Just got a Voigtlander Bessa a folding camera from about 1935 and it uses 120 film. Do shops have a problem with 6x9 frame size?
depends on where you live, but 120 film isn't something 'problematic', just uncommon enough that it probably needs some extra attention in getting it where it needs to be. I know around here we don't have many dedicated film developing locations left so any store I go to will TAKE the 120, then ship it off to some place down in the city. It cost me like $26 to get a single roll developed due to shipping and handling fees (thanks to the guy behind the counter for telling me an in-house price than charging me for the shipping AFTER I got back). Alternatively, use the money on gas and drive to the location yourself, or ship it without the middle man. so, if that's your case, at least take a couple rolls before sending them out so it cost less because you ship the lot of them together

Also I got 2 rolls of fuji press 800 for a pound each
Shinya Arimoto’s fridge.
Are those yellow bottles juice or developing fluids?
Welch's HC 110 Lemonade.
color film tastes so much better than b/w
i imagine color film would taste like skittles, and b&w would taste like chocolate milk. does that make me a fat ass?
I just got a Nikon FE a few weeks ago from my dad with a sigma macro lens on it, works really well, just need to scan the pictures then I'll post them here. He found a Konica Autoreflex TC in our basement today as well, with a standard lens and a Hoya 80-200mm lens. Not sure what else the Hoya lens will fit, besides the Konica.
Just dropped off 8 rolls of film (4xBW and 4Colour including 1 APS roll) to be developed. Hehe, last time i had film developed was like half an year ago
How much did it cost?
For APS film it costs 2,90 euro per roll. 35mm C41 and BW film costs 2,59 euro per roll. (E6 would cost 2,75 euro per roll and framing them +2.75 euro) Our Dutch FP'ers who want to know where I'm letting them being developed: It's the Hema (http://www.hema.nl/foto/2-dagen-analoog.aspx).

They don't develop their own film. This is the cheapest way of having your pictures developed in the Netherlands AFAIK.
someone is finally listening to me! They are incredible cameras, fucking awesome lens and the usability is just perfect. these are the photos that I've taken with mine: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhaslehurst/sets/72157626342161739/
imo the Canon AF35ML is one of the best compact 35mm camera's, you can find them quite cheap as well
imo the Canon AF35ML is one of the best compact 35mm camera's, you can find them quite cheap as well
looked it up, seems pretty nice. 35mm is a tad too long for me. I'm looking at getting an Olympus Mju-II sometime in the near future.
Just developed my first black and white film an hour ago, won't get to really look at them until next week though, so excited.
Pictures came out horrible D: don't know if to blame the people who did it or me?
What's wrong with them?
Ruined a roll of 120 today trying to get it onto the spool that goes inside the dev tank. So frustrated, could spool 35mm fine but 120 was so fiddly.
Ruined a roll of 120 today trying to get it onto the spool that goes inside the dev tank. My spool is adjustable so it can fit 35 and 120 film, but 120 film doesn't have sprockets so the spool doesn't 'take' the film, you just have to jam it in.

Today was just as bad. Loaded Portra into a 6x6 Bronica and shot a few of my friend on the tube into central London, back shut fine before I started shooting. Got to St Pauls and took the camera out, the back opened/was open in the bag when I gripped it by the body and the film no longer light proof. Had a roll of Fuji 400 left so I put it in but it didn't catch when I winded it in, fell on t he floor so it was also no longer light proof. The back of the camera snapped shut on the tube so it must be a problem with the camera. Such bad luck with film when I really want to get into it. I need to look for my own MF camera as the uni first year ones are so busted up. I love framing a square photograph.
Just got a Mail from my grandfather saying that he's got a Mamiya 35mm film camera in his apartment (my grandparents are currently retired and have been sailing through Europe for like 6 years and have been home about 2 months per year..) with 50, 150 and wide angle 20 mm lenses that i could borrow. pretty excited, but he had no idea what model it was, still i don't think it will be any worse than my Canonet 28 which doesn't have a working battery compartment, i.e no working automatic shutter speed, locked at 1/30.
I just scored a Pentax K1000 and 28mm f2.8, it's in perfect condition, original box, slip, time and place where it was bought :D I'm so amped to buy some film and shoot with it, I always wanted a film SLR. pikshurz
Thats a good camera you've got there, since its very well made and Pentax has always been a choice for students for some reason.
Thats a good camera you've got there, since its very well made and Pentax has always been a choice for students for some reason.
Awesome, thanks man! Now I need to find places that sell lenses. :)
Awesome, thanks man! Now I need to find places that sell lenses. :)
The first thing you should get is a 50mm-ish, luckily you get a choice with pentax lenses as theres a f/1.7 version and a f/1.4 version I think, and don't forget the Russians Helios 44K-4 or an M42 adaptor and some M42 lenses generally cheap. I would say ebay but you never know what you'll get in the end
