It's supposed to be a trilogy. The next two are going to come out fast because all the computer animation is in place. Writing the script is almost trivial when compared to everything else that goes into a movie.
Is it just me or do I predict:

Oh crap.
I'm gonna get this aren't I:

I am PSYCHIC
i heard that the smurfen are going to invade pandora
It's been completely obvious that it's been in pre-production ever since the day the first came out in theaters, that's how most planned sequels/trilogies work.
I have a feeling it's going to be just one huge fight scene between the humans and Navi. What else could be done? It's not like the Navi can just leave their world.
I just hope he doesnt get carried away with the money, and make a good squeal. There is so many films i can name when the sequels have been utter shit compared to the first film.
That's old news. The director of Avatar already said he was planning on making the movie into a trilogy a few weeks ago. Avatar took 12 years to make, if they were to make a sequel it wouldn't be out for a WHILE at least 5 years, and the visuals would probably be 10 times better. The only good thing about that movie anyway was the visuals. The story wasn't that great, typical action/adventure/romance movie, the only thing that puts it above other movies is the random nipple shots of blue alien seamonkeys.
No, the thing that puts this above all the other movies is that there has never been a movie of this kind actually done before. Americans getting our asses kicked by 'blue alien seamonkeys'.
James Cameron needs to get his ass in gear with that goddamn Battle Angle movie. :saddowns:
I bet it's going to end like the first movie.
As long it's just as good as the first or better.
wow my dog made me post on accident

Avatar 2: The Humans Come Back!
MUCH WORSE THAN BEFORE
[editline]07:54PM[/editline]
Or another human ship that was already on it's way and didn't get the message that they surrendered (6 years to get there, 4 light years away = bad communication)
I'd rather see a Predator 3.

Avatar 3: Humans go away! THEY MIGHT RETURN!
I haven't even seen the first one.
Too soon for a sequel.
Pre-production doesn't mean it'll be out any time soon, especially with a film that probably takes the most time in post-production.
I haven't seen the movie, but I expect they'll beat this franchise to death for every penny
If it's already in pre-production, that means we'll only have to wait ten years for the next one!

It was in production for 12 years in the same way that Star Wars: Episode 1 was in production for 16 years.
Good. Avatar was fucking awesome, I can't wait till the next movie.

I love how every user rates dumbs and disagrees to anyone daring to post that they liked Avatar, but when Benji does it he gets agrees.
