currently in the proces of taking apart my Yashica tlr. Thought it was working fine but sometimes the filmwinder gets stuck so I can't advance the film forward. I can also hear something rumbling around inside of the camera, a small screw or something, so I'll have a look into that too.
Adventure time woo!
Here's how it looked when I got it:

You can see where the leather/plastic let loose on the sides and front of the camera.
Here I took away the lenses and the backdoor.

Trying to remove all of the other parts right now. Mirror, viewfinder+magnifier and the steel piece that holds the lenses so I can, hopefully, reach the screws that unlock the sides.
[editline]4th December 2011[/editline]
Done. At this point it's all still pretty easy. Hardest part is to keep track of all the tiny screws.

[editline]4th December 2011[/editline]
Took out this screw or whatever it is. It was loose and just flopping around inside the camera. It still gets stuck somehow which is strange..

[editline]4th December 2011[/editline]
I think I found out where that 'screw' belonged. It's strange because I can't really lock it in somewhere, but I'm pretty positive it belongs where I put it right now. I think it's stopping the lever if you crank it back.
Started to put everything back again. The focussing mechanism was very tricky and it's where I spend a full day working on(Aside from doing other things like work and school). You can see two round-ish plates sitting on top of each other on the picture below. These plates rotate when you twist the focus knob and push the lenses forward and backward. Hard part about this was to figure out how these plates should be placed.

That's a really excellent photograph.
Ok just got back from the Car boot sale.
I ended up Buying a Polaroid 600 CoolCam for £1

and a
Kodak Brownie 127 for £2

I managed to load some 35mm film in the brownie. I want to see how this comes out.
I've never said this but one of photography goals is to go to Krasnogorsk, where my Zenit was made and take a photo of where the factory is/was with the Zenit

You know what I like most about film? Dat colour and vignette.
I finally fixed my Yashica TLR. It was such a pain in the ass but so much fun. If you are bored then I suggest buying a camera that is supposedly broken and try to fix it again.
Gonna run a roll of Ilford HP5 through it and develop it.
woo
Really a beautiful camera you've got there DoubleDD. I envy you. How much did you pay for it? What's your experience with it?
Just uploaded another from the same trip.

It really took me a long time to take this. She didn't notice me, but I had to sneak around to try and get the best view. I think I got it. It was damn tight in that cabin on the boat with bunkbeds and equipment everywhere.
Yummy! Those are some great....
Colours.

Payed only 30 euro's for it. My experience is zero at the moment. I haven't shot it because I've been trying to fix it. Think I got the mechanics down but the framecounter won't go past 1.
I'll run a roll through it and see how it comes out. Just have to note the shots I've taken I guess.
Framecounter started working again ;D!

I got real lucky with this one. I think I managed to capture a short moment of very genuine closeness between two people.
After 3 weeks of living on a boat with 60 people or so, a lot of strong friendships were made/reinforced. These are the hands of my dear coursemates Carrie-ann and Jo.

there are real people named jo?
weird
I know 3 girls with the name Jo.
Usually short for Joanna, but the dropping of the 'e' in Joe helps distinguish between the male and female nickname.
Just got a canonet 28 from my neighbors, seems like a good first film camera since it's kinda point-and-shoot. Gonna buy batteries and film after school, can't wait! Probably gonna buy the canon a-1 or ae-1 when i get the hang of it, but for now, this will have to make due :)

just ghetto-scanned my first roll of 120 film. Used my dads Nikon D60, a lamp and some other bullshit to keep it all in place. You can't really judge anything because these aren't exactly ideal conditions for these sort of things, but whatever. Here are a few:

This was a testroll to see if my Yashica worked properly after I tried to fix it. One problem I did encounter was getting the film onto my reel. I have a plastic reel and because the 120 film doesn't have any sprockets which the reel can hang onto, it started jamming after putting it halfway in. I had to force it in there now.
Atleast I know my Yashica works and I can use 120 film now. Which is awesome.
Also, it seems that, eventhough the 'scanning' was poorly done, the images itself are pretty sharp.

Good to know it works. I really need to get mine working. The shutter's stuck on mine.
I like the first shot by the way. And they look pretty good for a quick scan with the camera.

i kind of hate film sometimes i tend to use part of a roll then run out of things to shoot, atm i have half a exposed roll of velvia 50 in my mamiya and 1/3rd of a exposed roll of ektar in my om-10. with the mamiya it isnt so bad i could switch the back if i had one to use another type of film and there arnt that many exposures but it takes forever to get through a 36 exposure 35mm
Those are glorious pick.
