My daily activities won't be stopped by some group of hippie environmentalists.
So, are they shutting off the Nuclear Reactors? This sounds like a bad idea, nuking China would get better results.
How about someone keep their lights off for two hours to make up for me not doing this?
This is one of the most moronic and futile gestures I've ever witnessed.
But it will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside because you are doing your part to save the planet! :downs:
I'm going to put all the lights on in my house and put up Christmas lights in the form of the middle finger. Naww
My electric went out for 5 hours today and 20 hours last month so I don't need to do this.
I believe that there is no concrete proof that we cause global warming.
Pass. I already recycle a lot and walk or take public transportation everywhere, turning off my lights for an hour won't do shit.
This is like the bullshit 'get out free' excuse by people who shit up the environment
My sister's having her wedding reception during Earth Hour, so we're going to have an outdoor candlelit dinner thing with about 60 people. It should be really cool.
I don't care about the environment. I'd rather my downloads finish over night.
Doesn't earth hour only save enough energy to take a few cars off the road?
I don't know of anyone who's actually participated in this.
Power Plants will output the same amount of energy regardless if it's used or not. Thus this entire day has no purpose. Except when you turn the lights back on and drain the power produced drastically. ITT: Put a major strain on our power grid. [editline]02:13AM[/editline] Every hour is Earth Hour in North Korea. The little white dot you can see is Kim Jong il's house.
Why on a Saturday? :bravo:
i made a virtual lantern. http://www.earthhour.org/kids/MakeALantern.aspx
so gonna rag the shit out of my car on ther 27th
not sure bout you guys but,I don't wanna shit up my PC or my lights,or probably my TV...
I am not going to do anything. There is no point, it's just to make people feel good. Power stations still have to produce baseline flow and when Earth Hour is up, a fucktonne of people are going to turn all their electrical shit on at the same time.
Good point.
This is so stupid that I think I'm going to turn every light in my house on.
Fuck you guys, I use Hydro power!
I'm gonna rev up my hummer and drive up and down the street.
'dis but with a Cadillac instead, playing mötley crüe, wild side. [editline]10:26PM[/editline]
I think I'll go for a drive in my Cadillac [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/P1030835.jpg[/img_thumb]
Can i join? but in mine?
Me and my family did it last year, it was pretty cool. We played a board game for the entire hour.
I am going to turn all the lights on get the computers and server folding and randomly turn on the dryer, fan force oven and 5 hair dryers for my earth hour [editline]10:59PM[/editline] Also stupid hypocritical eco whores, fuck them "Dont use nuclear power ITS RADIOACTIVE" then they go spurt out "DONT USE COAL POWER IS TO DIRTY" fucking makes your mind up retards
turn my computer off for an hour? oh my god
i say everyone waste power
You guys are kinda missing the point, it's more to raise awareness about climate change and how we can help the environment. There's absolutely no harm in doing it... however whining "hurrr imma turn all my shit on just to piss off the man and damage the planet!" is pretty fucking retarded.
I think the point of this is more to improve awareness, or get people into the habit of consuming less electricity. It's not actually going to do anything in the shortrun.
i'm on hydro :smug: [editline]07:27PM[/editline]
Fuck you guys, I use Hydro power!
high five
