now read these words carefully the ONLY thing i like about anime is the animation, i mean American is so shitty and anime flows well, thats kinda all i have good to say about anime ever
Ahahahahaahahahah haah haaha hahahahahah hah ahahahaahah Oh my, are you serious? If there is one thing anime lacks, then it's flow in the animation. Anime is for the most animated in 12 FPS and at least half of the show consists of keyframes that are just sliding across the screen. Go try and make a GIF, you'll see that almost anywhere there is animation the same image is shown for two frames, duplicates, unless the background is sliding or is 3D animated, but the characters are almost always animated at 12FPS on a 24FPS video. Western cartoon however has much much much simpler designs and backgrounds, thus they can easilier animate at 24FPS, but I would guess the usual FPS is around 16-18. In anime you can usually see that the animation is a bit slow and laggy. But you get quickly used to it of course and I wouldn't expect it to be differently since they do put so much more detail into their designs and most companies have ridicilously low budgets. But I'd rather have anime with simpler design and smoother animation than more complex design and laggier animation.
INVADER ZIM
Is that supposed to be funny?
Anime. It's more plot-oriented (usually, there are a lot of random plotless shows too) and more interesting to watch.
Futurama was created by a yank, so American. Off topic: Bloody hell I just had a Déjà vu when I wrote this.
Americunt animation. This even sounds terrible. Anime. This even sounds... uuuh. Okay. Neither.
Too much variation in each. Both have their examples of excellence (Futurama and Ghost in the Shell, to name a few), and examples of pure batshit retardness (latter episodes of Family Guy/Cleveland Show, and Bleach/Naruto). I would comment that it's more difficult to find good examples of non-comedic American animation, but really, that's more of a cultural difference than anything else.
I haven't seen a good plot in any Anime series yet. Unless you're talking about movies like Spirited Away.
I haven't seen a good plot in any Anime series yet. Unless you're talking about movies like Spirited Away.
How did Spirited Away have a good plot? It's the same magical children movie we've seen fifty thousand times before both from the western and eastern side of the world. And the ending was rushed and lame as fuck. Good plot? The only thing I can think of is Clannad. Even though it isn't really that much of a plot either, but it's a good story. Higurashi has a good plot though. Aoi Bungaku too, it's 6 different stories. Baccano! too.
Don't talk smack about Spirited Away :colbert:
I'll talk smack about generic movies as much as I damn well please.
I'll talk smack about generic movies as much as I damn well please.
Well that's just, :colbert:
Given the two, I'd say American, though "ANYTHING NON-ANIME" would phrase my attitude more accurately.
depends on the show itself Anime: Death Note American Animation: Family Guy Simpsons South Park American Dad etc.
Anime ofcourse [editline]05:10PM[/editline]
I haven't seen a good plot in any Anime series yet. Unless you're talking about movies like Spirited Away.
Watch death note

Anime is god awful, I'm surprised people are so attached to that bullshit.
Anime is god awful, I'm surprised people are so attached to that bullshit.
And 99% of the bandwagoners who says this have never watched anime, or haven't at least seen a decent title.
[editline]02:34AM[/editline] there are plenty of Anime out there. You just need to stop generalizing.
there might be "plenty" of anime out there, but it's all the same. you can pretend that it's not but you know that i'm right
there might be "plenty" of anime out there, but it's all the same. you can pretend that it's not but you know that i'm right
How is it all the same? Neither side has a real arguemant Both are generalising based off a select few they have seen
Anime. Dumb poll. of course all the Amerikuh carrtoonerss are gonna hate on Anime because they haven't even watched it. someone on the first page said anime story's are often incomprehensable. This is the level of retard that us anime likers are subjected too.

I'm not a weeaboo so... :patriot:
I'm gonna say American, due to shows like Superjail
Up until last week i thought all anime was horrible because i hadn't actually watched any, decided to watch some, was better then i thought.
I'm not a weeaboo so... :patriot:
Because all anime watchers are weaboos
American
Because all anime watchers are weaboos
I don't think they ever understood what weaboo actually means
they both have their ups and downs but I prefer anime [editline]01:22PM[/editline]
Because all anime watchers are weaboos
the majority are
there might be "plenty" of anime out there, but it's all the same. you can pretend that it's not but you know that i'm right
Sure, assuming you know what you're talking about.
How is it all the same? Neither side has a real arguemant Both are generalising based off a select few they have seen
if it isn't fantasy sword fighting and magic it's little schoolgirls and no matter what you know that every girl in every anime has tits the size of the moon
if it isn't fantasy sword fighting and magic it's little schoolgirls and no matter what you know that every girl in every anime has tits the size of the moon
Then you've only seen the bad side of anime. Fanservice itself isn't all that bad, but shows filled with it are pretty mediocre. There are plenty of good shows out there with a decent or good plot, likable characters, animation is another thing. The fact that you're just generalizing it without any knowledge of it makes your argument dubious.
