Not with my fucking tax money.
Healing people who are sick, sure.
Helping a bunch of pedophile assholes hang around childeren, no!
Hmm, seeing as how I have blasphemed about 10 times in the OP, no.
You do realise that which you quoted refers to the Middle East, then?
A theist needs a God to tell them that rape and murder is wrong. So you can just stop the discussion at that. Most of the time, you can compare it to living in a psychosis. Shit's normal to them.
tl;dr
I Agree with title.

Oooo there's a quote/refrence about the middle east ima cry now.
Stop whining, it mostly addresses the US of A, now stop complaining about it.

Oh, well I only addressed moving to another country, never did I address compounds.
I don't see anything wrong with boy scouts and I'm pretty sure they won't deny you because of your religion. They even have religious emblems of different denominations and religions for boy scouts.
Alright, here's the thing about the middle-east;-
If you believe in the religion, then these laws aren't a problem for you because you're not going to break them anyway.(hopefully)
If you DON'T, then you can either;-
1) Get the fuck out. What are you doing in a country like this? Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND?
2) Move to a compound. The ones sponsored by agencies and shit don't have most of the country's laws applied to them.
Read the WHOLE THING carefully and slowly.
As a non practicing Catholic, I agree that government positions and organisations should not accept or deny people based on faith/lack of it.
-snip- fuck nvm I understand now.

I can't say I disagree with you, but I was just addressing the OP's view of it by saying that they were exclusive to primarily Christians.
America needs more antidisestablishmentarianism, nuff said
We claim to be a secular nation, even mandate it under our constitution, but stuff like this is clear evidence to the world that a significant portion of the country seeks to establish nothing less than a Christian theocracy, complete with public execution of nonbelievers, homosexuals, adulterers, and anyone else that doesn't fit their specific view of morality. Read the Old Testament sometime and count the number of executions, rapes, and genocides ordered by God.
Apart from all that shit (which is both numerous and shitty) is my serious problem with the fact that religion, even the apparently benign religion of your local church, is dangerous because it pounds one basic concept into the heads of it's believers, from as early an age as possible: It is a virtue to blindly believe something despite all evidence to the contrary. Religious people aren't taught to weigh evidence, look at both points of view, listen to arguments, and decide for themselves. They are indoctrinated to unquestioningly believe what someone in a position of religious authority tells them, and by extension any other person of authority who has the appearance of being pious. I hate to be so arrogant about it, but religion is built on the cultivation of weak-minded sheep who are trained from baptism not to think for themselves.
And that's fucking dangerous. That's what leads people to strap explosives to themselves and blow apart women and children: The blind belief that this is what God wants, and they will be rewarded for it. Even your garden variety church is dangerous simply because it cultivates that attitude of blind subservience that is so easily exploited.
Wait, Epidemick, aren't you a muslim?

What I find funny is when they try to debate why they are right, and it's easy to get to them. You know you win when they either stop typing or tell you your going to hell. Although it's interesting how they can fill any crack in the bible with bullshit explanations.

The people who try to reconcile bible morality with modern morality are pretty funny. The fact is there's practically nothing in the bible that even remotely jives with the moral standards of what we'd consider civilized society.
Dealing with those people is just scary, their thought process really does stop at "Bible/pastor says it, true." No amount of logic or demonstrated fact stands a chance at breaking through the decades of in-group indoctrination they go through.
Atheists really can't afford to sit around and be silent on this sort of thing, because the Christian agenda is ultimately to undo 500 years of cultural and scientific progress, and send us back to the Dark Ages.

I dunno the Ten Commandments seems pretty good morally to me. v:v:v

We need more people who realize this. Sure, it's all well and good to be an arm chair critic, but the fact is, there are more and more people that will do terrible things in the name of god with little to no thoughts about it. It's idiotic. It's good for a Darwin award or two, but it's not something that's okay by any means.

Then let's do something. For fuck's sake you can say whatever you want about how this isn't O.K. but no one really does much except make shitty youtube videos.

You are a product of sin.
I dunno the Ten Commandments seems pretty good morally to me. v:v:v
"You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name."
What goddamn bullshit.
Oh wait, I'm fucked. But hey, they're moral so I have nothing to complain about.
We live in a limited theocracy. Did you not realize that?

I'll bet you can't even name them all without looking them up.
Half of them are about not having other gods anyways.

Wait let me try and do this(I'm an atheist by the way, if you couldn't tell).
1. Thou shalt have no gods before me
2. Thou shalt not worship false idols
3. Thou shalt no use the lord's name in vain
4. Thou Shalt not kill
5. Thou shalt not commit adultery
6. Thou shalt not covet
7. Thou shalt not bear false witness
Fuck I got to 7, the order isn't right either.

There is wisdom in your words.

To be honest, there are really only two, which are:
1. Honor God
2. Honor other people
Really, if you practice #2 then you don't need the other ones to tell you not to kill, rape, steal, etc.
How cute, Internet Atheists arguing yet again about religion.
