I think you're missing my point. I never stated that life was sunshine and rainbows all the time, but it's not like it's going to make someone feel better by saying "Life is shit and will be shitty".
I beg to differ. Charlie Brooker is the brightest light in my planetarium.
I've considered it, but I don't even think of myself important enough to. I'll sit and wonder if I should talk to a professional and my conclusion is always "I don't deserve it."
everyone deserves to live a happy life.
everyone deserves to live a happy life.
except for the welsh singsong windtalkers
Calling up a random therapist from my yellow pages and telling him "Hey man, I wanna kill myself. Help?" just . . . no? Seems weird. Is that really the process? I kind of regret not dropping the fact that I'm depressed while I was in hospital for the kidney stone now.

Don't bother with a private therapist unless you feel like you really need to talk to someone and the person your healthcare system hooks you up with doesn't cut it. Just go in and say "Excuse me, but could you refer me to a psychologist? I'm depressed, and I've lately had thoughts of suicide." Don't be afraid to show that you're scared or any of that, since in my experience that usually just gets you a quicker reaction. But whatever happens, just go with the flow. [editline]3rd October 2011[/editline] Canada has a universal healthcare system, yeah? So psychiatric help should be covered under that.

They give you 2-3 free sessions and after that you have to pay up.
Unfortunately psychiatric help isn't covered. They give you 2-3 free sessions and after that you have to pay up.
That's 2-3 more than what we get. I assume the prescription is still covered?
This is based on my experience with attempting to get psychiatric help. My doctor referred me but warned me that I would only get a few free sessions. Sorry broke my automerge. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline]
That's 2-3 more than what we get. Yeah, I paid $40 for oxycodone, tamulsin, and some sort of super-ibuprofen when I got the kidney stone. Two or three sessions is a start though.
It's just an idea but maybe quitting school and taking some time to sort yourself out would be beneficial in the long run. You could even work and get some money to buy antidepressants and/or therapy.
I already failed school and I'm not in college at the moment. I've been looking for work for five months now, nearly six. I've had something like three interviews only and I never get anything out of it.
Also a word of advice, don't try and quit your addiction/s cold turkey. Especially when you are in a vulnerable state like you are, it can be devastating to your emotions and mental state. its important that you let whatever doctor you will be seeing help you ease back into your life.
Don't quit your addictions cold turkey either because you could become really sick and die from it.
I'm not really good at this but, best of luck to you. Hope things turn out well!
I feel for you man.
Phone mr. Therapist up, organise a session. When you get there, don't hesitate and start talking to him once you sit down on that lil' chair. Then it'll all start coming out. Trust me, man. There's nothing better than sharing your troubles with someone, especially if they can help you. Besides, maybe you could have him help you with your unemployment situation?
Think of how happy you'll be if you see someone about this. Go for a glide, participate in a re-enactment, find something exciting to do. You'll see.
Stop using anime avatars and you will see the light once again.
1. try to find yourself a job, im sure you would find day to day life more meaningful and rewarding. 3. be drugsmart & don't let your impulses control you. Understand the effects of drugs and let knowledge be your new best friend . http://www.erowid.org/pharms/oxycodone/oxycodone.shtml 4. Talk to someone.
It seems like you're addicted to anything. I drink, smoke weed and pop an occasional opiate based pill every now and then but I do it in moderation. I have a successful relationship, 3.6GPA in my senior year of collage (Computer Science and Math) and a steady job. It's all about moderation man. I would go check myself into rehab if I were you. Also, please don't pop those pills straight. I hope you're doing cold water extraction to get all those tastey little opiates away from the liver killing pain-killer substance they mix in to discourage abuse. Your liver is already being taxed enough from the alchohol. My girlfriend is currently suffering from an hyper active gullbladder. It sucks balls. Sometimes when she has an attack I have to hold her in my arms while she's on the floor crying from the pain. She usually ends up passing out in my arms from exhaustion and pain. I can't wait until she can have it removed. :( Good luck.
Protip:For suicide use newest weapon:micromelter! But suicide ruins job career(ban avoided). So don't do it. Oh,you don't have a job.
Unfortunately psychiatric help isn't covered. They give you 2-3 free sessions and after that you have to pay up.
nah that's wrong If you're referred to a psychiatrist by a doctor it's free, I've been to about 6 sessions and haven't had to pay, and never will. Some psychiatrists may have a private practice and charge you to be there but you aren't forced to use them. best way to do it is to go to a therapist, if they decide you need to see a psychiatrist they'll write you a letter that you can give to a doctor (so you don't need to explain your story) who will refer you to a psychiatrist. alternatively you can check yourself into a mental hospital if you want, that'll be free as well (and if you check yourself in you're allowed to check yourself out at any time provided you aren't a danger to anyone)

One thing about suicide; think about how much of an asshole you'd be if you killed yourself when there are people out there that want to live but can't.
One thing about suicide; think about how much of an asshole you'd be if you killed yourself when there are people out there that want to live but can't.
I dunno if that makes you an asshole
I dunno if that makes you an asshole
How so? It'd be like going to some poor family that tries hard to earn cash, and burning £1k right in front of them.
Well he wouldn't be killing himself in front of them would he?
Damn dude, do you drink fancy liquor on the regular?
