XP2 since it took 22 days to get it developed. That, or I should learn how to develop B&W film by myself.

I'll make sure to mention that to him some time.

Yeah I just got my Kodak t-max 400 developed. Took a week and cost me a whopping 10 euro's for one 36 exposures roll.
Shits fucking expensive but then again, shooting film is so much fun.
I have an old Insta-Print type camera from late 1990s does that count?

Do you use it?
To anyone: I'm thinking of getting a scanner soon. I remember a couple of you guys used Epsoms? What model could I go for to get half decent results?
v330 is great but it only does 35mm. You can get it for about $100 USD
If you want to scan medium (up to 6x9 (as small as 35mm too, of course)) get the v500. I think I paid about $200 USD for mine.
I have both and would recommend either one.

I have the Epson V300 which I use to scan my film. Look up my film pictures and see if you think it's good enough for you
I have the Epson V600 and it does a great job, I paid around $185. It can scan 35mm, medium format and full sized document.

I keep planning to go out and buy more film but i keep procrastinating.

Doesn't count until you use it, IMO.
Picked up a used Canon EOS 650 with a 35-70mm lens a few weeks back; for a twenty four year old camera, works like a charm. Should have my first few rolls of film developed next week.

My current stock.
Quick question, where would one find those large boxes of film?
