I call it Routh's Space Dank Theory
[editline]21st August 2013[/editline]
Scene open
Shows enterprise flying gloriously through space, flying around a giant space asteroid nug
Chekov: Captain we're headed towards an unidentifiable dust-cloud
Sulu: Ohh myyyyy it's a space cloud of THC
Kirk: Scotty can our shields filter it out?
Scotty: They cannae captain the shield isn't a fine enough mesh, it'll tear straight through the hull
Kirk: Activate environmental burners, teleport the vapors into the air system.
Uhura: Damn nigga I'm high as fuck

dedicated to the man himself
though you'd probably want to do re-teleport an original sack every once and a while and replace the old signature with the new one because every time the replicator replicates something, it's altered at a very small scale and this can build up over time
How can the mutations build up over time if it still replicates from the original? Or is the original energy signature deleted and replaced with that of the copy each time the replicator is used?
If this is true then it's a horribly flawed and inefficient design and frankly I expected better from 24th century engineers.

it's like a file getting slowly corrupted over time, the ship still does use a computer after all
[editline]21st August 2013[/editline]
and it takes a long time for the replicator to start going off the hook like that, to the point where it's negligible (because it was only brought up in like one episode and never mentioned again)

The most successful engineer of the era was a drunken Scottsman.
What do you expect?

I am no computer scientist but I would have expected ships 300 years in the future to have perfected long-term storage of information, or at least have backups they can reference for data integrity check and repair.

Bump.

Me being a deuce.
Someone explain this to me. I've always been able to get high before, but in the last two or so months, whenever I smoke I would barely get high, and it would only last about 20 minutes before I'm back to normal. I barely smoke any more so my tolerance was zero each time, and I smoked plenty. One time it was two waterfalls, another it was a blunt, and the most recent it was a .6 ish bong. Anyone have any idea what's happening? Also, recently, the same thing has been happening when I drink. Like, I can drink as much as I want, but in under an hour I'm sober again, regardless of how much I'd ate before or how much or what I drank. Am I just not able to do drugs any more?
Oh my god. I destoryed my chest.

If you're smoking indica try sativa and vice versa?
I noticed that with this shit I've been smoking. I'm barely getting anything out of it at all, and it sucks. I think it's just not as good shit and since I developed a bit of a tolerance smoking every night, it's not hitting me as hard. I used up the last of what i ground this morning so maybe I'll try the other strains i have and see what happens.

With the way people often treat each other in all of the other boards here, are you at all surprised?
does this work in source (or can you make it work in source)?
It's very horribly unoptimized (as in the polycount is very very high), it has god knows how many degenerate faces, and probably many more things I don't know about. It probably could be ported to Source, but it'd take a lot of work. Trust me, I tried getting it to run in CryEngine 3 and it was hell.

i've been working with mantras for mindfulness meditation but it got me thinking
if I created a mantra while under the influence of a psychedelic, would returning to the mantra work like a bridge to the psychedelic state of mind without having to take anything
I know that certain things from my trips can trigger the mindframe for a good while after, certain things still "resonate" at that level to this day.. so I genuinely think spending a good few hours on a mantra while peaking could work in the same way if not more so
only one way to find out either way

Something a bit more structured - Done in Sketchbook Pro
Day 8 at the Rehabilitation!
The windows and waves pattern has gotten better and better!
Now after more than 2 months of withdrawal the pattern seems to be 4 days of wave and then a window of undefined length (day 3 so far) but the best thing is that even after i dropped the Quetiapine from my medlist the shocks didn't come back so it is safe to say that i "beat" the withdrawals because the zaps are the worst symptom!
We have been studying a lot of the things that are related to anxiety and the causes of it and i've been starting to learn a lot about myself and why i've been experiencing such strong anxiety through the years.
I'm finally gaining enough confidence to overcome my distorted beliefs and the secrets of my psyche.
Even though it isn't always easy to talk about these things with the instructors but like the old saying goes "No pain, No gain"
And even though my emotions are a little unstable and hard to control, i'm not scared of them anymore.
I never thought i could enjoy life again sober but i was proven wrong.
