I recently picked myself up a Polaroid and I am loving it, I will post a few pics up later. My girlfriend has brought me a Diana F Lomography for xmass which I cant wait to get my hands on just need to find some 120mm film and I have a mechanical film camera that takes 36mm I have shot one roll but still need to get it developed, I miss being able to use the college darkroom.

If you are in europe here is a link for 120mm film http://www.macodirect.de/kodak-portra-p-2172.html however you need to to spend around 39 euros.
Edit: Also for 36mm film http://www.macodirect.de/kodak-portra-36br5x-p-2171.html
Is there some secret faction that hoards all the Nikon SA-21 35mm adapters for Coolscan Scanners or did people really only ever fucking buy the Coolscan to digitize slides? I'm amazed that over the last three months I have only seen TWO SA-21 adapters show up on ebay and neither were sub-$200. Everything else was for single/batch scanning slides.
Got a film scanner for Christmas :D So chuffed to finally be able to look at the photos I've been taking over the past year or two.
Here's a few I took with an Olympus OM10. Any weird artefacts are probably because I processed the film myself and I'm not all that good yet

PS: I have no idea why the images aren't all the same width
Looking good! And they aren't the same width due to scanning not being the full surface area of the film, and some being more cropped than others
Yeah scanning software does a shoddy job of auto cropping your negs and if some are more tilted than others the crop will be worse. I make the scan area wider and crop it myself in LR.
Guys just a heads up, my local second hand shop is selling two film cameras with quite a few lenses for 40 quid. So in a few weeks I am going to get it and sell them here so just pm if you are interested in it and I will tell you the camera and lenses as soon as I get it, also the price.
Very tempted by that mate, my Carena's winding arm is coming loose and has a lot of plastic missing.
Well I have just come back from the second hand shop and the two cameras are: a nikon F75 with a standard lens. And a Olympia dl2000a with three lenses.
is it £40 each or £40 for both?
Each.
Had a bit of a review hunt on google and the Olympus seems like something I may be interesting in, what lenses come with it? and what mount is it? :)
I am not sure on the mount to be honest but the three lenses were a prime lense, a telephoto and a stand kit lense. It also brings a grip with it.
Edit: Also a flash.
Any focal lengths or apertures? just trying to weigh it against what ive got as to whether I should buy it or not.
Ok mate, I can go today back to the shop to write down what it is. I will pm you as soon as I find out.
ohh legend!! thankyou! i thought you'd bought them already you see! cheers mate:)
It's not an Olympus, it's an Olympia, which is a fake SLR with a fixed lens. The lenses that come with it are probably miscellaneous random lenses that will not fit the camera.
The Nikon is a much better buy. Especially if it has a D lens, which could alone fetch some money
Aw shit, I just realized I have a semester's worth (so like 4 rolls) of B&W film I haven't posted up yet...
The Olympia is a downright trash camera. It was a scam camera so to say. Even the lens isn't made of glass.

I'll post some of these in the creative photography thread, just for a little more viewing, any CC or tips (especially on the black and white) is much appreciated.
Amazing set man, lovely tones and consistent style!
I have a question, does anyone know the best way to scan in Polaroids ? I have some amazing photos that I want to share but I keep getting newton rings when I scan them in. Its really starting to bug me any help would be greatly appreciated.
make a shadowless lighting setup and take photo's of them?
make a shadowless lighting setup and take photo's of them?
I have tried that it didn't work out as I planned, things became a bit washed out, I will find a few and post later on.
My lovely Carena CX-300 has died I think. Can't wind the shutter arm and the shutter button does nothing when pressed.. what do I do guys :(

Is it run off a battery? Have you tried forcing the winding arm (don't do it, just curious.) Sometimes you need the battery to let the shutter fire, and if you forced the winding arm you could've messed up/jumped a few teeth on the gearing inside...
If this seems oddly specific, I've seen it done in a camera. Man was that a bitch to fix.
i have used it i may upload a few pics i used with film

That may be the case actually, since I bought it the lightmeter hasn't worked and I shrugged it off because I'm pretty good at metering myself and that's why I never changed the batteries. May have to go and get some replacements. And it isn't that, I have forced it once before by accident when i didn't realise I was at the end of a roll but when I removed the film and put a new roll in it all worked fine again.
This is how the Polaroid turns out when using the photograph taking method.

maybe someway of getting the Polaroid of the glass of the scanner as that is what causes the newton rings I believe
Looks to me like you're just exposing it wrong and have the wrong white balance, better lighting/exposure/white balance/focus and there is no reason photographing it won't be good
