Sounds about as dank as Caribou Lou, tech n9ne isn't kidding when he says it will FUCK you up haha
finally not feeling too tripped out anymore behaviors were breaking down into little metaphysical games of sorts, I could see/feel them in the form of psychedelic visuals.. the best was conversation turning into a sword battle of sorts between knights haha, if this is a form of synesthesia it's a fuckin sweet one I feel like my brains been reprogramming itself a bit and people just make so much sense, wonder how long that'll last i've also felt a lot more "cool", for lack of a better word. Not clouded by little anxieties, hope that doesn't go away
i might be a bad influence, but drank some red wine with my mother.
I shared a bottle of white wine (Chardonnay, real tasty stuff) with my mum when I was in Austria this January and it surprised me that she always seemed to me as the type that disliked minors drinking. (love that you only have to be 16 in Austria and Germany to buy and drink alcohol, might be in Denmark too, dunno)

If you're a responsible drinker go for it but considering most British Columbians under the age of 20 act like complete fucking idiots sober you don't even want to imagine how bad they are when they're drunk(Unfortunately I have to experience this). I despise alcohol not just because my father and sister were alcoholics but because I have never met a responsible drinker. Majority of violent crimes I have witnessed involved alcohol.

Don't blame alcohol, blame the individual, otherwise that's how we get to prohibition in the first place.
I generally don't drink unless im around a lot of my bros. too many times ive seen drunk people want to fight. my neighborhood would be a prime example of how not to handle you alcohol.

Now we do both, it's ridiculous.

Alcohol just makes you less responsible so irresponsible people using it just goes way too far.
First full day of sobriety? haha nope! found a roach in my pocket from who knows how long! We just took our summer clothes out from the basement, I wonder what other wonders are in store for me in the pockets of my shorts!
I know I'm extremely biased when it comes to Alcohol that's why I try to avoid discussion of it here in DD. broke my automerge fuck i should just go back to using edit full time
Yo bro's, I'm down in NYC for a vacation woh ma parents, though does anyone know how to make this trip less touristy and more fun? I mean it's a beautiful city and all but I want to do more than walk around and see shit (except if it's stuff that aint there) Really what I'm asking is, what do normal NYers do in NYC? Is ther anyone here that lives in NYC?
Go out to eat. There are A LOT of good places in the city, just do some googling.

smoked a few bowls and took a massive shot of whiskey, i really need to take a t-break soon.
It's why it's so neat wow, no chance of automerging in this thread.
Also isn't irresponsiblity sort of relative a subject? breakin mah auto merge! lmao NO YOU BROKE MINE!
Yeah, I'm not sure the subject is really just opinion I guess. I probably have more dislike for alcohol because I'm always the guy whose smoking weed and everyone else is completely hammered and either super sad or super angry over nothing and I'm just acting chill because I'm so focused on thinking. I'd love to occasionally drink for the social aspects of it but I'm too afraid to do so because of cross tolerance between Alcohol and Benzos which can apparently cause withdrawal symptoms to return. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] Does anyone else notice that FP is sometimes more "zoomed" out occasionally? Then when you refresh it's the normal sizing again?
That people becomes idiots when subjected to alcohol is quite the opposite of subjective; it's objective fact.
Not necessarily, especially when you have to consider a few variables like: how much they had to drink, how much they weigh, sex, as well as prior personality all have to be taken into consideration. For instance, I consider my drinking to be very responsible, usually never more than 3 to 5 beers or shots equivalent, I've never gotten into any sort of trouble. honestly even at the most drunkest I've been, we're talking like 14 shots in an hour sort of deal (yea I'm sure some of you have done more, don't be proud haha) I've never wanted to fight anyone, or got myself into any sort of trouble. I think the worst I did was mistake someone's mother for their grandmother and asked the girl in question if that was her grandmother. Lol an amusing response "What!? Bitch that's my mom, not my grandma!" I was then so so very sorry haha. Wow, pocket weed is the shit!
Having a hash bash right now.
I don't know why but it's really comfortable to sit with my keyboard resting on my knees

You haven't fucked up(yet) because of pre-constructed constraints your mom and dad was competent enough to teach you, but unfortunately most parents don't even understand this themselves, resulting in the absolutely terrible alcohol culture I'm trying to describe. Alcohol is an exception because unlike any illicit substance user, the subject has no stigma telling him he should be careful. The problem isn't alcohol, it flat out bad education.
That people becomes idiots when subjected to alcohol is quite the opposite of subjective; it's objective fact.
In large quantities, related to how that person can handle their drink. Not everyone who drinks becomes Fighty McShoutson, and most people (or at least most of my friends) can go at a steady pace and not get too fucked up. I do agree that when it is a problem though, it's annoying as fuck.

I'm not saying someone who'd never gotten in trouble can't get destroyed one night and fuck up that one time, but probability says usually that's not gonna happen.
Touhou is something else when you're high.
@Zach#### This is starting to become about semantics, but fuck it, it's addicts Lounge People are people, you can't fit them into rational ones, irresponsible ones and so on. Like you said yourself in an earlier post, the individual has too many factors contributing to their psychological state and their dealing with alcohol. This is why there's no room for the individual when talking family/society health perspectives relating to alcohol. Instead we have a shit tonne of journals made by doctor people uniformly telling us what we already know: An intoxicated brain is not as efficient as its counterpart. Which really brings me to my point: All intoxicated people(no matter what substance) is an idiot in some aspects, every drug has that one thing that makes it dissonant with sober culture.
The reason why alcohol is seen as causing such destructive behavior is because a) alcohol effects the brain as a whole slowing down function and b) this includes the frontal lobe responsible for personality, decision making, and judgment. It makes it easier to choose bad choices over good ones because it hinders your foresight. You dont think to far into the consequences of your actions and this leads to countless mistakes like getting into a fight over some little thing, letting out a deep secret/being too open/crying in public, or doing something you would normally never think of doing. I've done dumb shit while drunk, my friends have done stupid shit drunk, and in our case it took a lot of alcohol for things like that to happen. This next part is just me speculating that maybe since personality is also dictated by the frontal cortex maybe subtle, non-favorable, characteristics are more likely to spring up while drunk. But thats just guessing. My point is alcohol does effect judgement whether you are responsible or not. I mean think about the setting, you have a few drinks in you, you're feeling good and you want to either feel better or keep the feeling going so you keep drinking, next thing you know you overdo it, pretty easy thing to do since it fucks your judgement and takes time to kick in. Anyway, fun fact, the reason you get the spins while drunk is because of how your brain perceives movement in accordance to your eye movement. There are signals sent by the muscles attached to the eyes that tell your brain when your field of vision is moving. This allows you to look around and still feel that the scene around you is stationary; your vision is moving, but it is not motion. However when you drink a lot these signals get slowed down. So when you look around the signals arent reaching the brain to tell it "yo dawg, its just the eyes moving, the room aint spinnin for realz" and thus when you do look around your brain perceives it as "yo wtf, when did we get on a carousel". Basically, the more you look around the worse the spins get, which is why the best/first thing you do is close your eyes and just face the ground and not move.
