• Bans for language in online game servers? SERIOUSLY?

I think that server owners should be allowed to do what they want, since they paid for the server. But I don't see their reasons for doing it. As far as I know, on line interactions aren't rated, since anything can happen. I also don't see why server owners care. Unless the server owner is a dad or a friend of a dad who knows that his kids play on it a lot, then I can see why. But otherwise it's just kind of paedophilic. I say this because obviously the server owner wants little kids on their server and doesn't want them getting scared off by bad language and porn sprays, so that they can talk to the little kids. You see? They're doing you a favour by banning you, because you are no longer in the presence of paedophiles.
I got banned from and ego server for swearing. Once it lifted, I binded my mouse 1 button to "say "fuck this server you are all immature faggots who are drenched in the admin's nigger cum" Spammed that everytime a kid said something on the mic, or when someone spoke in chat. I've since been perma'd, and I've been IP banned from their website. O well :v:
I bet it was worth it anyway.
I love it how in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 American soldiers say stuff like "GOT THAT MOTHERFUCKER" or "OH FUCK GET DOWN, GRENADE!" and yet you can get banned for saying "shit" or "fuck".
Is BFBC2 banning really that common?
Is BFBC2 banning really that common?
Oh boy, don't get me started.
Oh poor you, you got banned from a server that is being paid for by a guy who's rules you just broke? That's so unfair! Try hosting a server yourself, and let people swear if that's how you like things. Most of the time, these bans aren't there to protect innocent minds, but to avoid somebody alienating the community by hurling abuse.
Internet Innocent minds :frog:
