People scare you :v:?
The people who go to fancy clothing stores and listen to bad music scare me.
Pink is good in taste I have a pink undershirt or two from AE, looks good with some blue/yellow polos
You're not serious right...? Right?....
1000 posts! Congrats.
I hate todays fashion because much of the stuff tends to impractical, uncomfortable, and overpriced. Im not gonna pay an extra $100-$200 for a pair of fucking JEANS because they are skinny and have a brand name all over them. I wears whats comfortable. If it happens to be fashionable, awesome, if not, then whoever decides to judge me based on what Im wearing can go fuck themselves. Edit: I have no trouble meeting people either. People who decide to avoid me because Im not wearing enough shit from Tony Walker and Hollister shit probably aren't people worth talking to anyway.
Implying all women do. Sorry you're wrong.
Girls don't care too much about appearance, It's more about doing the best you can with what you've got, that's why I didn't bother to mention attracting women in the OP. I find my shoes make a good talking point though, and a lot of people tend to notice them and pass comment. To date I've never received a negative comment on my shoes.
You're not serious right...? Right?....
Oh lord! He likes a color! Burn the queer! And most women in the teenage age group do. If you go out to a theater or a mall and see what the men are wearing you'd notice. I cannot speak on the whole female group for what they like but I do see a majority into Hollister and AE.
Damn him to hell for trying to fit in and have a chance to meet people. If you like it or not does not matter, it's what's in right now. Look back to the colors of the 80's and you'll call it crazy or stupid. He's just going with the times and maybe try to have a social life.
If you don't try to fit in through clothing your style will be timeless and therefore you don't have to try to fit in even in the future.

Hopefully the 'mandigan' will have its day soon
Yep
Cool!
I plan on dressing like a true gentleman when I grow up. Right now I would just look goofy wearing suits and hats and white shirts and such. [editline]09:58PM[/editline]
Cool!
Thanks!
If you don't try to fit in through clothing your style will be timeless and therefore you don't have to try to fit in even in the future.
Not when the style consist of plain shirts and jeans. You gotta try and work with it. I'm not saying buy 300$ pairs of jeans for the logo but do be creative. Try some colors and pink is one you can mess with. If you refuse to buy brand names then go get clothes from Wal-Mart or wherever and mix and match affordable articles. Perhaps it will catch on.
Paying for brand name clothes just to be "fashionable" is a god damn joke. If you can't get along on a day to day basis with some cheap, no-brand/ cheap-brand clothing, then you are a very shallow person. If you buy the clothes to pull, then the girls you are getting are more likely just as shallow as you. It's a god damn item of clothing designed to protect you from the weather primarily, design should be an afterthought, and in the case of most fashionable clothes, design is the primary purpose, so they item of clothing falls to pieces are extended use, while my ~£3.50 shirt/ jeans/ whatever is still going strong. I can understand having a nice suit (not that pansy shit D&G make, a real suit), or a nice set of casual clothes for going out in, but even then, most of the brands look like arse and really make you look like a idiot. Plus a lot of fashionable clothes look like shit, feel just as bad, and are horribly over priced.
Cool!
well there was that one episode of The Office where Michael was wearing a Missterious or whatever suit that had pink lining
I'm all for dressing how you want to, I mean I used to dress all nerdy like and look like a right tool, I'm not much better in the general consensus now in that I dress semi-punk/normal but at least I have a style. I mean to me, what I don't get is why catwalk fashion looks so god damn awful I'm sorry but you'd look shit if you wore that. It always seems to be impractical and crazy ass shit that they show off, like why the fuck are these guys wearing masks? But as I said, dress how you want, I'm well aware people laugh at my mohawk or how I dress but at the end of the day if you're happy who gives a shit.
You didn't say you would wear it with a suit. douchebag pic Is what was implied.
This is true. I'd never pop a collar it just looks stupid and uncomfortable

Most catwalk stuff is never put into production, it's just to push the boundaries and inspire people. I'd snap that Givenchy black suit up in a second, I think it's genuinely awesome. Also, I didn't make it clear that it was pink dress shirts that I wore, but yeah, I don't really like pink/yellow polo shirts and such, but I think Pink dress shirts are really good for standing out from the crowd.
no pink

I do agree with you that Savile Row/ tailors are definitely the place to go, but as I'm a student I don't have £4000 to spend on one currently. Also Ozwald Boateng Suits are my favourite, I like how he's pushing the boundaries, mainly on suit colour and such from the traditional, sombre colours typically found on Savile Row.
I wear hiking shoes and pants and a t-shirt. Clothes are a useful tool; the furthest I'll go into making clothes a "fashion statement" is buying a shirt from a band I like - and even then I'm paying less than if I buy from a popular brand.
Right!
Jude Law would look good in a burlap sack.
My stand on prices is pretty reasonable actually, let's take Polo shirts for example. Superdry Polo's retail at £30, which is a reasonable price in my mind, the polos are far more soft and comfortable than any polos I've felt and they're muscle fit, so they fit well in a smaller size than regular/classic sizing. Stitching is good quality and they come in a wide variety of colours and styles. Hollister sells polos for less than this, at about £15-20. That feel about the same. They have less variety of plain coloured polo shirts but they do have a wide variety of bright striped/ coloured versions which look awesome. Ralph Lauren sells Polos for £90, this is overpriced in my opinion. Added to this, they feel awfully itchy, and whilst they come in a wide variety of colours I feel they fit less well than the Superdry ones, and they don't have many varied styles, just the same pony (which is still pretty cool though). Other designer brands sell polos for £100+ and right now, I'd never think of paying that much for a polo, because it is very much overpriced. Maybe when I'm working in a proper job, full time, I'll consider these if they're extraordinary.
