That's what she said

the subway got wide to me because i set my my tripod and dslr on the platform for a long exposure, fucking cunts.
Just dropped of 3 rolls to get developed. Hopefully they turn out ok.
Anyone got recommendations on film to use. I normally use Fujicolor superia or just C200 And I am after a change.
Done it again I bought a Zenit 12XP with two lenses two teleconverters, a helios flash and what I think is a lightmeter. I need to stay off ebay new camera again by CommunistWolf, on Flickr
It has the 58mm 44M, you will fucking love that lens.
I got another 35mm film camera since my Argus died. The new camera is an old Minolta X-700 from the mid 80's or so, it came with a 50 f/1.7 as well. The camera and lens only cost $15.50, and the batteries that it uses are easily found so that's a major bonus so now I don't have to guess how to expose my photos. Plus, my dad found an old Kodak film canister in his garage that his dad gave him to use to hold nails and stuff so he gave it to me. Great find. I'm not sure if it rivals Olympus' OM 1 digit series viewfinder though. :P
pentax me super viewfinder is of gods
Pretty much all old film SLR's have giant viewfinders. [editline]30th October 2011[/editline] But yes, the ME Super one is awesome.
OM 1/2/3/4 viewfinder is best viewfinder.
The pentax me super viewfinder is great, I used to have one. If you get a chance though, look through the viewfinder of one of these:
has anyone any experience with pushing/pulling their film? thinking of trying some portra400 pulled to 200
has anyone any experience with pushing/pulling their film? thinking of trying some portra400 pulled to 200
you can't really push or pull colour film, that's required to be developed for a certain period of time. I've pushed and pulled numerous rolls of b+w though, with mixed success.
just went out and shot the creepy halloween moon across a lake
Two rolls of B&W Ilford Delta stung me £11.50, and now to develop both at uni it will cost £10. IT JUST AIN'T RIGHT MANG
it cost me $27 to get two film rolls developed at walgreens. they're the only place on my side of town that will do it. HIGHWAY ROBBERY, I TELL YA
So its normal for it to cost quite a bit? I wouldn't mind so much if they did a really good job with it, as its the universities own photography agency doing it. Still could be a bit cheaper? I'll know when I learn to develop my own next year.
I have a store near me that does a roll of 120 (develop only, unfortunately) for $5.50. 35mm i believe is $0.50 cheaper (once again develop only), but I use snapfish for that, and I get it printed and scanned for the same price.... However, neither do B+W film. The place that does 120 may do Kodak BW400CN (C41 B+W) but I keep forgetting to ask the guy when I'm there.
I developed today and some of the shots looked like they didn't come out, but I'll know better when I get a chance to make a contact sheet
As I said in the other thread, I found my dads old Pentax Spotmatic. Seems to be all in working condition as far as I can tell. I'm thinking about getting a roll of film and seeing what it can do, though I have next to zero experience with photography. Any suggestions on what I should do? What kind of film? I'd like to pick up a dslr one day but I figure playing around with this might be a good idea, plus its cheaper than going out and getting a dslr as I already have it in my possession.
any kind of film will do, iso 200 is a good speed to start with for mostly outdoor stuff
I love it when a picture captures the personality of someone. The developed photos are always so much more vivid. Contrast always gets fucked up for me.

To those of you who self develop, how much do you spend on materials?
To those of you who self develop, how much do you spend on materials?
roughly $20 for a 1L bottle of developer, another $20 for 1L of fixer; I picked up my dark bag and dev tank for $5~10 each second hand.
How many rolls would you usually get out of that?
